The mold for the fuselage/cockpit has several changes as well. Note: Center Guns, the greeblies and viewport.

Yeah, the more I looked at, the more subtle difference I thought I saw...

I started to think maybe it was just me hoping, but maybe just maybe it is a total revamp!   :o

I, for one, will welcome this revamped TIE x1 with open arms.   :)

30th Anniversary Collection / 30AC Darth Vader's TIE Advanced x1

Do my eyes decieve me or is this a NEW Vader's TIE?   :o

I don't remember Vader's TIE having "ejecting wings" before.  In that picture, it definitely looks like the cockpit attaches to the wings differently than the older version.  Hmmm...

edit:
Here's a picture of the old wings for reference...

Oh, yeah - definitely new wings!   ;D

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Scorch leg swap
« on: April 11, 2007, 12:03 PM »
I need some help articulating the legs of a scorch fig.  I want to do the knees and ankles, with out having to do any sculpting.

I merged your post into this existing thread since it has some of the answers you seek...  ;)

Not that it fits and not that many are aware it was even on, but Canada defeated the US tonight here in Winnipeg at the IIHF Women's World Hockey Championships, 5-1 if I got the score correct.   :-*

At least I can take solace in the fact that the gal who scored for Team USA was a Golden Gopher.   :)

Oh, and to keep things on topic, it looks like I'll have tickets for Game 4 vs. the Ducks next Tuesday.   8)

So this makes me wonder, are we going to get McQuarrie versions of Han Solo, Luke (as a girl) and Lando (wearing Leia's dress)?

I guess this is worth repeating for those who don't keep track like us OCD folks...

These are confirmed:
Concept Stormtrooper (wave 1)
Concept Boba Fett (wave 2)
Concept Chewbacca (wave 3)
Concept Darth Vader (wave 4)
Concept R2-D2 & C-3PO (StarWarsShop @ Celebration)
Concept Scuba Gear Luke (HasbroToyShop @ Celebration)

These are not officially confirmed yet, but highly likely based on the retail list that came out this winter:
Concept Luke Skywalker #2 (wave 5) *
Concept Snowtrooper (wave 6) *
Concept Han Solo (wave 7) *
Concept Rebel Trooper (wave 8 ) *

- Again, those last 4 are not officially confirmed, but everything in wave 3 and 4 on that list panned out so it looks really good at this point.

- There is some speculation that the wave 5 Luke is perhaps the Girl Luke since the Celebration Luke is Scuba Luke.  There is also some speculation that the wave 5 Luke is instead a basic figure version of the Celebration Luke.  No one knows at this point, but we should know within a few weeks I would guess.

- There has been no Concept Lando speculation/rumoring that I have seen.

I don't understand why Hasbro doesn't just clear this up and explain what the real deal is.

Hmmm... if only there were some sort of bi-weekly Q&A with Hasbro that the fan sites could use to try to sort all this out.  :D

The next batch of answers is due this Friday (4/13), and I'm sure somebody out there must have asked about the availability of the Droids and just how exclusive they will be.  Luke was announced too late for this week, but there will probably be Luke questions/answers in the 4/27 batch.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Cell phone recommendations?
« on: April 10, 2007, 02:20 PM »
I ended up with this phone - Samsung SCH-a670:

Well, here we are just a little over 2 years later and my phone died on me.

OK, it didn't really "die", it was just a battery issue (I've had the original battery the whole time).  But, since I have the "new every 2" deal with Verizon and I was itching to get something new anyway, I did a little phone shopping this weekend.

After checking out the stuff in my price range, I decided on this one:

Samsung SCH-u740

The two-way flip screen is much easier for writing text messages and e-mail and the larger screen size is much easier on the eyes than my last phone.  Also, it's flatter than my last phone, so it fits far more comfortably in the front pants pocket than the old one did.  The camera is much nicer too - improved flash, focus and video features too.

I've only had it for 3 days, but I love it. ;D
