I think the "playset" feature is to give it more playability for kids. It is in the Clone Wars line which is geared towards kids afterall.

Would you like to spend extra on army builders just to put them on a vintage card?
I think that's all the line is good for....plus the occaisional "main" character that sold well in the past. I'm on the lookout for a couple more snowtroopers and will get a couple more Space Troopers if I see them.

Great review Jesse. The only real gripe I have with this figure is that he did not come with a softgoods cape. I think that would've been a nice homage to the Vintage Jedi Luke...which is what this line is supposed to be about.

The more I watch this show the less I like it. With Qui Gonn showing up as a ghost here it completely ruins the end of ROTS. Why was Obi-Wan surprised to hear Qui Gonn is able to communicate with the living when he's already talked with him?!
For that matter, why is Qui Gonn asking questions about how Anakin was trained? We're supposed to believe he's been watching all along since he tried to stop him from killing the Sandpeople in AOTC.

I finally got both sets and I like them. More varied pilots for my Alliance hangar "diorama". I'm debating on wether or not to replace a couple of TIE fighter pilots with these two or just display them in front of a TIE on the shelf.

That's the same issue with the Shuttle Tyderium and it's not a big deal.

High school and college? I was living in Alaska when these came out and been in the Air Force for 7 years already! Damn I feel old.

I doubt anyone in the Star Wars universe actually dies. If they ever do an episode 7, we'll find that The Emperor, Vader, all those pilots, ewoks and construction workers all survived as well.
