Saga Collection '06 / Re: TSC Variations and Errors Thread

Apparently there is a variation in the Darth Vader from the Hoth wave (I know, I know - it isn't even out yet and there is a variation!  ::)).

Vader can be seen in a "standing" pose or in a "lightsaber" pose.

Where were they found? Also, what country?

I've seen reports on the 'net from folks in Indiana and Washington, both reports were bought at Target.

Also, this AM I had an e-mail from a guy in Illinois who claims to have found them at a local Target as well, but he offered no pictures to support his claim.

That's enough for me to start thinking about looking for them...  ;)

edit:
more reports, this time from South Dakota and Oklahoma...  something is definitely afoot!

Now that we got these, anyone else thinking about picking up one of the Fetts?

Yes... and desperately trying think of reasons NOT to buy a 400% Fett.   :-[  :-\

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Fodder Alert!
« on: January 10, 2006, 11:02 PM »
has someone been doing some colisigiugting?    AHHH big words hurt my head.....(by the way how it "it" spelled..)

Is the correct answer "consolidating"?   ???

As in, "Has someone been doing some consolidating in this thread?"

If so, then the answer is "Yes, I did do some consolidating in here."

I'm a little out of touch on the process for the Hall of Fame - does just the top vote get in?  I thought there were a couple guys each year that entered the Hall.  ???

You need to get 75% of the possible votes to get in.

So, for example, this year you needed to get 390 (votes out of a possible 520) in order to get in...

RS is reporting the following will be repackaged -

- Anakin Jedi Starfighter
- Obi Wan Jedi Starfighter
- Droid Tri-Fighter
- Grievous Wheelbike

Now why would Hasbro do that?  Eh, who cares - I'll pass on them no matter what the reason.   :P

Here's to hoping it's finally Bert's year to shine.   :-\

No love for Bert... :'(

No love for Goose either, but finally the Hall opened it's doors for Sutter on his 13th try.

Here were the top ten vote getters:

Bruce Sutter      400  76.9%
Jim Rice             337  64.8%
Rich Gossage    336  64.6%
Andre Dawson  317  61.0%
Bert Blyleven     277  53.3%
Lee Smith          234  45.0%
Jack Morris        214  41.2%
Tommy John      154  29.6%
Steve Garvey    135  26.0%
Alan Trammell     92  17.7%

Rice got closer this year with 65% (he had about 60% last year), but he's going to have a hard time getting in next year because some big names are going to hit that 2006 ballot - Cal Ripken Jr, Tony Gwynn, Mark McGwire...

I don't plan on replacing them.

This is my thought too.

Sure, there will be a few titles that I will drop the cash on upgrading with Blu-Ray/HD-DVD (like, say a Prequel SE Trilogy set or UBER-hexology SW box set), but as long as the newer players can still play the older DVDs, they are fine with me.

I mean, I love new technology and everything, but the current DVD quality of "Legally Blonde" or "Sweet Home Alabama" is enough for me - no need to go re-buying a higher res/quality disc for every DVD in the house...  :P

I'm hoping to see some production from my team because I'm on the negative side of total games expected to be played.  Basically, I can play everyone every night for a while (except my centers, I'm actually too far ahead).

Me too...  I've been letting my squad lapse a bit and now I've got double digits below pace for D and G, and few below pace for C.

It'll be great when I finally get to pour it on and burn up those games and pile on some more points...  :P

Thanks!  It was quite a labor of love, not to mention a severe pocket book drain.

Well, let's see: I see about 10 rows of 14 cases = 140 cases @ a couple bucks each...

Yeah, I'd say it must have been a heck of a pocket book drain.   :o

Looks pretty impressive to see all those Kubricks together like that though!

Wow, that's a lot of stuff, Jesse!   :o

I can't but help wonder though, how much of it came to your collection via my house?  :P

Seriously, that's a lot of great pictures!  Very cool...  :)

Here's another nice ref pic for the wolfman Jedi:

I've toyed around with the idea of making a "movie" version of him to go along with the Foul Moudama (that Hasbro is making in the Geonosis Wave) and my custom Roron Corobb.

Yeah, that's tempting, Adam!  I haven't pursued any of the high-end carded Kuby's (Fett, Sandtrooper, Vader), and I still need an opener of the Droids Fett, Holo Leia, and Blonde Luke, so that auction would fill almost every last hole of mine.  Of course, it would likely mean getting divorced, so I think I better pass...  :P

Ditto - I still need 4 of those carded and could use the other 3 as "openers" as well, but nabbing that auction would likely mean sleeping on the couch in the garage for a looooong time, so I think I'll just pass on those too.   :P
