That's a real drag going back to the old ways but, really looking forward to replacing Ree-Yees in my modern display.

New carded pic - #27 Jabba's Skiff Guard

I have had enough of the LFL EU names bull**** and it looks like Hasbro has too.

Collectors: "Is it Sgt. Doallyn or Brock Starsher?"
Hasbro: "It's 'Skiff Guy'.  Now just shut up and buy it already, collector nerd."

And seriously, Brock?  WTF kind of EU name is that?  Was there an Easton, Hunter, or Ryder on the Skiff too?   ::)

Where did the Brock thing come from?  I missed that.

Honestly, where did that other name came from?  The Brock Lesner one?  I've only ever heard of Sgt. Doallyn for the black suited Palace dude Chewie/Boussh chuck down the stairs, and then Sgt. Doallyn Skiff for the light outfit we're getting...  When did they decide they weren't the same guy?  I missed that memo of dipshittery.

Most Star Wars names are pretty sad...  Not usually THAT sad, but pretty sad.

This is probably the most interesting figure they've done since...  wow...  a long, long time.  :-\

Wookiepedia says the name was always Doallyn until Insider 143 came out last year, which apparently claims the name was always Brock Starsher. ???

Like I said in my post earlier, I'm tired of this bull**** trend of renaming characters for no good reason.  It's really, really stupid.

It was dumb when they tried to turn Ellorrs Madak into 'Ohwun De Maal' and Baniss Keeg into 'Chachi De Maal' (seriously, Chachi - WTF? Why wasn't Ellors named Joanie?) and it's still dumb with Doallyn/Starsher.

I'm officially enacting Star Wars Legends powers to ignore the whole thing and call him "Sgt Doallyn on the Skiff".  Problem solved.

Exactly.  Great name like Queequeg tossed out in favor of "Pagetti Rook".   ::)

Again - Star Wars Legends powers activate - form of "ignoring crappy LFL re-names!"

That needs trademarked.

That issue of Insider should be burned.

And this is exactly why EU was always EU, and everyone could, would, and should still not give two ***** what some guy tells you anyone's name or backstory is.

The guy in the Rebel Trooper headgear (sans brim) is known only as dip****.  Everyone calls him dip**** because he wears a hat that's missing 50% of what comprises a hat.

There's his backstory.  Nobody in Jabba's Palace even took the time to know that guy's name.  They just knew him as that human with half a hat, what a dip****, and thus his name stuck.

I had no idea someone in LFL tried to rewrite names like Ellors Madak...  Why?  Not that it was a great name, but it was there so why would they try to overwrite that for no reason?

Then again, the lame attempt at forcing the Ellors Madak species to be related to the Duros, for no other reason than slight similarities, was another fine effort of the EU to cram **** together than didn't need cramming.

EU today is still EU to me.  Nobody's telling me what Star Wars is, including Lucas since he sold this crap off.  He can suck a b-hole too.

When did they decide they weren't the same guy?
Back in 1996 when the short story that created the name Doallyn was released. In it Doallyn stays behind at the palace and lives. Whereas the skiff guard got chopped up and fed to the Sarlacc. The Insider article just tried to fix the misconception that the skiff guard was ever Doallyn by naming the previously unnamed guard Starsher.

When  I saw the picture at the front, I thought he was a guy in white wearing a bowler hat too far down on his face. I wondered why he was looking down. It's kind of a crappy head piece but I guess he does look like the picture. We will never see him at retail.

Is this the best 3 3/4" Vader ever made?

Sans removable helmet (you know my opinions there Matt), yes.

The GI JOe wrists and hips make it Disco Vader.
