Six figures, hmmm. My guesses/wish list:
3 NEW Figures:
Commander Cody - no brainer, if he is coming next year, it'll be here
Padme (pick any one of the RotS outfits they haven't done yet)
Anakin Skywalker (Starfighter Pilot) - Like the Red Leaded Obi-Wan w/nice rubbery cloak and headgear
3 Repack/Repaint Figures:
Clone Trooper (Gray Highlights)
General Grievous (either the SP or RotS versions)
RotS Battle Droid (Blue/Pilot)
I just really hope there's a super articulated Mace Windu in this wave. So here's my suggestions/hopes/dreams...Good one Ed. I agree with everything except there needs to be a Padme in there. Probably the first scene she's in with the Bun Hair. So ditch the BD and inset Padme and you have a perfect combo. They can release that 501st clone until the cows come home (or repaint him as an Utapau CLone.
1. Super articulated Mace Windu (with all the fixins'!)
2. General Grievous (with sturdier plastic and softgoods cape)
3. Neimoidian Captain "All batteries fire! FIRE!!!" (that guy is classic)
4. 501st Clone
5. Captain Cody
6. Battle droid

News from the rumor mill:
*new* - Coruscant Fire Fighter Pilot
*new* - Lushros Dofine (Invisible Hand Captain)
*new* - Commander Cody
*new* - Foul Moudama: Talz Jedi
(repack) - Anakin Skywalker
(repack) - Clone Trooper
(repack) - Ki-Adi Mundi
(repack) - Obi-wan Kenobi
Battle of Coruscant from Episode III will include 6 figures, each with bonus mini hologram figure.
My suggestions:
The six
-new Bail Organa with the robe and fur stole from the Senate landing area
-Neimoidian pilot (new)
-Senator Giddean Danu (http://starwars.com/databank/character/giddeandanu/img/eu_bg.jpg) (new) -- IMHO one of the coolest outfits in the whole saga
-Padmé with "TIE fighter hair" (new)
-new Captain Typho
-POTJ Security Battle Droid rereleased in red security, blue pilot, gold commander, and plain -- same sculpt but with maybe slightly thicker legs for better stability
//quote]
Yawn! Hasbro would be committing suicide with this. Why not just call it the "Pegwarmer" collection?

I'm not opposed to any of those figures showing up one to a wave...but a full case of those would sit on the shelves, and then we'd be whining that Hasbro didn't know what they were doing, blah blah blah...
I'd love to see that Padme - we were robbed by only getting one Padme in the ROTS collection. I think the connection to Leia with similar hair styles would help it sell quite well.
I'm Ki Adi will be holo. It will probably be the EP1 sculpt, which I guess is all they can do unless they augment the ROTS one somehow. It's odd the RS '411' failed to dig any dirt on the clone, which is the only real question mark we have on that wave.
Damn, no one in town carries that magazine. If they're going to have breaking news like this, a subscription may be in order.

