Interesting, I'm glad I don't feel compelled to collect packaging variants, this would be a PITA to track down. The two I have so far are both the "non-wearing" variety.

Wow, for a guy whose two favorite teams are the Braves and the Red Sox, last night was super fun. Like getting kicked in the nuts with an iron boot...twice.

Seriously, 3-2 lead in both games in the 9th and you can't close it out?

I'm sure the Yankees were not trying to tank that game near the end there.  ::)

Does Toryn Farr have some kind of cool EU backstory that would cause fans to want her? Because I am scratching my head over that one...seems like an incredibly boring "action" figure.

I'm not even going there with Jocasta, I still think people are just voting for her to irritate Hasbro.

Doallyn would be the bomb.

Also in that podcast, Derryl confirms that NYCC will have a LOT ("a ton") of TPM3D reveals - movie line, vehicles, a new previously unmentioned sku, etc.  It sounds like they are pretty much showing all their Spring 2012 cards at NYCC and rendering 2012 Toy Fair meaningless for the most part.

No love for the Clone Wars line? There's gotta be something new they can show off, even if it's the next 1-2 waves of figures after Wave 12. There's no way Hasbro doesn't have that stuff planned out already.

I picked up another Shirtless Savage, Commander Jet, Snow Koon, and the elusive Kamino ARF courtesy of another local collector who found them at a distant Target last week. Could still stand to grab another Kamino ARF, since I like to have at least 2 of each new figure while I decide what I really want to open. But technically I am done with Wave 11.

Still need 2x Seripas and ALL of Wave 12, which has yet to appear here.

What's weird is the figures I got today only rang up at $7.99 each, a far cry from the $9.89 I paid last week at a different store for the exact same figures. That's a wide swing for 2 stores in the same city.

Saw a few of the new figures today at Target. Looked to be this case assortment.

That's the one I have been seing too.

So if that's Wave 2 and the SIF Wave is Wave 4, what is Wave 3 supposed to be?

I ended up watching the episode that aired after Clone Wars last week and it was surprisingly not that bad. They're doing a good job with this franchise right now.

The new Voltron, by comparison, SUCKS.  :-\

I would love to see them release 99, but it seems like it would make for kind of a creepy toy. Plus they always throw out that whole "we are cutting back on obscure characters who die quickly" stuff whenever they get similar questions in Q&A.

Cut Up looks like a winner though, however he arrives. Really cool to see this because unlike TVC, we literally have NO idea what is in store beyond the waves that are already hitting retail.

Hopefully we get some more sneak peeks at the NY gig.

Or figures that were stashed somewhere else in the store, found, and put back where they belong.

Yep, could very well be...I went back tonight and saw another Hondo there all of a sudden. Weird-o-rama.

Liked: Ackbar Wand! It actually does something!
          Karkodons
Awesome Indy nod: "Eels - very dangerous" I was waiting for "you go first"...
Awesome Jaws nod at the end - Also waiting for "Smile you son of a b..."

And SPOILER ALERT - (SORRY) - They finally freaking killed the bad guy! Hallelujah! I've been waiting for that for like, forever.

Oddly enough I went back to that same Target I found Hondo at earlier this week, and I found Commander Jet, Snow Koon, and Shirtless Savage suddenly on the pegs.  ???

It didn't look like they had stocked additional cases either, they had the same two El-Les's I saw before. Returns maybe? Someone only bothered to put out half a case or something? Weird, but I'm not looking a gift-horse in the mouth. Those suckers are mine. Savage is freaking awesome.

Best part of all was this joint had the Capture of the Droids BP out on the shelf - finally. Very relieved to cross this off the list.

No sign of the Kamino ARF but I ain't about to complain about that. If this is the lucky store I am going to keep going til the well runs dry.

That is.  I'd say maybe a rollback is in effect?  Maybe the retailers are seeing that the price hikes have gone too far?

Yeah, a stark contrast to the $9.89 I paid at Target for Hondo this week. I confirmed this is at least a dollar over the vintage line and more than that over Legacy at their stores. Not sure how they justify that move.

Based on what I am seeing, they need to cut a swath through those steaming piles of Legends festering about. Whether it's Walmart or Target, they invariably seem to outnumber the Clone Wars/Vintage offerings combined. I am hoping for some kind of mass clearance before they close that line out...

You need to give us some pics of all of these acquisitions you've made!  Especially since it would be nearly like looking at a complete vintage collection.  8)

Thanks! You are right, but due to space constraints the vintage collection is all chilling in storage bins right now, so not all that photogenic. I could probably get photos at least of the DROIDS/Ewoks stuff though since it is at least a little more accessible.

Happy to report I am the proud new owner of a complete, minty boxed ATL Interceptor courtesy of eBay. Super psyched about this one...the vintage vehicle armada is now complete!

One step closer to a complete boxed/carded DROIDS collection as well.
