This appears to be an image of 6" figure prototypes for THE FORCE AWAKENS line. There are no names associated with the characters, but from left to right it appears to be:
-Kylo Ren ???
-Finn
-Rey
-BB-8
-Chewbacca

I think the figure on the far left is Captain Phasma (maybe).

I saw the Captain Phasma report. From all of the rumors that I've read, I think that Captain Phasma is actually the Chrome Stormtrooper Commander, rumored to be played by actress Gwendoline Christie

No way I'd pay $20 or more for BB8. Just a little under 3", maybe 2.75"? That's very small. To think that 4" version would be just over 2.5", if my math is correct. Of course, that's probably the size of Yoda (never measured him and don't own the 6" yet).
Since they are showing 5 figures and usually one wave of 6" has four figures, do you think BB8 will be a pack in? I'd be pleasantly surprised if that were the case.

It looks to me like BB-8 is most likely a pack-in with Rey.

It occurred to me that Chewie may be there for scale as the point of this pic seems to be aimed at size. That being said I believe some of Chewie is new and he is coming again.

The portrait on Chewbacca looks different from the 6" figure that's currently on the market. Definitely more of a neutral expression.

They look pretty good but I am going to refrain from purchasing them. I am moving all of the my focus to Hot Toys.

Look good to me... paint apps being non-existent I'm not really sure what to critique besides the sculpts, which I think look nice. Articulation looks about what you should get.
Kinda makes my hairs on my neck stand up a lil because it's signs 6" will continue to the new movies, and I question if they'll bother with 4". I'll be disappointed. All new movies to dip into for collector level 4" figures would bum me out if they only went 5 POA and 6". :-\ That's a fear always in my mind though, and if it happens it happens. I move on and enjoy other stuff.

I share some of that concern about the future of the 3.75" figure system. Especially since there are indications that Hasbro will NOT be offering figures in that scale for the upcoming Avengers film. News just came out that leads you to believe that Hasbro is offering 6" and 2.5" figures for that license. Granted, Star Wars has a very long history in the 3.75" figure scale. It would be a major departure if Hasbro abandoned that product line.

I think it's cool to see these just as proof that there will be figures cycled in dynamically to the line outside of the previous 6 films. I thought they might wait longer to roll these out but I guess Hasbro wants to capitalize across multiple lines, which makes sense.
They appear to be well sculpted but none of them seem particularly interesting. Even the Sith guy looks less than imposing.
I just hope this kind of sudden character infusion doesn't hold us back from getting 6" stuff like Bib Fortuna, Dengar, Zuckuss, etc sooner rather than (years) later. At this rate it's going to take a long time to get through just the key OT characters.

If 7+ years of hot active Prequel merchandise hell taught us anything, yes expect delays in your favourite background characters favour the new flavour of the hour they'll be hustling.

Hmmm
I'm a tiny bit skeptical because I ran a search on eBay for any leaks last night. Most of what came up were the SDCC exclusive First Order Stormtroopers and some Hot Wheels. But one item that came up was a custom Kylo Ren.
The guy who posted this on Twitter seems to think that it might be a 6" Black Series Kylo Ren.

Like 'scum mentioned - both Kylo and Finn seem to match up to the prototypes... might just be the real thing... or customs. no guarantees. :-\
If they are real, I guess that ups the odds we see a 6" TFA preview wave on Force Friday.

Yeah, still not sold on if those are the real deal or customs. Finn looks pretty good from the neck down but that face does not look right somehow. Almost like a Ken Doll...too smooth and generic. The Kylo shots are so close up that it looks a little crude, but maybe it comes off better at a distance.
I definitely think we will see the ones they showed off as prototypes come FF. That could be almost a wave itself, except they are coming 6 per now, so maybe they will double up on a few of them or BB8 gets his own box and the Stormtrooper is #6. There are at least 10-11 figures beyond that which have been strongly rumored or teased, so if they wanted to they could crank out another wave or two and have multiple waves on the shelf on 9/4. That's kind of what I'm hoping for anyway.

