Hey gang,
since there are more than one Parjai troopers (comm fox) does that mean they are "Grunts" under Cody? Same with Comm Neyo, being more than one with that helmet style; would the "Grunts" be like the target clones, with the circle/Neyo symbols?
I know there was no diff in armor w/Thire, would that be the case with the above questions?
thanks for the help ya'll.

I read that Neyo's grunts wore the same helmet design he did so Neyo wouldn't stand out as a commander...like in 'Nam when soldiers were asked not to salute their commanders as to not make him a target. The parja troops, I think they all wear the same helmet as well...as it is for high altitude drops. Hope that helps some.

I think neyo had Jaig eyes on his helmet.
They were also worn by clone assasins.

Thanks guys, yeah that does help. what are Jaig Eyes?
-
Neyo didn't have Jaig eyes on his helmet, and he did have the same uniform as others in his outfit. Fordo had those. For more Neyo info, see the SW Databank (http://www.starwars.com/databank/character/commanderneyo/index.html).

thnx 4 the link mate. still dont know wht jaig i's r.

okay, Jaig eyes are especially given as an honor to clone troopers Neyo and most of his troopers wore jaig eyes but also had standard phase 2 armor.
Every legion has a variety of armor for they're troopers, there is the scout armor, recon armor, standard phase 1 and 2 armor, scuba armor ect. ect.
Neyo's troopers wore a mix, even though not spotted off screen his troopers would wear a variety of different armor as would most legions.

Cool, thanks man. is there any place I get get an example of what the Jaig Eyes are?
sounds like a pretty cool thing to add.

Aren't the Jaig eyes the things on Commander Fordo's head?

Not the best angle there, but you get the idea...

oh yeah, I can make them out. thanks for the great pix man.

sucha great scene! i love when he throws his rifle at the SBD!
ahhhh..... 8)
So anyway, the "Jaig eyes" are the painted-on symbols then? not the type of visor incorporated into the helmet?
-
The "Jaig eyes" is the commander neyo helmet.
The emblems on each side of fordos helmet is just a design.
In fact if you look closely through the cartoon during the Coruscant battles you can see a couple of other officers wearing the same helmet and same design or just the same desing.

Ok, according to the wookieepedia, they ARE the sigils, and NOT the helmet/visor design.
That's what I thought, and makes FAR more sence, especially given the context.
From the early concept of Boba Fett (apparently), you can see just what they are:

And now that I think of it - I put those on my custom McQuarrie Boba (tho they were smaller) when I made him a few years ago - just didn't know what they were....
Anywho, thanks In Rem!
-
:o whoa, I screwed up.
I was under the impression that the design on his helmet was just a way of telling officers apart from the troopers.
hmmmm...neat.
The eyes look weird though.

You ATE your Llama!?!?!
;) Uh, I mean, yeah, they are wierd... but I guess I can see the hawk face in 'em... :-\
-
That's it, CC. No room for error. You're outta here!
-

-
I painted them freehand, but mine aren't near as good as Ripley's, which can be found here (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=10110.30), at the bottom of the page.

Fordo is NOT Neyo. - He just looks a lot like him in the CW ::) (and was probably supposed to be the same dude, but, ya know, EU explains these discrepancies away nicely).
Fordo is an ARC commander (ARC-77), who made it all the way through the wars to the battle on Coruscant.
As seen here (http://starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Alpha-77) in the Wookieepedia:
