Title: Separated-at-birth twins get married
Post by: P-Siddy on January 11, 2008, 04:06 PM
An alternate universe, yet real, Luke and Leia?? (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080111/wl_uk_afp/britainchildrenadoptionmarriage)

Not much about the couple really, than adoption laws.

This article hits home for me, as my wife and I probably would not have children today if not for the IVF procedure.  I don't get how the argument or knowing your biological parents' identity has anything to do with assisted reproduction though.  You could have the same issue with a non-assisted twin birth where one of the children is given up for adoption... ???

I wonder if they divorced.

I wonder if they divorced.

"David Alton, an independent, pro-life member of the Lords, said the brother and sister were granted an annulment after a high court judge ruled that the marriage had never validly existed."

Uh, you don't need a divorce if your marriage was annulled and never validly existed.

Ewwww!

That's worse than the Polish guy who walked into a brothel to use it's services and find his wife working there.

...I dunno... This is sort of like choosing which method of castration you would prefer.

I guess I just keep thinking what are the odds? Of all the people you come in contact throughout life, the one you choose to fall in love with would be a twin that was separated at birth and possibly you never knew you had.

I can only guess they had a special "connection", but it was the kind that twins have that they can sense the other's emotions.
