Is this the best 3 3/4" Vader ever made?

Tunghori has these now.

Even with lingering questions about the lightsaber hilt and the skirt and codpiece, and despite the fact that it's an Episode III version of the character, I'm gonna go ahead and say this is indeed the greatest Darth Vader figure OF ALL TIMES!

Today I look at the Ree Yees pics on JTA site, it is clearly the best sculpt:
cause his hands are not so much smaller than his head.

Only missing in this version: the silver belt buckle sculpt
and the two colours boot deco from 1983 vintage interpretation.

Wow, Vader looks amazing. May have to reconsider him.

Vader looks impressive.  Most impressive.  Definitely a step up from the previous ROTS version of Vader.

As for Ree Yees?  The head sculpt looks good.  But the hands relative to the forearms & sleeves just look.... off.  Probably because they look like they would never fit through those sleeves.  As for the comparison shots with the POTF2 version?  On one hand, I think it shows just how good some of those late wave POTF2 sculpts actually were. But the articulation on this new Ree Yees looks pretty awesome.

That is a damn posable vader.

I'm a little more into him now as well.  I'm curious what of Wave 5 Tunghori has, as I only saw Wedge (and Dak to a lesser wave 5 extent).

I'm going to nab a few more guys from Amazon I think, Vader included.  Free shipping makes it even.

There is a website called Jedi Temple Archives and they have a bunch of pictures and a review of the new Vader up this morning. (Link)

I think EE expedited their order.

The minute I saw pics of Ree-Yees, I was giggling like a little schoolgirl.

It may be nice, but it has a fatal flaw apparently.

Ouch! That makes the Snowtrooper Commander's issue with the hands look like child's play  :o It definitely looks like Hasbro's quality control has become one with the Force. Choked by the dianoga in the garbage dispenser. Thrown down the shaft like Palps. Eaten by a Rancor like that little Gam.... I'll stop already  ;D

But this is equally annoying: "The codpiece has returned, meaning if you aren't careful it can stick up and he'll be quite happy to see you." Imagine that with his head off....

Guess the go-to Vader is still the VC93, then?

There have been other Vader's that the head popped off.  I'm going to wait till I get one myself to see if it's a wave-wide issue or just one here and there.  I have a Snowtrooper Cmdr that the hand stays on pretty good...  It's maybe not every figure, so we'll see.

The Cod Piece I'm happy to see is back to being separate.  It looks better that way.

I actually am a little miffed at how they did the cape chain if anything bothers me with this one.  I guess everyone's different in what annoys them.

A quick video on the frailty of the figure. Again, great figure but a bad toy.
