Great pick up, and by one penny to boot.  8)   I have a feeling that will be the last time that other bidder only goes 17 cents above a round dollar amount.  ;)

It was just officially announced earlier that the Xbox version went gold today which means it will in fact be in stores on July 16th.

I know what I'll be buying next week.  8)

This is the game I'm most looking forward to this summer (been waiting for it for months, stupid delays  ::)). As of right now, the tentative date for release of it is sometime around July 15th-17th. It has not officially been confirmed for that date but that is what most game stores and sites have it listed as, for now anyway. I plan on picking it up for the X-Box as my computer is not near fast enough to play it plus I don't want to wait another several months for the PC release.

I agree though, this game looks and sounds awesome.  ;D

Well count me out then as my BMI is about 18.4. So by that, I'm underweight. Tell me something I didn't already know.  ::)

I don't know if this counts as strange or bizarre but this is a pretty odd story.

A couple days ago while at the gas station filling up, an elderly man was filling up his car in the same row of pumps as mine but was about 15 ft down from me. So I'm standing there waiting for mine to finish and all the sudden I hear something that sounds like running water nearby. After hearing this for a few seconds, I look over at this guy and gas is just gushing out of his gas tank. He didn't even notice as his eyes were locked on the screen that shows the total amount owed. Meanwhile he has gas pouring all down the side of car, on his shoes and a nice big puddle forming under his car. Finally a few seconds later he noticed and stopped but not before there was a puddle a good 6 ft in diameter underneath his car. I went in to pay just shortly after he did and the area up by cashier just reeked of gas.

Poor guy. It was kind of funny though too. I can't say I've ever witnessed anything like that before.

Just got my 12" Gamorrean Guard from Matt. It was packed perfectly and arrived faster than I expected.  ;D

And as a bonus, the box even lacked the "Lakers Rule" that has graced previously packages.  :P

Thanks Matt!!

I'll play along and share my story.

My wife, who lived in NY when I met her (I lived here in MN), and I decided that she was going to move here to live with me and start our lives together. We had talked about someday getting married but it was never "official" or anything like that. Well, moving time came, I flew out to NY to help her load up a moving truck and drive it back to MN. It took the better part of 2 days to drive here, and with help we had the truck unloaded by very late evening of the 2nd day. By this time my wife was tired and sore. I suggested she take a nice warm bath to unwind. To make things even better, I got out some candle for her so she could take her bath by candlelite (gotta set the mood you know  ;)). Once she was in there and relaxed some, I came in holding a single red rose for her. I knelt down besides the tub and as I handed it to her, I said a few things and then popped the question. As she took the rose, she looked down and noticed that sticking out from the center of the rose was the ring that I had got for her. She was pretty much blown away and as I had expected, said yes.  ;D

LEGO / Re: Ultimate Collector Star Destroyer.

Yep, I have one of these. Built and currently displayed on a coffee table in a corner of my SW room.  ;D  Yes, it takes a whole coffee table roughly 2' by 4' to display this thing, it's that big.

I have not had any of the sagging problems that I have seen other people report. Mine has been sitting there for several months now and looks the same way now as it did back when I first built it. The only thing I could possibly think as to why some sag is maybe they aren't making sure every piece is firmly pressed into place. Especially when it comes to all the plates that are used in building the hull. If you aren't pressing those together firmly, I could see how sagging could happen due to the weight of this thing.

I'm not so sure this will ever show up in retail. Due to the hugeness of the packaging, the retail price of it, and seeing how retailers got burned by other larger expensive sets like the UCS Yoda and RBR, I have to think that retailers may shy away from a set like this.

Very cool. Though I was hoping to have been the winner, I'm happy to see Brent win it. I'm sure he'll spend his winnings on stuff I need to trade to me.  ;)

Congrats man.  :)

Jim, you're treading on thin ice too, bud.  Especially when considering the recent "Dodgers suck" comments you've made to me as well...   >:(   :-*

But they do su..I mean, no they don't suck. At least not until I get my Gammy from you.  ;D

I don't own or have not read any of the books yet but did really enjoy both movies. I'll be picking up this book in the morning too and will probably start reading the series soon.

You know, you're the second person to ask if my name has any GI Joe connections. But no it doesn't. In fact, I wasn't even aware of a Chuckles character until after I made this name. For the record it's the name of a cat I had and I liked the name so much decided to use it here too.  ;D