1x Lushros Dofine

http://www.rebelscum.com/story/front/New_Clones_Revealed_96413.asp
While digging through the RS forums for these pics a little bit ago, it was mentioned that the clone with the Geonosis wave was an error, and we'd just be seeing it with the Coruscant wave. Who knows for sure, but that would make a little more sense I guess.
Looks like I might be ordering a case of this wave, just to make sure I get what I want. ::)
And they better not be EE.com Exclusive Hunt figures, where as retail stores would gbet different "Hunt" figs.
this is just getting ridiculous... 2 more case variants showing up...
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 4 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D4)
2x Darth Vader with lightsaber (Saga #13), 1x Scorch (Republic Commando), 1x Coruscant Fire Pilot, 1x Commander Cody, 2x Clone Trooper, 1x Foul Moudama (Muftak Jedi), 1x Anakin Skywalker, 1x Ki-Adi-Mundi (Hologram), 1x General Grievous, 1x Neimoidian Pilot.
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 5 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D5)
2x Darth Vader with lightsaber (Saga #13), 1x Coruscant Fire Pilot, 1x Commander Cody, 1x Neimoidian Pilot, 2x Clone Trooper, 1x Foul Moudama (Muftak Jedi), 1x Anakin Skywalker, 1x Ki-Adi-Mundi (Hologram), 1x General Grievous, 1x Obi-Wan Kenobi . (Subject to change.)
That's SIX differnt case assortments for this wave... and only ONE case (Rev 5) has all of the figures from the wave:
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 0 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D) - missing Fire Pilot
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 1 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D1) - missing Commande Cody
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 2 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D2) - missing Foul Moudama (Muftak Jedi)
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 3 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D3) - missing Holo Ki-Adi Mundi
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 4 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D4) - missing Obi-Wan Kenobi
Star Wars Saga Collection Action Figures Wave 4, Rev 5 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/aff-home.asp?id=JE-405087801&number=HS85770D5) - has all 9 figures
If this chase figure thing is for real, then this is where I get off. Hasbro obviously thinks they're so desperate they need to create artificial demand by having us live in the stores in hopes of finding holos or 'bounty hunt' figs. The only thing that's obvious is that they're not in contact with reality. Chase figs alienate collector bases, and when that's your bread and butter, you may as well pack it in.
And I was thinking: I noticed how all the waves so far have included repacks of figs originally available in multi-packs/deluxe pieces (Barada, Riekken, 500 Vader, Poggle, 3-PO, etc.) and wondered if the Coruscant wave would continue this trend. It makes me wonder if Grievous might be the deluxe version, or if Anakin could be the Evo one.
Looking damn good! That Muftak Jedi looks horribly unarticulated though. :(
Holo Ki-Adi is the EI version… great :(
Greivous - I dig the accessory, I want a few of those panel things. So I will actually probably get 4 of this figure, and customize the actual figures for droid parts.
I can't believe Hasbro would offer yet another Neimoidian, since every single one they've ever released has warmed pegs.
Cody: Pass
Talz: Will Get
QuoteI can't believe Hasbro would offer yet another Neimoidian, since every single one they've ever released has warmed pegs.
And I'm sure this won't be the last Neimoidian they offer, and I'm glad. ;D :P
Inadvertent imitation, as for the comment about how they shouldn't make any more Nemoidians, I thought you said you no longer collected the 3-3/4 line anymore? Either way, the line needs variety. Just because not eveyone wants a certain figure made, if it has screen time, and a line in a film, then there is a market for it - including me. Short pack it, and I can still get a figure I want, and the bandwagon clone fans can stick to their liking as well. Personally I'm waiting on a good ROTS Nute Gunray!

I was just wondering if HOTP mixed these two up by accident.
I got an e-mail from EE that says that this wave is IN STOCK. Can you believe that? :o Three waves in one month. '06 will be done by March. :P

I think that e-mail just meant that the Carkoon wave was now in-stock. The rest of the waves are just up for pre-order.... at least that's how I interpreted it.
I'm real disappointed they didn't make a new Padme either. Is she going to show up at all this year?

Yes, Target exclusive Snow Bunny Padme is due this year.

Um, pardon my asking, but do you have a link that indicates that? I'm genuinely asking, because I've made the same statement on these very boards, but in a rather sarcastic manner.

Actually believe it or not, I think Anton is right. I went to a local dealer the other day, EPlanettoys.com, and the owner there told me the same thing. He said they were going to get the new figures in soon (within a week or so) I asked which waves, he said all of them, Geonosis, Coriscant, Carkoon, Hoth, and the Cantina. They order directly from Hasbro. He said there would be almost 8 waves out by March. this could really be one hellish year.
I'd say it's 50-50 we'll get to #100 this year.
Not a bad case at all and I think I'm only missing Obi-wan then.
That's a good one - I ordered the case that contained the chase Cody and AT-AT driver.
I thought you were sticking to brick and mortar Jeff? :P
And as ruiner indicates, I didn't see that case on EE so I'm hoping it's accurate.

