Go ahead and post a link, I think we can let it slide (unless I'm told otherwise) this time around.  There's really no other way to get these that I'm aware of...  Unless Robby.jp who sells a number of import things to US folks is able to get these too?

Okedokee,
Hot Toys AVP snap kits - Alien vs Predator
He's down to about 3 of them as of this post, but I recommend sending him an e-mail.  He was very responsive to me and I'm pretty sure he has more than he lists in his auction (I think this is his second listing of these figures).

Can anyone also list a breakdown of the waves and who is in them?

This is from his eBay auction:
Series 1

Series 2

Gregor, thanks for visiting the site!  Glad you liked wha you saw.  I have a 12" male pants pattern around somewhere, which I may be able to scan in and send you -- do keep me posted on your Leon custom.  I'd be glad to help out in whatever way I can.

Thanks Finds!  I ordered some clothing and accessories from www.ToySoldierBrigade.com (I think you gave me that link a while ago, if so, thanks a lot, that guy is great!).  I need to make the ammo harness that he wears, I'm going to try to pick up some fake leather today at the fabric store, so hopefully that will turn out alright.  I'm pretty sure I'll need to ask you for some tips on this custom...  :P

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: SA Bossk/Trandoshan Merc ?

I think it should work alright.  The good think about Bossk is that you can extend the limbs to make him taller since his flightsuit is a normal sized, "human" flightsuit.
Also, it's better that you're using the PotF2 Bossk because the Saga Bossk has awkwardly positioned ankles.  PotF2 has a more neutral stance.

I have not done this, but I think it's a good idea and I might have to try it now  ;).  Keep us informed with how yours comes out!

I don't want to post a direct link, but if you search for "hot toys AVP snap kits" and look under the eBay stores, you'll find a guy that has some series 1 and some series 2 for $8 a piece plus shipping.  He's great with communication and he ships very quickly.

I sent it to the Greorbiotch tag.
Awesome, thanks, I'll sign on later and accept.  8)

I'm actually not sure, does the Leia use the same helmet or did they make a different one for her?

I'm not sure, I would imagine they would give her a smaller helmet because she was significantly smaller than Luke.  I never got the Endor Leia on Speederbike set, so I have no idea.  :-\  If anybody knows, I would appreciate it if they let me know.  It might be worth tracking an extra Endor Leia down just for the helmet.

I really like the stealth dropship.  The cannon on top is a great idea.  As usual the greeblie placement is excellent  8)

The Stealth Armor Scorch looks awesome as well.  Nice balance of crisp paint apps and weathering.  The only thing that I would change would be to give him articulated knees.  Still, it is an excellent repaint.

Wow, words fail me.  You did an incredible job with both Chewbacca and Han Solo!  I absolutely love the ML style Chewie.  He looks absolutely incredible.  I'm also surprised how good the Aragorn head works as Han Solo.  Keep up the superb work man, I am completely blown away.   :o

Thanks guys  8)

Phruby - I made the Microman Master Chief, but I know what you mean.  It feels like it's been ages since I've knocked out a Star Wars Microman.  I've got tons of base figures now, so I'll try to get working on one.  I can't wait to see how your Scorch comes out, that'll probably be a lot easier than dremelling full figures.

Ryan - Thanks man!  I appreciate your comments  :).  I think you're right about "constabulatory".  My brain gets confused (I blame being a Canadian raised in the States since 1990  ;)  :P).
I would use the Endor Leia, but I was able to get the Hasbro Endor Luke for like $8 last year in anticipation of the Sideshow Luke and I haven't seen a loose/complete Endor Leia (without her speeder bike, the shipping kills the price if they include the speeder bike).

Ryan, what Gamertag did you send the friend request to?  I'll check and see if I received it.  My old name was "Gregorbian" but my new name is "Gregorbiotch" because my old name was under my friend's account and it expired.

Thanks for the info Jesse.  Now I have another question.  Anyone know how these compare to the Takara Microman figures that came out last year?

I passed on the Predator figures last year and I'm kind of kicking myself now but if these are better than the Takara stuff maybe I'll jump on these.

   E...

Jesse pretty much said it all.  I have both the Microman and the Takara Predators and Aliens figures and they are both awesome.

The Microman figures have that distinctive Microman Style, but they are sturdier and they do come with a ton of accessories.  They pose a little bit better because their lims are slightly thinner and therefore there is more room for them to move.

The Takara figures look more "realistic" and are more accurately proportioned.  They come with less accessories, but they still come with very decent accessories (spears, throwing blades, gauntlet-blades, shoulder cannons, animal skull necklace, shin sheath with knife).

I recommend buying both if you can.  If you want more "realistic" figures, then buy the Takara ones.  If you want cheaper ones, buy the Takara ones (there is an eBay seller selling them for $8 a piece, I and Fritzkrieg have bought from him and he was a very good seller).  If you like the Microman style, want more accessories, and want a sturdier figure, then buy the Microman figures.

Hope this helps!

Nice Baron Soontir Fel figure.  The only thing that I don't like about it is the Saga TIE Pilot arms, I never liked them.  Of course, that's hasbro's fault.

Checking through your customs page, I love the 12" Zuckuss (on homeworld) upgrade and the female Gand figure.  They are excellent!
I'm kinda getting into 1/6th scale customizing (those hasbro upgrades that I did a while ago were a lot of fun).  I am going to make a 12" Leon the Professional, so I might need to ask you for some tips since you are the Goddess of Softgoods.   ;)

Thanks Rolla, and I love your grading system  ;D

EDIT:
Luke isn't really a custom, but I don't really post in other threads...

Here is my "Endor" Sideshow Luke

Han and Scout used upgraded to super-articulated bodies and Sideshow Luke received Hasbro's Luke on Speeder Bike Poncho and helmet.  The helmet is a bit too big, but it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would (considering how large Hasbro's Luke's head is)

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Soft Goods patterns.
« on: May 17, 2006, 10:09 PM »
I've been wanting to make small softgoods clothing for a while, but I have no idea how to sew.  I want to make pants for a Microman Leon "the Professional", and I would also need to make a small trenchcoat for him.
If anybody has any tips, please let me know too!

I think Commando Customs' store will have softgood stuff right?

Cool use of the Clone Pilot head.  I was never a big fan of the open-face mask of the Clone Pilot, but I think it looks alright on the Biker Scout body.  It makes sense for a lightly armored Scout to have an open face mask.
The weathering is a little too heavy for me, but I think it still looks good.
