Do we know what the purchase limit is going to be each day on the McExclusives?

From the StarWars.com story:

"For Celebration IV, quantities of the action figures will be limited per person, based on which admission badge is purchased. Those purchasing 4-day badges will be able to purchase four of the droid figure packs, while supplies last. There are four Imperial symbols on the bottom left of the 4-day badge; these symbols will be punched to show the number of action figures purchased. Those with 1-day badges have one Imperial symbol on their badges, and can purchase one figure pack. Badges will be punched at time of purchase."

I noticed something very strange...

Notice on the Celebration IV cardback it says "McQuarrie original concept Luke Skywalker"   ???

I guess they must have been originally considering having a different exclusive for each convention?

Also, the text in the article makes it sound like you will be able to buy both variants, the C-IV version and the C-E version, at both shows?   Strange... ???

I wonder if he realizes that it comes across as bragging?  :-\

I'm going to guess he doesn't care...  :-\

my friend in Japan ended up at the Blister show this past weekend and he managed to grab one of those big, ole black stormtrooper thing-a-ma-bobs.

Congrats!  That pal of yours sure has come in handy for you... maybe I need to adopt a Japanese collector too.   ;)

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: TRU exclusive Bantha & Rancor?
« on: April 2, 2007, 10:37 AM »
From the HAsbro Q&A at POTF2 (3/30/07):

What will the variation be on the Bantha & Tusken Raider Battle Pack? (POTF2, 3/30/07)

The variation is a change in coloration of all of the Tuskens to a darker reddish brown hue, the idea being that it is another clan. This was actually our intended original version but due to some difficulties in the schedule we decided to split the run using original colors and the new colors.

So... nothing new on the Bantha, just repaints on the Tuskens.    Sounds interesting, but I think I may still just pass on the whole thing.  I guess I'll have to see the pics to see how "different" they end up being...  :-\

Let's see...

January = $53.91
February = $108.14

March = $195.78   :(

Year to Date Total = $357.83

Stuff I bought the past month:
30AC Wave 1 - Revenge of the Sith (8 carded and 10 openers)
30AC Darth Vader with Coin Folder (1 carded and 1 opener)
30AC Capture of Tantive IV Battle Pack (1 opener)
Target Exclusive 30AC Order 66 2-Packs (6 openers)
REAL Action Stands (50)

I picked up a giant pile o' Hasbro loot this month, the busiest month I've had so far.  I went way over my monthly budget of $125, but luckily I am still on target for the year thanks to that slow January start.   :)

Star Wars Battle of Geonosis Creatures - $59.99

"As the galaxy hurtles toward war, Anakin Skywalker, Padme Amidala, and Obi-Wan Kenobi are captured on the planet Geonosis and sentenced to death. Poggle the Lesser, Archduke of Geonosis, accuses the trio of being spies and has them chained to stone pillars in the Geonosian arena. The three friends watch helplessly as bloodthirsty beasts are unleashed into the arena to kill them. At the last minute, they are saved from death by the arrival of Jedi Knights. A brutal battle erupts as more Republic and Separatist reinforcements arrive, ending all hope of a peaceful end to the conflict."

I like Leia...  I think her knees look funny, but she still looks pretty good.

Of course, Han is still my favorite of the bunch.   :)

The latest Hasbro QnA has been posted...

- Details on the 2007 30AC Bespin Han Solo!
- IG-88's articulation?
- Why can't Mace sit down?

Consider this Han Solo fanboy very pleased to hear that we are, in fact, getting an improved Bespin Han Solo.   :)

Does anyone know if Obi/Durge is also shipping in the RoJ cases?

The Obi-Wan & Durge 2-pack is set to ship again in the Wave 3, Revision 1 case, but it is still only 1x per case.

I'd like to see a pic of the kubrick cantina band when someone finally puts the set together.

I saved this pic from Adam (Sithbaker) a while back:

Man, looking at the first 3 waves, it really looks like Hasbro is limiting the concept figures...

McQuarrie Stormtrooper:
- 1x per case in Wave 1, Revision 0
- 1x per case in Wave 1, Revision 1
- 1x per case in Wave 2, Revision 1

McQuarrie Fett:
- 2x per case in Wave 2, Revision 0
- 1x per case in Wave 2, Revision 1

McQuarrie Chewbacca:
- 1x per case in Wave 3, Revision 0
- 1x per case in Wave 3, Revision 1

I wonder if they think they won't sell as well, with them being EU/concept figures and all?

Granted, things can (and often do) change when they start pumping out filler cases later this summer, but given what we've seen so far with those first 6 case assortments, it's not looking like we're going to see the Concept figures in huge numbers

For comparison, take a look at the Galactic Marine and Airborne Clones numbers through those same 6 case assortments...

Galactic Marine:
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 1
- 1x per case in Wave 2, Revision 1
- 2x per case in Wave 3, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 3, Revision 1

Airborne Clone:
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 1, Revision 1
- 1x per case in Wave 2, Revision 1
- 1x per case in Wave 3, Revision 0
- 2x per case in Wave 3, Revision 1

It definitely looks like Hasbro knows the Army Builders are out there as there are tons of those two compared to the Concept figures...

I see where they tried to force them into past scenes, and that was very well done, but I don't get how they added much to the story - at least not yet.  ;)

I thought the big reveal there was that Paulo had found the entrance to and had been wandering around in the tunnels.  That was how he got the walkie-talkie, how he hid the diamonds in the Pearl station toilet, how he saw Ben and Juliet talking about Jack.  Now we know the tunnels are still there and there is an access point for the Losties...

On another note, I was disappointed that the whole "Billy Dee" on LOST appears to be nothing more than a 2 minute cameo.  Was that it?  Lame.    :-\