Looks like the boots could be removable by the back side of them? See the straps? Looks like the boots can come off easily.
Is it just me, or do Cody's shoulders look like the more traditional shoulder joints, instead of ball-socket joints in this pic?
Link
To me, it looks like this:
Left shoulder - traditional
Left elbow - ball
Right shoulder - traditional
Right elbow - ball
Alright.
Both hips - traditional
Both knees - ball
Ankles - ?
It's difficult for me to make the ankles out. The right one looks like it's got a ball joint, but the left one looks static. But that would be silly, wouldn't it, for one to be articulated and the other not?
To me, it looks like this:

Yeah, please say you guys like Cody. I don't know if I can take 3-4 pages of griping like at the other site.
I have to admit, although I don't like to complain about articulation, a lack of ball joints on Cody makes me stop and say, huh?
However, I can't believe we're seeing half the line packaged already this year.
Foul: "These boots were made for walkin'"
So, some of the ebay guys are getting their stock in from over seas sources. I guess that means that we should be seeing this wave in about two to three weeks?
I'm glad there's no army builders this wave, aside from the Utapau clone that, with luck, I will be done army building with buy the time it comes out.
Just a question, is Lushros 2x per case?
Just a question, is Lushros 2x per case?
No, I don't think so. There are at least 5 different cases planned for this wave and he is 1x per case in 4 of those cases and 0x per case in the fifth one.
Great. >:( What happened to the other Geonosis wave assortments?
Great. >:( What happened to the other Geonosis wave assortments?
uh oh...maybe some truth to the Hasbro having problems manufacturing and meeting supply rumor. Perhaps this wave will have a short life as well and all it's case revisions won't hit either? I only saw wave 2.5(geo) hit 2 times at my stores.
No UGHs at all, and mine came from a sealed case. The case was "Wave 3". I'll get the assortment # when I'm back home. 1 each of the new figures and 2 Vaders.

Hmmm... I wonder then if what people are finding so far is this case: Wave 4, Revision 5 (http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=HS85770D5), which is a case assortment that EE is offering that has 1x each new figure with 2 Vader and 2 #26 Clone.
But, while the first five wave 4 cases at EE (wave 4, wave 4 rev1, wave 4 rev2, wave 4 rev3, wave 4 rev4) all include the "Add some rare carded action figures to your collection!" UGH disclaimer, this Wave 4, Revision 5 case does not mention of the UGH figures included in this one...

Holy crap, are people really that stupid :o
Maybe he's darth vader on coruscant attacking the temple? He does have the cloak on right? I know it's dumb that it says 'battle on coruscant' and they have him in there as vader.... kind of like graga on the Naboo wave...
What sucks are the prices people are getting for these figs on ebay. Now more and more people who dont collect will be grabbing these figs to place for auction.

I'm much happier with rereleased figures when they good strides are made towards making the figure more movie-accurate. This was probably the best Grievous to use, and now that he actually is painted correctly, he's a very cool figure, I think.

That Grievous figure may be painted better, but HELLO, that figure is still over an inch short. Look at Grievous in the movie, he TOWERS over everybody...battle droids, Obi Wan, everyone. This figure is so out of scale it's actually not even usable in dioramas. It's still a piece of crap until they get the height right. It should be just under 5", not 3 3/4".
Finally got home from work so I can post a picture of today's score. :)

And the greatest part is they put out 3 or 4 versions of that piece of **** so far and every single one of them is an underscaled midget.
Really?
When you only have one, it is.
Really?

It is also a lot when you have none. :-\
Does that make him the first SW figure ever with removable footwear? :D
I smell a Barbie/Star Wars crossover in the works :D

Just wrapped up the Firespeeder Pilot as well. He doesn't seem very Star-Warsy in his costume design, but I really like the figure's sculpt, articulation, and accessories. Yo Joe.

Does Dofine's hat come off?
Does the Foul's lightsaber fit in the hand? If it does, I MAY reconsider buying him.
Is Lushros' head ball-jointed?
Does Dofine's hat come off?
No. :(
Those Minnetonka guys.... ;D
but in case it's not a random incident people may want to keep an eye on the figure at the store when choosing which figures to pick up.
Quotebut in case it's not a random incident people may want to keep an eye on the figure at the store when choosing which figures to pick up.
Well it looks like us Canadians dont have much of a choice.
However, when do you estimate the wave will hit us here in the north?
Well, Cody doesnt do all that much fighting. In the movies you would be right, including EU you would be wrong. ;D
He helps his troops secure a landing area and then he stays there.
But yeah he could have more articulation.
No Jason, Canada is seriously lagging behind at the moment. Hoth wave's been and gone but will likely re-appear again before long. Carkoon wave is still abundant.
Unfortunately Hasbro Canada is not often on the ball, though ROTS (until the last 12) was a serious exception to the rule, we saw a lot and not much later than you guys.
But TSC looks to be about the same as the old ways, where Hasbro Canada produces tons of early waves and won't ship later waves until those are sold out. That the Hoth wave came means the Carkoon wave is only internal store distribution issues now, so most of what should come is Hoth until HC runs out of it. Then we'll go through the whole process with the Geonosis wave before seeing the Coruscant wave. By the time it hits up here I'll be long done with being interested in it.
F*******************
I go out of town for Spring Break and actually socialize, and I'm repaid by not being around to look for Coruscant figures?
Argh.

