Hampton Inn.

and hey Jesse I may bump into you Wed. I'll be setting up the PSWCS booth as well.  We're planning on maybe grabbing a bite after, then a few of us will be hanging out at the room. Give me a ring or leave a mess. when you check in.  I know the guys from the group have something like 20+rooms booked at the Hampton Inn.  Most are coming in Wed. afternoon.  Should be fun.

The blender is already packed ;^)

I'm going, and I'll probnably suck it up, and pay the extra $5 ($10 total) to do the early bird entrance.

One of my "newer" areas I'd like to focus on will be Lego figures.  (I've stayed completely away from the Lego sets period up to this point, save for a few $1.99 sets I found on clearance).

I'd like t o get in, and do a quick run through to see if anyone has them in any clearance bins, or whatever I can find.  They aseem reasonably priced right now, and I just have a feeling this will be one of those quirky segments that will catch on as time goes by.

We may do the brews' afterwards. ;^)

It's official as of moments ago.  Lucas called me and wanted to stay in my hotel room.

I told him "Geez George, you're a freaking billionaire, get your own room!"  So it looks like he's officially coming ;^)

Revenge of the Sith / Re: More Target Exclusives?
« on: April 4, 2005, 11:17 AM »
All-in-all - I would have to say that of all four chains that had exclusives, I am the MOST pleased with Target.

TRU botched their Holo Yoda (granted I got one, but A LOT of people ended up pissed on Friday night)

KB Toys had me buying the EXACT SAME 12" scaled Chewie figure only in different packaging!

WalMart gave us a box of air and the Darth Vader carrying case - AGAIN...

Target on the other hand had the Lava Reflection Vader - which was in plentiful supply (everyone who lined up got one) and they had cup w/figure sets (all three cups are great IMHO) and the micro vehicles (which I passed on, but at least it was something DIFFERENT).

Target also went the extra mile with that $1 coupon that we got in the mail - it brought down figures to $4.99 and I was able to get the cups for $8.99 - not too shabby either.

Agree with you totally on Target having the best roll-out my man!

I loved the gift card!  That was rerally neat, and very well done.  Lave Vader was very nice.  The figs/cup sets are great, and they didn;t last but a few min. at my Target.

My Target was very organized (we did have mixed reports on wehat time to show up, but not really a big deal) The yhanded out the tickets shortly before opening the door, you wnt to the toy section, handed the ticet, got the Vader, and thats it, that easy.  Some people who did come later missed it, but not too much complaining.

The figs w/glasses seemed to go extremely fast, and 2 of us asked to see a case, they went in the back and got (supposedly) the only other case of figs w/cups, so we got those, and that was about it.  All the stores I hi9t TRU, Wal-mart, Target were very busy (even Target in the eve. was still packed.  NONE of the Wal-marts in our area had the early bird offer, but I did get it Fri eve. online.

Ebay update (I was so curious to see what ebay was going to be like)on the Vaders/holo yoda-Vaders were going for about $40-$75 yesterday (one oddball auction was a t something like $145.  Today seems to have calmed for the moment at about $20-$40.

Yoda was $20-$30, same today.

Fun times this weekend.
