Another great trade with Chris!  His lightning-fast shipping puts me to shame (don't worry your stuff is on the way with my apologies).

"The Big Lebowski" and "Raising Arizona" are two of my favourite comedies of all time.
"Fargo" is just a great movie period.
And don't forget their debut "Blood Simple".

Amen.

WWII dead:

Britain:  326,000
USA:  295,000
Canada:  39,000

We must never forget the ultimate sacrifice of MANY people for the freedoms we take for granted today.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: LFL Summit...OT DVD's and a TV Show !?!?!!
« on: November 6, 2003, 09:07 PM »
Just my opinion, but I think a SW TV show spells one thing and one thing only:

D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R   :o

A badly-done TV show would just diminish the series further, finishing the job that Lucas started with the prequels.
If this is true, the fact that it was announced at a licensing summit is all too appropriate.  It seems that it's all about "the brand" and money now  :'(

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Anyone Buy the Battlestar Box Set?
« on: October 26, 2003, 12:53 PM »
No offence to die-hard fans here, but if you haven't seen this show in 20 years and have fond memories of it I strongly recommend renting before buying.
I too loved this show as a child, anything space-related or similar to SW was fine by me.  But a few years ago I rented the "theatrical" movie pilot of Battlestar.  It is god-awful!  The effects, the "plot", the acting....uugghh.  The Cylons were still kinda cool, but...let's just say I had a hard time finishing the video.
IMO your money would be much better spent elsewhere.