If it's cusrom, someone is pretty adept at sculpting and has an eye for detail.

Just saw the pics...nice, very nice. I am all in as expected. Good news on BB-8 too.
If the rumor is that we will see multiple waves come FF, hopefully we get a look at the rest tomorrow or soonish. Figure it will be the usual suspects like Poe, Phasma, etc but the Tie Pilot and Flametrooper could be awesome.

The specific nature of both Finn and Rey as Jakku versions leads you to conclude that there are more versions in the works. Finn in his First Order Stormtrooper armor seems very likely. As for Rey? Who knows.

I tore into this wave late last night before falling into a stupor. There were some surprises to me. You think you know what it going to appeal to you but sometimes in hand your opinions change.
Finn is very well done, good sculpt, good paint apps, but ultimately it is a pretty boring figure. Next to Chewie he seemed to draw the least interest last night. I shudder to think about them carrying this guy forward into later waves. The Stormtrooper would be a much better choice.
Chewie is about as expected. Was more exciting the first time around.
Kylo Ren is nice, paint apps around the visor seem to vary, but mine is ok. Unfortunately he has a wonky right foot that seems stuck downward. I'm glad in restrospect I got a couple of these so I can swap him out for a better version. The soft goods work well on mine, but he's not one of the more interesting figures to me somehow.
The FO Stormtrooper is cool, I like the design and all, and the two guns, but the plastic on certain parts of the armor feels cheap and flimsy to me. I don't know how to describe it exactly, but if you hold him in hand next to a regular Stormtrooper you will see the difference.
The unexpected star of the wave for me was Rey and BB8 though. I felt like this would be a boring figure beforehand but mine is really beautiful, I mean they dead nailed the paint apps on the face. It's a great effort. I just wish they had included her headscarf. BB-8 came out very well too, at least IMO. Yeah they could have tweaked a few things with the paint wash and whatnot, but I like the final product. Sturdier than I expected.
All in all, a very solid first wave, the next one looks even better. Hope we get back to the non-TFA figs before too too long though.

The way the lightsaber blade is done is odd, too. Different type of plastic use than the others and all three blades look to be one piece of plastic (I have yet to open it).

I saw all of these while on my toy run yesterday morning with the exception of the Stormtrooper. It seems like that one, followed by the Rey/BB-8 combo, were the fastest sellers. I saw Finn, Kylo Ren, and Chewie at all three locations I visited.
Looking at the announced lineup, plus the list of exclusives that's coming out, it looks like Hasbro is really going all in with the Black Series 6" for this year. It all looks great, but it sure is going to get pricey.

Stang. I Was hoping the Elite figures would match up well with these, so we could pick and choose between them, but the Elite figures are more like a 7" line vs. 6" Black Series. Captain Phasma dwarfs black series Stormtrooper. Reminds me a lot of the Marvel Select vs. Legends sizes - just noticable enough not to work. I'm hooked on the elite figs despite the similar size. The Stormtrooper, for example, looks a thousand times better in Die Cast and there's tons more atriculation than I expected.

Yep. Your Marvel Select/Legends analogy is pretty close. It sounds like they purposely designed them to a 6.5" = 6 foot scale so they would be just different enough from the Hasbro stuff.

Per this Flyguy Instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/BGRtZYUgei1/), it looks like there's a running change on Rey & BB-8. The new version includes the Skywalker lightsaber. I'm not sure if I'm actively going to pursue this one, since the K-Mart exclusive version also included the lightsaber.

So, I received a wave 1 case from Ent Earth yesterday and it too has the Rey with lightsaber.

So for 6 inch (basic) Rey releases, we have:
- Original Force Friday edition with inaccurate BB-8
- Revision with retouched paintjob and accurate BB-8
- Revision 2, same as Revision 1 but with a lightsaber
The original already goes for like $30-40 on the secondary market, maybe the new revision will bump the first in price too. Then I can retire off of them in a few years. :P

And a 4th if you count the KMart Snowjob edition of Rey. And they all have the same outfit instead of giving her the resistance outfit from the end of the movie on at least one of these. ::)
