I bought 8 at a local TRU yesterday for myself and several other collectors in the area.

Here in Utah we are seeing, while I am seeing the Yavin wave in abundance. I scored four cases of the Yavin Wave (please do not yell at me, I resell to my fellow collectors so we ensure that we get em) and have sold them to my fellow collectors here in northern Utah. So the Yavin wave is showing up. Word of advice though, is Target, TRU and Wally seem to only be getting one or two cases in so the figures GO FAST.  
This is alot like last year IMO. First of the year had figures coming out, but only in small allotments. Luckily we got them repacked in August forward and we could find them quite readily.

I've been fortunate and have everything I want from what has come out this year. That is cause I can hunt at abnormal times and I have a friend who we look out for each other.
So items are there, but you have to be at the store at opening if you want to be able to claim them or early in the a.m. at Wally.  
Problem is the volume of figures. Target's in Utah are somewhat useless, though they did briefly get the Yavin wave in.  
Walmart has been good on the Ultra's, and were good on the Hoth wave but that is it.  
TRU, well there so called SPECIAL in Feb. was a joke.  No new figures the whole month (but TRU ROCKS with Walmart right now for LOTR figures!).
I think this is like 2003, small case assortments reach retail but only early birds are getting them.  I think it will remain that way until August when the stores will load up again like in 2003 in time for the DVD release.  From August to Decemeber things will be good, and then the real drought hits from late December to April when the new Ep. III figures are sold. Hope I am wrong!

These were found in Utah at Kmart's of all places. One case to the stores that got em and that was it. I have not seen any of these at all.
I really think that this year is being ALOT like 2003, in that there will be a drought with a few cases hitting here and there, and then come August, the stores will be loaded up on reissued cases.  That way it ties in with the DVD release.  Then August to December will be good in terms of finding stuff, then we hit the HUGE drought til April 2005 when the new Ep. III stuff hits.

That may have been me, might not have been.   I usually always sell at my cost plus a few extra for shipping and/or gas.  Never been in this to make a ton of money.
This year though I left my nice paying job to become a teacher and money is tight (we have a good amount of $ but it is in IRA's, a 401K etc) and I won't take the penalties for breaking into em (not worth it).
Anyway, thanks all for the advice. I'll check ebay and see what I can get for her so I have money to fund my hobby for the year (not just from her) as I stated earlier and do not have to ask the dear wife for $ from the budget.  Thanks again!

Two items. I really like this figure and have it displayed with the Millenium edition emperor zapping Vader for not completing an assignment. Thus I think it is okay for him to have the hand. IF I wanted to do the scene with the emperor and Vader in the throne room, I can take the hand off. I like his glow in the dark feature also!
