....although it irks me that they don't actually refer to him by name on the package.

I wonder if it's not to save on trademarking.

Target Geonosis Spec ops/Geonosian two pack for $7.49...with tax, almost $8. I knew stashing it at when it was marked 30% off was a wise move...I mean, I'm kidding. That would be wrong.  :-X

Anyway, check your stores.

Yay, the Jump Trooper and Evo Trooper didn't do much for me the first two times. There's something too EU video-gamey about them (those shoulder pads for one), and Evo's elbow suck for two handed weapons poses. Maybe the other trooper is the one they pulled from last year, semi-transparent stormtrooper.

Compare that to the image we've seen and it looks like the head might be a little underscaled.

No, not underscaled...Hasbro would say they are just using "heroic proportions".  :P

Going by the Po Nudo figure, prequel Aqualish have completely different hands than either set Ponda has, two big fingers and a thumb.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Could Droid Factory Survive....

Troopers do get problematic. That Terminator endoskeleton-looking EU BAD goes for good money on ebay. Likewise the Darktrooper do-over.

The idea of a "create your own character" has merit. Swappable parts to make Sith, Jedi or bounty hunters (or Senator..ha-ha!). That would be neat. Pack the alien/human head and hands together like the astromech head and middle foot. Maybe the arms would include gloved hands for another option.

Only clone wars figure I can find that was released in 2011 is season 3 Obi-Wan.

Most recent vintage I can find are  leftovers of the AOTC wave, and those are uncommon (I never saw Zam Wessel at all), usually Super Battle Droid or Obi-Wan.

I can't even catch a break on clearance. Hit three Targets, no marked down deluxe...which never seemed to sell before...but *poof* gone at a mere 30% off.

On a seperate note, has anyone found the season 3 Ahsoka figure nearly impossible to find?!?!

I found it back in march, but didn't like the paint job on the one I saw. "I'll get a better one when I see them again"

Yeah, right...3 months later...never saw another one. I hate this hobby sometimes, and I'm not even a completist.

I don't care about it much myself. The mini carded mouse droid and Salacious Crumb are amusing, but that's all. I'll get the rebel if he appears in stores.

They went the extra mile on Ponda's accessories. But skimped a bit on the Rebel's gear. No biggie, though.

Never knew or realized Ponda's hooved hands had fingers. He'll be a good figure to buy for his extra hands, if you have some figures missing hands...ha...

Ponda's shoulders are uneven looking due to the swappable feature. Not horribly so to me, though.

Get as many as possible to resale to suckers down the road. Fund your collecting for a year!  ;)

Nice...missed opportunity for scene specifit Han and a "Taun-Taun wrangler", though. Not that I was expecting either one.

And wasn't Han's coat purple...uh...teal...black er...nice in the film. Nice looking coat.  ;)

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Mandalorian Gunship?
« on: July 4, 2011, 08:40 PM »
Hasbro hasn't invented any midsized Star Wars vehicles in a long time. Have they? Even the Jedi repaints were established in other media, right? (I'm no expert.)

Some folks at other boards point a Mandalorian shuttle and fighter seen on the cartoon. They'd have to be scaled down quite a bit.

Maybe it'll be the droid gunship repainted. Ha! Wouldn't that be lame.

Some of you guys are  very optimistic. I'd say the days of Ewok 2-packs are over.  :(
