My wife and kid(s) got me the Target A-Wing and a 4 Pack of Cherry Jones Soda. I also found the Zelda?Gamecube bundle yesterday and found a good use for the birthday money I have :-*

I had a great day with a surprise office party and then my daughter snuck home from college and threw me one when I got home. I have enough cake here to feed everyone on the forum!!

I did get some Star Wars guys and though I have them all, I didn't say anything as everyone worked so hard on trying to get them. Oh and I got gift cards to Target and Wal-mart so I'll have extended gifts for my birthday when new stuff starts to arrive :D.

You guys rock! Thank you so much for noticing my birthday!

It's been a tough weekend - a lot of exhausting physical pain. I'll offer details later. Right now I'm simply beat.

The second half of my special day has been free of hurt, thanks to the meds. ;) My wife bought me a replacement for our busted dvd player, my daughter was thrilled about that! My in-laws picked up a day ski pass to a local resort for me. Both are great gifts, and I'm looking forward to getting my feet back under me to use the ski pass this season.

Hey thanks! I had a good day today. While on Friday and Saturday I celebrated, today I had a day working on my projects. I finished my re-creations of the Imperial "Biker" Scout Trooper Blaster and my Sporting Blaster. You can see them on my site www.djsyczylo.net

As for B-Day gifts my parents got me the Master Replica Anakin Skywalker lightsaber. A cool gift. I also got a gift cert, money, a CD, and the new Imp. Tie Pilot Figure. Now if I can only find the rest of that wave.

Thanks guys! I really do appreciate that birthday wishes. :)

I'm more than certain my wife is going to be giving me a bunch of Star Wars goodies, but last night she gave me an early birthday present... a Gameboy Advance SP with Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon. She said that I need something fun to do while riding the train to & from work, so this was a nice gift from her. She has more stuff coming to me, but I'll get that later tonight. ;)

Rumor has it that my dad has been doing a TON of shopping for me, and of course all Star Wars stuff. My dad likes to go out to garage sales, flea markets, and second-hand stores, to buy me Star Wars toys for almost nothing. My mom kinda let me know that he has not one, not two, but SEVEN garbage bags (the big ones) FULL of Star Wars stuff. She told me that we're going to need his Mercury Mountaineer to bring this stuff back to my house. :o Gotta love my dad! ;D

Well, it's Monday and the birthday weekend is now over. No worries though. It took an entire Imperial Shuttle to bring the haul back to my barracks. My dad has always been good at finding the oddball stuff for me, so some of this stuff are things I wouldn't personally go out and buy. But, I am still happy to have gotten these things from him. These are ALL Star Wars related items...

- Monopoly
- Stratego
- game similar to Battleship that has sounds
- Trivial Pursuit
- electronic triva game from Tiger
- trading card games (3 different kinds)
- six Saga figures (one is the Elan Sleazebano variant!) :o
- LEGO kit (frozen Han Solo, Gammorean Guard & Boba Fett)
- Darth Vader watch from 1996 (comes with Millennium Falcon case)
- Lightsaber hilt universal remote control
- Taco Bell cup toppers (a few of them I didn't have yet)
- and more.............

Also got some money from other friends & relatives, and I bought myself a new PDA. I bought an HP iPAQ 1945 at Best Buy, and it's an upgrade to the Sony Clie PEG-SJ20 that I had. Overall, it was an awesome birthday weekend. And thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes. I do appreciate it.

Thanks for the support on the strike. THankfully it ended in the last few days of Febuary. My work place is still trying to get back to normal still but so far everything has been good except the few weeks were we had layoffs and demotions. All of those people effected though came back a week or so ago and alot of other people, inculding me, have been promoted to a little higher paying job class. :D

Thanks for the b-day wishes, fellas, I really appreciate it. I had a pretty good day...hadn't used any vacation time this year, so my wife and I both took it off and caught a matinee of Spidey 2 (awesome). Also, she surprised me by giving me the 18" Amazing Spider-Man action figure as a gift. I probably never would have bought it for myself, and even though it is big, it is pretty cool. Also got some clothes, and a "wavebird" controller for the Gamecube. And...got a $25 gift card to TRU from her sister, so can't complain about that either :). Thanks again so much!