*Sigh*
You and me both.
Damn Brent, sounds like Hasbro hates Canadians. But at the same time, it also sounds like a lot of what Hasbro does in general, heavily produce and distribute the first wave of a new line to get the retailers excited but then everyone quickly realizes they overdid it as the product is hard to move. So that screws the distribution of later waves which take forever to come out in sufficient numbers that it frustrates everyone. The other night at Target a mom looking for toys for her son was pissed that all she could find was the Carkoon wave, she just wanted to find NEW toys for her son. Is that so hard to ask for? Apparently, the answer is yes. :(
I'll give a thunbs up for the Fire Speeder pilot. I openedone last night and have to say I'm impressed, but my question is, why give so much detail and articulation to a minor BG character? Cody could have been done in this quality in stead.
Cool pic Brent- I hadn't seen the canadian background for these before.
I have wasted mucho gas this week only to find hoth vaders and empty pegs. But I am hopeful I will run across this wave soon.
Mostly because the cardback on the other side is generic as well.
The complication is a language requirement we have here for merchandise to be labeled in both official languages of Canada, English and French. To get around that Hasbro manufactures the tri-logo or tri-language cards with English, French and Spanish to sell in Canada and Mexico. The cardback is generic by wave and the back of the card will not have figure specific information on it, rather a picture of other "available" figures. That way they only need to print a single cardback for each wave (or in the case of OTC, a single cardback) which is considerably cheaper.
$$
I thought it was because they were afraid all the bright colors on the US movie scene cards would over stimulate the Canadians? :-X
I found these guys at Target today.
Yeah buying for kids adds a whole new ****storm to it all... I gotta get a Cody for one of the boys.Like father like son? :P
Finding him Jango was a pain. he just got it the other day because we happened to see him while we were out. I'd gotten him a preview one a while back, but he wanted the Kamino one that is shipping now...
And god bless him he complained about the ****** articulation on it! :) My pride just swelled.
Well I heard somewhere that his head actually comes off inside the helmet when you try to remove the helmet. :(
I set my Cody in my clone display today and discovered that he has a hard time standing without his stand. :(
Great, just great I am getting a freakshow! >:(
I keep hearing this too...
Sounds like Hasbro has some splainin' to do... That's a real shame too considering how anticipated it is. The legs sound really interesting if they're pre-posed. I was thinking it looked ok by photos but now... Id unno. I did think the legs looked spread apart awkwardly.
Just when you thought it was a good figure... :-\
With the helmet on though the figure looks pretty darn good.
This image rocks, wish I had an Eopie.
Sigh, the spending never ends
and 2) looks like a steaming pile of horse ****. :D
But you'll still end up buying him.
but let's face it nobody wants to pay $7 for a fabric cloak for their Pilot Obi's they already have.
That picture is sad. That guys mom must be so proud...
I'm thinking that gathering up a bunch of swapped out figures like that could make a really cool niche collection. Although most of them are no where near as interesting as that pair.
What pisses me off most about that pic is that that Target is selling figs for $5.89. What gives?
What pisses me off most about that pic is that that Target is selling figs for $5.89. What gives?
I saw my first sign of collecting dishonesty (other than scalping) for the first time in 9 years of collecting tonight. Some jackass bought a few Coruscant Obi-Wans opened them, took the robes, and returned the figures without them. >:(
This tells me WM just isn't really interested in SW right now, and not that they're getting "shorted" on anything from Hasbro. I think they expect the line to die and are treating it as such... TRU at least is getting stuff in for once.
