Nice list, evenflow. I really like the IJ series. But the figures, which Im very thrilled to hear will be made, MUST be 3.75" scale and include original trilogy characters for me to be as crazy about this line as I think Im gonna be. 8)

For figures, I'd love to see Sallah w/Fez hat, Nepal Thug, Indy w/out coat, Indy Arab Disguise, Indy German Disguise, German DAK Trooper, German Officer, Freighter Captain, German U-Boat Captain/Crewman, German Camera Crew, Arab Marion smacks with the pan, White robed, black wrap/masked Arab thug (since there were so many), German Gestapo Agent (Cairo), etc., etc.
And that's just Raiders... I don't know if Indy will have that kind of life though, like Star Wars, but I'd dig seeing some figure greatness really from all 4 films. But 1 and 3 will be my biggies for wanting the most figures, without a doubt.
Looks like possibly removable headgear on the Monkey Man and Swordsman too... Definite gaps in the swordsman's turban anyway. Very cool, and look fantastic with at the very least decent articulation.

I was really happy to see Sallah in the case after he wasn't in the presentation.
I'd also like to see Toht and Belloq in his desert outfit rather than the robes. A nameless German with motorcycle would be cool as well. And seriously, who doesn't want a new map room playset? The vehicles and such would be fun to see but I probably won't be buying them.
Although Short Round and Willie would be cool from ToD I'm kind of cool on that film. I guess Ram would be a good character, he could come with beating heart accessory.
I definitely want to see Dr. Henry Jones from TLC and I'd even buy a motorcycle with sidecar. Another Sallah would be neat as would a River Phoenix young Indy. Throw in Elsa and Walter Donovan (who doesn't want another Julian Glover action figure!) and I'd have about everything I wanted. Oh, and a horse! I want a horse for Indy.

Sallah wore the Fez hat in Last Crusade, not Raiders.

Those gaps seemed kind of strange to me, too, until I was looking through screencaps and saw this:

Me too, on both. I guess Belloq in his "Jewish ritual" outfit is a more-interesting figure than Belloq in his white shirt and jacket.
Although Short Round and Willie would be cool from ToD I'm kind of cool on that film.

He's not my favorite, but I think Mola Ram would make for a really cool-looking action figure.

I'm very happy that we're gettting these figs, however, I alwys wanted a Marion in her Nepal bartender outfit.

I also think that Belloq in his Jungle Attire with the pith helmet would be very, very fun. Too bad we won't get many of these ideas...
Oh, and the craziest figure in the world would be the Old Knight from Last Crusade!

Nah, that guy was working on some scaffolding during the desert truck chase in Raiders, falls onto the truck for a moment. Indy and a Nazi share a laugh about it, and then Indy knocks him out of the truck. Funny little scene.

No, not okay. >:( I'm planning on using my 2004 Saga Admiral Ozzel figure to make a custom Hitler action figure, though.

Ah, ok... I know the guy now from the scaffolding. The Fez thing I just must've brainfarted on since he's in busy arab streets when he's sporting the Fez. I must've just blended that in with the Cairo sequences before the dig. Oh well, I'll still take him.
He still has a dumb hat on too, you must admit, so it's an easy mistake I think.
No Hitler but customs are ok? I suppose I have an extra Ozzel somewhere. ::)
Still, does that mean the SS guy from TLC is ok, or Toht since he's a Gestapo agent?
Regular DAK guys and other Germans like the Mechanic and the flying wing Pilot or U-Boat commander would be just generic German military, but the clear Nazi Party members maybe aren't as likely as figures. Toht would be neat since he was important and had an original figure and all, but is that kind of a figure ok in today's world? I wonder...
I'm really all about obscurity in the IJ line though, but I don't hold out much hope for it...

