Good game Rob - I thought for sure you were going to take it after that Celek TD last night.  68 to 65 is brutal.

Dressel - this is what, the fifth week at #1?  You going to put me in your top 6 yet?   ;D

I'm still curious to see what yours look like.  Do both of yours look like the strong purple in the picture I posted?  When I was younger, I thought I had the purple one because it's not a strong royal blue - more of a blue/violet.  Then I got the true purple one and was stunned at the color difference.  There's no way it's fabric color wear, and pretty much everything I've read says that color degredation is tied to plastics not fabric.

JV - thanks for the pics on Klaatu.  That is a really difficult color variation to spot.  Looks almost easier to spot the difference in green skin color - at least in the photo.

Ouch, didn't realize you were so anti Packers.

Much more pro-Bucs than Anti-Packers.

Ah, in that case congrats on the win.   ;)  It's always nice to see your team take the game back in the back half.

Per the Jersies, I have to agree with Scott on the Bucs retro uniforms - very cool.  That said, the NFL is pushing retro jersies just to sell more merchandise, which leaves me a little bitter everytime I see them.  Not faulting the NFL for trying to make an extra buck, but it would be nice if we were seeing old jersies just for the sake of something new and fun.

Other Toy Lines / Re: How do you display varying sized figures?
« on: November 8, 2009, 08:01 PM »
I don't mix and match sizes.  My 12" stuff all goes on a shelf, my 4" figs on a shelf, etc.  Legends/DCSH stuff might get mixed together, but they're pretty close.  The only exception to the rule is if I'm totally out of space somewhere - I think I may have one shelf on the bottom of a display where I had to put together 12", famous covers, and some smaller scale stuff, just because none of it warrants a shelf of it's own.

I've never been so happy to lose a survivor league... the 0-7 Bucs, wearing creamsicle, beat the Packers.

******* greatness.

Ouch, didn't realize you were so anti Packers.  That was a swell game - they got dominated in the 4th quarter and Rodgers was throwing more to the orange crush than his own guys.  Guess those 6 sacks per game are getting to him.  The Pack might still make it as a wild card, but I'm not holding my breath after this game.  IF that O-line can't hold the Bucs, then they wouldn't stop a real team in the playoffs anyway.   :P

Finally checked this out last night and it was pretty good.  Seemed like they covered a lot in just an hour.

*SPOILER*
So, I'm watching with my wife who never saw the 80's series.  When the two FBI agents pull up to the night meeting I joked that the lead chick's partner was actually an alien.  We were both pretty shocked with the ending and even more shocked to see scenes for upcoming episodes!

I haven't seen the Klaatu variation.  Do you have pictures?  Is this a difference in plastics used or just discoloration over time?  Seems odd that you would have a half and half version - I guess they just mixed parts at the plant.

Wow, that's ridiculous.  I hope they kick her off the team for that kind of behavior.  I can't even see the justification in one thing she did, let alone multiple attacks on other players.  >:(

I think the added trouble to this line is the mixed assortments.  When I have found figures at Target, it looks like a full case was put out, but there are figures from multiple waves, so the BAF parts don't match.  Come to think of it, I don't think I've seen a "full" wave in over a year (if ever).

Anybody who hasn't been to toyrocket recently should go check them out.  I was looking last night and figures are down to just $5 for recent waves!  :o

Check your local Aldi's...  If you have them.

I found Deluxes for $13 after tax tonight, including the more recent sets (Freeco & Dooku).

Aldi's?  Aldi's?  Seriously.  Thanks for the tip!

Yikes, that's not very positive for the line.  They keep coming out with a few figs I want in nearly every wave, so let's hope this is just hype.   :-\

I think that's pretty fair when averaging out the price to include a complete Jabba w/dias.

Yeah, that's true.  I'm trying to gauge that versus the box or master case prices though.  If the Fett Series was about $160 per box, are these things going to be $200 per box?  If so, a set of 6 for under $100 is a steal.

I went with the Bespin Freezing Chamber as well, but the others are fantastic too.

Same here.  I like them all, but that one is a level beyond the others IMO.  My second would have been Echo Base.