I didn't get any BBD or BPD for my B-Day. I ended up getting $75.00 which I bought DVD's aand a few a couple of other DVD from my sister and her family. I ended up saving some of the money but will use it to pay off some of my CC debit I have.

It's true I have been a rare visitor lately. But exept for buying a few variations, my interrest in Star Wars have been a bit low lately.

Allthru I don't post very much here or at RS, I do visit both fora on regular basis, I just don't login but visit as a guest.

Wow! Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone (except OCB's, of course)! Makes an old man like me feel all warm and fuzzy inside... :D

As for the Birthday swag, I tallied a bunch of golf equipment, clothes, and Best Buy gift cards. But, the Mrs. and I each had a couple nice OTC scores on the drive back from my aunt's house last night, so I'm now the happy owner of an additional 12 or so OTC figures, so my Birthday is now complete! 8)

We never did end up going down just because getting out of work would have made it difficult - we heard the next day that Moore wasn't able to attend - so while it would have been fun, it was no great loss that we missed it. :)

Hey, thanks for the birthday wishes guys! Turning 30 definitely hasn't been a thrill, to say the least. But I'm coping with it I guess. My fiancee has been helping me through it, and hooked me up with some fun birthday goodies to help ease the pain. :)

As for our engagement, it's going smoothly and we set a date for next April. Still busy with all the hectic planning though, and two heavily involved mothers aren't helping matters! :-X

I dunno... I've had a lot of animosity towards Carroll, ever since he showed up as "Matt C." That's my name, and the fact that he tries to steal it really annoys me. I guess it's mostly his parent's fault though, so I'll try not to hold it against him too much. As such,

Nah, you've got that backwards Simon! 30's supposed to suck, since you're officially turning "old". Once you get past 30 though, you're just a "30 something", so it's no big deal anymore until you hit 39, when it's really time to start sweating! So 31's a piece of cake. If not a little boring actually...

Most everyone else is in bed right now, so the real Birthday party will start in the morning! ;)

Just rolled in from outta town, so apologies on my tardiness here, but Happy belated Birthdays to ya' Josh and Andrew!! How does it feel to share birthdays with someone who's twice as old/young as you are? :P Enjoy your youth Andrew, and enjoy your old age Josh. Give it a few months now, and you'll see how quickly the body goes downhill once you've hit "30-something". :-\ So good luck with that! But starting the new decade off in Vegas is definitely a good way to go... 8)

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone. I don't know how much wisdom passing 30 has brought, but it has certainly brought a measure of restraint. Back in college I drew one of the most controversial daily comic strips in our daily newspaper. Letters to the Editor. Death threats over the phone. Nasty E-mails. Lesbians calling up saying they didn't want to have sex with me. Even when http://CreatureCantina.com, which sucks, first started out, I was quite a bit edgier in what I'd allow to go in. Now I've mellowed a bit, I think. Maybe that's a product of getting older. Or maybe I'm just tired of catching all the flack. Who knows?

If anybody wants to do anything for my birthday, you could donate a Star Wars figure to the PSWCS/Garrison Carida Toy Drive (http://www.pswcs.com/toydrive/). There's still about 2 weeks left, and Carida could use more donations. ;D

I won't be making it to the Toy Show next Saturday. But I'll certainly see all you West PA guys at C3 if I don't have the chance before then.

If there's an official JD gathering, I'll do my best to be there. I just hope it doesn't conflict with the time I'll be manning the PSWCS Fan Group booth (hoping that our application is approved).

My parents actually threw a surprise party for me last weekend, and they caught me off guard with that. Other than that, I'm going out for dinner with some friends tonight, and then early to bed (I hope), so I can get up again tomorrow morning for another long day of work. :-\