I hadn't seen Temple of Doom for years so I didn't remember much from it. So I watched it yesterday to get ideas for a second wave:

If the line lasts long enough to give us a second wave for each of the four movies, here's what I'd like to see:
Wave 5: Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Indy in German Soldier Disguise
- Marion Ravenwood in White Dress
- Toht
- German Mechanic
- Belloq in slacks and white shirt from the scenes in Cairo
- Colonel Dietrich
- Satipo
- Captain Katanga
I've chosen this mix for a couple of different reasons. The first five figures help finish off the vintage Kenner line being remade. I think it would be nice to have Colonel Dietrich only because he was the third part of the trio of bad-guys from the film and he was one of the three who opened the Ark. The other two figures just help flesh out some other regular/memorable characters from the film. They could be easily replaced with characters like Marcus Brody, Major Eaton or Jock.
Wave 6: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
- Marion Ravenwood
- Professor Henry "Indiana" Jones (pics have surfaced of Indy riding on the back of Mutt's motorcycle in a suit)
- Mac
- US Army Soldier

I do think that there will be a second wave of KotCS figures, we'll probably see them on display at SDCC and they will probably be scheduled for release around the time that the fourth Indy movie comes out on DVD. I'm sure I'll have a few more figure ideas after I've seen the movie, but for now, even just based on the teaser trailer & photos, those are four figures I definitely hope they make.
Wave 7: The Last Crusade

I had a hard time fleshing out this wave to have eight figures. I'm really surprised that they didn't put Donovan and Marcus in the third wave - I guess old men in suits aren't that exciting. I chose the last two figures because it would be nice to have some figures to put with the Young Indy figure, but if Hasbro wanted to only do a wave of six figures, those two could be dropped.
Wave 8: Temple of Doom
- Indy in Tuxedo
- Lao Che
- Kao Kan
- Willie Scott in Performance Gown
- Chattar Lal
- Pankot Maharaja Zalin Singh
- Captain Blumburtt

I really would like to see them make at least four figures from the sequence in Club Obi-Wan. If the Wave 4 Willie Scott figure is her in the red dress from the opening of the movie then the Willie Scott figure should be her in the pants and shirt from Indy's tux since he has a lot of scenes in that outfit. I think a nice deluxe figure would be Willie in the sacrificial gown and cage, so that's why I chose the tux shirt/pants outfit instead. Since for RotLA & LC we have German Soldiers to army build, for KotCS we got Russian Guards and already for ToD we're going to get Temple Thugs, it would be great if we could get a British Soldier army-builder. The Maharaja seems like a no-brainer to me too.
Deluxe Figures:

That's about all that comes to mind right now. I want to re-watch the movies before I go see the fourth one, so I'm sure I'll have more ideas after those viewings.

I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing another motorcycle w/ the sidecar at some point for Indy and his dad to ride in. The current motorcycle that is out now has a peg hold for what appears to be a side car to latch onto.

Well - besides the Elephants, the cars in the chase scene and the airplane, the Temple of Doom is pretty light on vehicles in comparison to RotLA and LC.
I would think an Elephant for Hasbro would be a no-brainer since both Willie and Indy rode one so some collectors might be compelled to get two.
Now that I think about it, a baby elephant w/Short Round might make for a pretty cool deluxe figure if they could fit it in the packaging.

I could see Hasbro having a hard time selling an Elephant toy. You can't really have an exciting box design, such as artwork of the toy in a chase scene. Cool action features can be had, such as removable saddle/harness (not sure if they were used), flexible/articulated trunk, and stomping action so I guess there is hope. After getting some figures, I thought an elephant would be really cool so I posted the idea in the Vehicles thread. After an Elephant and a Tank I'd be more than happy if Hasbro ended the Indy line.

OK, it's April 2011 and we're all getting ready for Indy 5 (yay or boo, depending on your point of view). Hasbro has decided to crank out one wave of figures for each of the previous movies to go along with the one Indy 5 wave. Who would you select, knowing this might be the end of Indy figures forever? (it's like the JD Wishlists, but with 6 instead of 10!)
My line-up looks like this...

Yes, I picked at least one Indy figure in each wave because you know Hasbro's going to have at LEAST one Indy in each wave. ;) I also compromised a bit - I'd rather have Indy in a suit from RotLA, but I'll settle for the KotCS version.

I'm pretty happy with your lists Jeff. Really, truly only worried about them rounding out the vintage line, so Toht, Marion dress, German Indy, Belloq white suit and German Mechanic are all I'm truly after. Beyond that it truly would be gravy.

I'm good with Jeff's list as well, that would cover a lot (if not all) of what I was hoping for from the Indy line. Hopefully we'll see a return in the future, and things will be handled a little bit better. As long as Hasbro realizes that kids' interest is likely not going to be much higher with this potential sequel as it was for KOTCS. This is even more of a "collector driven" line than Star Wars.
