Saga Collection '06 / Re: Battle of Carkoon Wave
« on: November 30, 2005, 12:29 PM »
RS says the price for the basic figs are $6.99. I hope its a geuss.  ???

That was the MSRP for the ROTS figures as well. Wal-Mart will most likely force the price down to $5.99 if not lower.

You have to give credit where credit is due and RS does do very nice photospreads for the figures (not to disregard Jared's talent.) The Leia is looking real sharp and will be a most welcome addition.

But, I still think the helmet is too big.

Jesse beat me to the punch as well. It's one thing to shift your focus in an exciting way toward a loved one, be it an opposite number or a child, but another when the other person is giving you an ultimatum. It won't just stop with collecting and it's not accepting who you are (as long as you're reasonable and don't let collecting run your life.)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: New $50 Multi-Pack at Wal-Mart
« on: November 29, 2005, 12:31 PM »
It looks like a reader has reported to RS that the "12 pack" is actually just a case/box with 3 of the Twins sets, and an assortment of 6 other ROTS figures, possibly in a stand up retail display box.  So it doesn't sound like it actually is a "multi pack" as was earlier suggested/reported.

This would make the most sense. I find it very hard to believe that anyone can get a product on the shelves before we found out about it.

I think I'd have to go with the Deluxe Palapatine as well. I never even bought one to open.

I picked up the 1933 King Kong yesterday and couldn't wait to watch it. I  think it's the first time I've seen it in more than twenty years.

Was also tempted to pick up the original War of the Worlds, but I have to let my familiy pick up something they know I want for christmas. ;)

Be careful as there are reseals and fraud artists out there, learn what to watch for.

That's the stuff that scares me.  But I don't plan on doing any bidding/buying for a while until I've educated myself a little more.  Nothing would suck more than to win my first vintage auction only to get it home and realize it wasn't what I was expecting.

Yeah, that scares me too, and I hate to be prejudice, but it seems a lot come out of the UK, so I tend to not even look at those auctions on ebay.

Nice. Though I was hoping it might be one of those, got as part of a lot where the person didn't know what they had in it, type of things. I love those stories.

Thanks for posting the pictures! I hope Sideshow makes one at least half as good as this one.

I passed on corrected Bly and Gree on Friday, Saturday and this morning.

Not to stray to far OT here, but, how are these corrections and not just mistakes or accidental paint mixture changes?
