Peter is the Droid Master!

I was bored last night so took about an hour, and took quick shots of each individual piece, and uploaded to my Photobucket account. The only piece missing is the elusive white Shopkeeper/Vendor head.

A huge shout out to Pete for helping out with these. Our annual passes expired on Saturday, and my wife and I decided not to renew with all the construction going on at the Parks right now.
I'm glad Pete was able to swoop in and save the day :)

3

 1. ANH Darth Vader
 2. ANH Chewbacca
 3. ANH C-3PO
 4. Luke Skywalker Tatooine Farmboy
 5. Bosskk
 6. Lando Calrissian Bespin
 7. Princess Leia Organa Tantive IV
 8. ANH Obi-Wan Kenobi
 9. TPM Obi-Wan Kenobi
10. TIE Fighter Pilot

I'd want Vader in his original robes and crooked helmet. Chewbacca with slicked back hair not the poofy ROTJ look. 3PO should look worn, not shiny. Luke should have his poncho, goggles, rifle, Stormtrooper belt, blaster and com link. Bosskk to go along with Fett. Bespin Lando because it's how we first meet him. Tantive Leia with sporting blaster, removable hood, Stormtrooper blaster. ANH Kenobi to finish the OT crew. TPM Kenobi to duel with Maul. TIE Pilot for an army builder like the Stormtrooper and to compliment X-Wing Luke.

I agree that kids DO like the PT more than OT. Working in a Toy Department for 5 years now, I've seen more than my share of kids and parents looking for or saking for particular characters.
I do get the occasional "Where's Luke?", but it's mostly asking for Clones, Mace or Yoda (w/ lightsaber)...
Hell, today I had a Mom ask why I didn't have any JAR JAR BINKS figures! I am NOT making that up to be a smartass either. She was a little pissed, and asked if those Collector guys bought them all up already this morning. I politely explained that he hasn't been out since ROTS 3 years ago, but she could probably get him cheap on eBay.
My own kids (14 & 12), prefer the PT even though they were born watching the OT, until they were 5 & 3. Once TPM came out, they were hooked, and think the OT is "boring" now....except for the saber duels that is.

Other than perhaps an opening door and a "shattering window" or something, you're probably right.  I wish they'd outsource the rights to dioramas or whatnot to a company like Sideshow.   :-\

I think he meant the cat had no play value....the palpys office playset is what's gonna get kids age 5-11 back into action figures and off the XBox and youtube....you know it, I know it, heck, even that cat knows it!

I also can't see parents shelling out more that $99 on a toy.  You have to remember that this is still a toy for the kiddies and I'd be damned if I spent $150 on a toy for my kid.

I've seen this mentioned on several forums, and I can tell you, there are plenty of parents that have no problem dropping over $100 on a toy around Christmas. Target had "Butterscotch" the pony for $250, and my store sold at least 30 by Christmas. After Christmas we had 4-5 left, that eventually made it to Clearance, but even those sold at 50% off (still $125).

....not to mention the $250 (or more on eBay) people are STILL spending on Nintendo Wii.....plus the extra $40 for each Wii-mote, $20 for an extra nunchuck, and $40-50 per game.

Don't underestimate the spending power of an adult when it comes to high dollar items. Just because you wouldn't drop that kinda cash, doesn't mean some other Mom or Dad wouldn't.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Droid Factory Build A Figure
« on: December 16, 2007, 11:51 PM »
I don't think every figure in a wave will have a piece.

I think 1 figure per wave (5 waves of 6 figures =30 figures), will include 1 piece of droid for a total of 5 pieces to build the figure.

Just like the McQs were a sub-line mixed in with basic TAC, I think BAF will have a stripe near the bottom (like McQuarrie's sig), that says "Droid Build a Figure!"

I thinking a correct scale Grievous....since we've been asking and it'll lead up to the CWs line.

The Imperial Shuttle DPCI turned up about 6 1/2 months before the Shuttle actually came out. The number was spotted around mid-May (the 14th actually, when I reported it to RS) So, if that's roughly the same time frame for this, we may see it by mid-June or early July.

Probably why he's always so pissy. Even before the lightning tore him up, he wasn't an "attractive" man. Kinda birdlike and pompous....and that hair, don't get me started. Getting lightly toasted was the best thing to happen to that koot!

OT: He'll probably be a pack-in with the game just to piss me off, since I don't own a game system, except for my beat up old SNES. (I'm refering to the Secret Apprentice here)

If it IS a Target exclusive, then they'll probably be hush hush about it. If it's a general release item, they may be a little more forthcoming since word is out. I'm sure they'll say "Details at Toy Fair, you all will be pleasantly surprised.".....and then, we won't.  :'(

My guess on the size and "play" features.

It'll measure around 22" long and be about 8" wide, not counting the legs of course. There will be a canopy that lifts and holds 1 Driver (included). The body will be hinged just above each rear leg and clip in the middle on the top. There will be room to sit 3 Clones on each "bench" on either side. The guns on either side of the cockpit and chin guns will "ball rotate". The main cannon on top will rotate 360, and fire a projectile. There will be a seat that holds the AT-TE Tank Gunner figure (also included). The legs will be articulated at the "hip" and "knee" joints. There will be 2 more "ball rotating" guns on the rear. No sound effects, and the driver will look like the gunner without the pauldron, and have a farout paint scheme we'll most likely hope they rerelease as a "Legends" figure because it's so GD cool.

That's just my guess though....
