Title: Avatar assistance and questions thread!
Post by: krisvds on December 15, 2002, 04:10 PM: as you see, my avatar is now 60X60 ... I have an animated gif, and I can't reduce it size, so, why not allow it to have a MAX avatar like 65X65 ....

I know that you normaly cann change those settings,

Post by: Chris on December 16, 2002, 02:54 PM: The max size avatars are to be on our forums is 60x60. I feel that is the appropriate size and anything larger would shift the tables and make the forums less pleasing to the eye, let alone hard to read. Sorry.

Post by: Chris on January 24, 2003, 05:30 PM: All avatars on this forum are 60x60 or smaller. That includes ones on the jedidefender server and external ones. All avatars are resized to 60x60 when they are chosen in your profile menu. There is not really a standard avatar size, whatever the forum administrator decides. :)

My question is that accoriding to the properties listed it is currently 50x50 shouldn't that fit without resizing?

Post by: DSJ™ on March 13, 2003, 08:52 AM: I'm using Ulead PhotoImpact 7. I got an update from them awhile back & it installed an GIF Animator. I can pick 1 to all frames to open. Waynes Avatar is 36 frames. I tried 1 frame at a time with no luck then I found I could resize it by doing one frame & it would resize all of them. I used it on my Avatar too as it as to big.
It's a sweet Photo program & I have not used anything else so far. :) Also, the program was free. ;)

Post by: dustrho on May 9, 2003, 04:10 PM: When did our avatars change from 60x60 to 50x50 dimensions? I was just updating my profile, and it said my avatar was too big. So, I had to resize it down from the original 60x60 to 50x50.

Was this change intentional, or did something do it automatically? Just curious.

'Sup to you guys. I'll find something else to do while I'm locked out. I live to please ::)

Besides, my work here is done. I've found lots of other Ewok tolerators that can pick up the mantle if necessary. They just needed a little coaxing to show their true nature ;) Well, not really, but it's always nice to have an instigator around.

Nope. None whatsoever Chris! That's what we're here for! ;) Actually, the main JD bossman himself will probably move it into the permanently hosted avatar file shortly, and will probably update the new link for you himself - just as an FYI...

When i joined here on 7/12/04 and I did put my own avatar in my profile, it's works But when I'm back here tonight and I changed my own new Jedi Knight avatar, it showed "X" mark, over and over.

I try to change my own original avatar back But it showed red letters: "Personalized picture:"

I'm stuck to put my own original Yoda with saber avatar back.

Anyways, this resized version works (I have tried it), and I have also put in an underscore instead of a gap.

My Photobucket account is a bit erratic, so perhaps Dale could copy it across to another host for you?
