Good point on the Clone Pilot, Miseria...

Thanks!

BrentS -

Let me add in that I really, really like your alien. He's very different from what we've seen before, and the parts you used to flesh out his design actually explain his look.

Your use of him in the preview shots was awesome as well. Props for the high degree of creativity and the excellent execution here.

Holy flippin' cow!  :o :o :o

He gets better and better...

I don't see any mention of his death in the Star Wars Databank... where did you get that info from, CC?

A PN on this could be very short or very, very long. It depends on where you want to pick up the story. I'd love to see what you can do with it.

That Eeth Koth is one of the most badass custom Jedi I have ever seen!

Sort of takes the whole concept of the blast shield helmet to the next level. :)

Maybe this is where Obi Wan gets that training technique?

Amazing. You do some great stuff, DD.

All of these are *very* good! You definitely have my hopes up for your PN.

Joe figures probably would give the best base for the head... good suggestion.

Lampreys looks like it might work, too.

From there I thought the body on the final version of the droid would probably borrow elements from the Clone Troopers' armor. Perhaps clone armor, but with droid joints, hands and feet?

Battle Droid meets Clone Trooper:

Anyone have any suggestions for putting this guy together?

You could sand down the hands so they look more like stalks -  like spider legs? Then again, how can you be an engineer without opposable thumbs? :P

This is so freakin' cool, though. I am *thoroughly* impressed with your level of sheer creativity. I really, *really* want one of these now. :)

For me, home is JD. There just isn't a better bunch of customizers and custom junkies out there. I have yet to find any other place that has the kind of thoughtful and constructive feedback people will give you here. I also think JD would be far more willing to cut the head off a snake trying to poison the atmosphere. :P

Finally, I really love how JD embraces PNs... not just my own, mind you, but the concept of the PN.

I go to RS from time to time, and I post my PN there when I update it (mainly b/c I posted Chapter 1 there, and I feel like I should finish what I start). I don't post otherwise, mostly b/c I find JD to be superior in terms of feedback and community.

I check in on GH's forums from time to time. But that's about it. I think GH is mostly really good folks, but I got almost no feedback the time or two I posted. It's just not as active.

For other (non-Star Wars) custom work I really enjoy joecustoms.com.

This isn't meant to bash any other site. I think the various communities all do us a service in giving us forums to display our work. I just think that, as a matter of personal taste, the differences are important to understand. The things I like about JD may be things an RS loyalist doesn't like. That's cool with me. :)

Is that 2-1B watching a commercial for TUMs?

Just kidding. This is *great* set work, CHEWIE. Did you slightly modify some of Owen's stuff there?

I hope the preview means Chapter 21's not too far away. Still, there are far more important things to tend to, and it sounds like you have your fair share of late.

Take care.

Again, a very nice nod that I very much appreciated.

Yet another example of why I look more and more (and more) to JD for all my online SW needs. :)

Thanks, Prof. :)

I have to echo CHEWIE here. All of these... just WOW. You've posted so much, I don't even know where to begin!

I wish I had just a few of these... I'm thinking of ways I could stage scenes for a PN left and right :)
