what are your thoughts on the Deep Dive?  I have yet to seem him and I am on the fence about him even when I do see him - but I am leaning towards "yes".

Also, I could have swore I heard that War Machine's head is swivel and not a ball joint - can anyone confirm either way?  If its swivel its not a deal breaker of course - the figure is awesome looking.  I just want to know.   thanks in advance.

yakface asked a question in the QnA about the amount of figures produced from this wave but I am blocked from their site at work.  Can anyone give me the goods on that answer?  I am hoping it isn't bad news because my TRU sucks and it would be less likely for me to ever see them.

meh - I can't compare Tessek, a character that was serving as the Hutt's accountant, to a Bounty Hunter or any generic trooper/army builder type figure.  What more could anyone want of a figure like Tessek?  To sit down at a desk so he could get some work done for the big slug all the while plotting his demise?

I realize that he was just an example but to me any bounty hunter type figure should have the same articulation of Fett/Clone Troopers - it is just natural to bring Dengar up to par with the rest of his BH buddies.

like Jesse said though, to each his own.  The one thing I will say about the Dengar figure that I am not liking so much from what I have seen so far is the head sculpt.  I like the scowl/facial scar/sorisis look n the Saga figure.  I don't hate it - I just kinda like the other better.

I like the idea of the 6" Monger displayed with these - I may have to nab one of those.

I got the opening **** pit version today - thats the one you want to go with - he is the SA version.  The other Iron Monger from that line has some stupid sqeeze leg kid feature - mine didn't work and he is going back to the store.  Anyway, I grabbed him at Target - where these toys (Iron Man 1 figures) are on clearance now for around $5.50.

wow thanks for that!  initially, to me, getting this thing loose was not really a big deal - but I really do like how it looks MOC - I'll likely keep it that way.

Yeah, I am very frugal in my collecting since I buy so much (I collect SW, GI Joe, and Marvel all in 3 3/4 scale - used to do IJ too) - so I gotta watch out for overlapping releases of figures and I don't open most anything until months after I get it and keep all my receipts - its hectic - but its how I role.

For this line I am watching out for those IM2 exclusive whatever light up base things that Target is going to have.  IIRC the models in wave 1 (implying the possibility for further waves?) as shown on the TF slide were Mark IV, VI, and Warmachine.  So, while I am not certain how different, or if I want Mark IV, or VI, Warmachine may very well be a duplicate - so I am not certain if I will get/keep a single card release.

My 6 1/2 year old son is pretty geeked about - but then again he isn't the average kid.  I pretty much shell out the $$$ for anything SW related, so, to him, me buying this is a given (though I am not going to drop any money on this thing til I see a video of it in action).

we never grabbed the Hailfire, and my SW collection is all about play, every toy I buy is for my son (i relive my childhood through him).  I think some collectors might vomit if I showed off what we got going on in our house.  I am thinking I will be taking some pictures of the chaos soon and post it all in the collectors section.

back on point - since this is all for my son - I could see him really digging this thing if it is what I am expecting it to be.

also, just curious, is the Clone in this pack from CW or is it a "realistic" version?  Not a deal breaker - I would just prefer a non CW one.

The Bullpen / Iron Man 2

I picked some of these up from TRU last night for $6.99.  So far I nabbed the following:

Crimson Dynamo
Mark I
Mark II
Mark III
Iron Monger (not sure if I am keeping due to size)
Power Assault Armor Iron Man
Hypersonic Armor Iron Man

I didn't see War Machine or Deep Dive (on the fence with that one) - someone beat me to it.  I left a bunch of the Stealth, Classic Armor, and Original Iron Man hanging.

I recall hearing about coupons packed in with these figures (I haven't opened any of mine yet  - and don't plan on it for some time) - iirc they sounded similar to how the clone cash worked.  Anyone have anymore info on this?

pass here probably - I don't imagine this to be cheap and I just bought these characters not too long ago.  Zuckuss does look nice but not enough for me to bite at him again.

grabbed Aayla and Hondo today from WM.  Not sure if I will be keeping them or not - I wanted to tke them home and do some comparing since I am nto really a CW collector - but that Aayla looks darn good, and Hondo could potentially be a good Jabba filler goon character with his CW backstory.

I will say I am pretty impressed on how these things are starting to meld, imo, both CW and realistic style pretty close together.

so, while I cannot see the comparison shot posted above at work, and you guys are saying this Owen does indeed appear to have an all new sculpt, do you think Hasbro is intending to release him on his own individual vintage card?  repainted of course.

since I don't have a Hailfire yet I am mildy interested in this so far.  I need to see it in action though before I would buy it.  Are there any videos floating around with this in action yet?

The LUke really grew on me...  Ankles were a nice surprise, and the ball-jointed hips are going to do well on that figure.

awesome!  I didn't even realize until I read this post that he does indeed have ankles now - I went back and looked.  Aesome - he went from a "probably not" to a "definitely" right there!

On a different note - I have read both here and on other sites that people are interested in army building Dacks, I think I am missing the intent here.  is he that generic looking that he passes as  a non-specific pilot?  I guess it is just hard for me to take a figure with a somewhat significant name and roll and turn him into an army builder (plus I don't really army build).
