No way.

I think Ben said it best: there's just so much that fatigue is inevitiable.  I know this is kind of my theme but it's true.  And as I get older, my interests veer.  I think if I had a better paying job, my attitude might be different, but then maybe they wouldn't.

I for one am glad there are only seven new SW figs until some time this year or next.  A break is necessary for me to sustain enthusiasm.  At the same, other lines (also like Ben) such as ML or LOTR or Buffy or what have you are more interesting, but I'm no more able to be a completist anymore.  I just buy what I like now and don't worry about the short packs or rare stuff.

Tonight I found the Bespin wave at Wally World.  Still looking for the Dagobah guys.

I like the suit, and I like the trailer even better.  Great mood setter.  This one looks to be fantastic.

My cousin said today Hasbro is like the lover who keeps leaving you for a younger, flashier person, only to come back, for a while, before leaving again.   :P

I like the 2 pack Willow but she isn't different enough for me.  I thought I just want a Tara, but then the Tara I want apparently is $27, so why not get Tara and Willow for $30?  Or better yet not give those hosers who charge your card immediately any of money at all.

Spike?  SPIKE???  You mean I don't have to pay $100 for one any more?  They're all great.  I think I'll get the vampire on and swap heads with another to get a regular trench coat Spike, which there doesn't seem to be from here.

So so happy.

I saw an ad in the new Toyfare today for VOTC, featuring Ben and something like 'unbelievable articulation.'  I laughed out loud.  False advertising at its finest.

No repacks?  Ok.  Don't care what your core base thinks/wants?  Ok.  Don't want my money?  Ok.  Someone else does.

Yeah, Matt, excellent reporting.  Our man behind enemy lines.

Hasbro's present attitude is mystifying.  Clearly the VOTC/OTC all things vintage love fest is aimed directly at the nostalgia crowd, so why would they be so snarky about it?  Perhaps they're bored with their own product.   They have been doing it a long time, and nothing is new any more.  Gone are the POTJ days when the line was hanging on by a thread and our voice mattered.

The repacks leave one bored.  The resculpts do to a point.  The case packs do.  The action featues do.  Etc etc.

This is very eye catching.  I like how they incorporated the CW elements such as the big character pic on the bubble.  I like the duel in the helmet.  I like it's new and different.  I don't like it's orange, because we've been there, but it's lava, and we haven't been there, so.

The true test will be seeing the figs in them.

It's certainly unique.  Very flashy, very kid oriented.  I like the Vader looking over everything.  Boo action features.

I think he's in one shot, exactly.  It's been a while, so I'm not sure.  I worry too about the viability of the line next year, but I think it's reached SW status now, without all the gross overstock baggage SW comes with.  So it may still be appealing to retailers.

Sly looks a little... mmm, off, yeah.   I commented elsewhere how she looks like Zan from Farscape.  It's probably because (according to Adam at GH, I think) she was sculpted way back in 2002.

Action features: Boo, hiss.

I love her.  She's great.   :)  Maybe Hasbro will surprise me and pull a Dignitary type thing where the handmaiden comes in two flavors, Rabe and Padme.

And maybe the Cubs will win the Series.

All very good.  The wookie looks like he (she?) shares some parts with the Saga Bespin Chewie, but that's ok.  Sly looks like Zan from Farscape.   :)
