TV-9D9 / Re: The Clone Wars - Season Four Discussion Thread
« on: November 7, 2011, 11:04 AM »
I would think the Council would find Krell's way of handling clones as pawns instead of living creatures as unorthodoxed. Perhaps Krell will be shunned by the Jedi? It'd be an interesting route than killing him... and hopefully he doesn't become a pawn of the Sith. Too many of them running around.

But anyways, pretty good episodes. Love the dark feel of it all, literally and figuratively. Love that Hardcase is a bit like Hudson. And I love that they are fighting the Umbarrans and not the droid armies.

I'm still perplexed that Palpatine would have a traitor as an aide, unless Ms Moore has been shunned by her own people (though that would be getting back to the political side of the Clone Wars no one cares about).

I think Rex buys it at the end of the arc, or pretty soon, since Appo is now in the group.

I haven't seen the episodes yet, but if the Umbarrans are fighting the Republic... you wonder if there's any mention of Sly Moore?

Props to Jeff for hooking me up with some UPCs and forms for the new Fett mail-away.

Bah, still looking here in Manhattan. The Harlem Target was gray-dotted for a while only to be refreshed (with returns?) Sith Yoda, and 3 green-helmeted clones. TRU in Times Square is great if you are looking to army-build R5-D4s.  ::) I guess the only way I'll find them here is if I splurge $15 at a comic shop.

The Dewback without a Sandie might be a good idea though, with all the Sandies about without a mount.

Jeff - I didn't know you guys had another baby - belated congrats on the third son!

Pssst. And he's since had a daughter (about a month ago).  ;)

I had to watch the scene with him and the wife twice at the end to figure out what she said. At first I assumed it was just "Thanks" but the second time it sounded like she said "Stay". Yeah, great idea honey.

I have some bad hearing and sometimes when I can't catch something with all the background noise (kids, wife), I use the CC feature. It works wonders.

New Boba Fett

Maybe Boba is the Mail-Away? Unless he means Lil' Boba.

I'd love a Hammerhead on a Vintage card. I think all Star Wars figures need the vintage treatment.

Yeah, the Manhattan TRU is full of droid army builders... that is if the army is composed of R5-D4.

Yeah, I can't believe Hasbro go through Targets and WMs distribution centers to pull figures, but maybe I'm wrong.

It's the whole panic idea, I think. Get it now! But on the flip side... out of sight, out of mind.

But that was at the otheR Site... I think we're more tolerant of peoples' likes here.

I'm all for Jaxxon and other EU stuff. I won't buy it personally, because I don't get into it, but I'm happy for those that do get something they enjoy. And I really enjoy the Cantina and Jabba's Palace figures, no matter how obsure they are. Of course, I love all the outfits that Padme wore, too, despite how some people think they might think they're boring.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Hasbro Q&A Sessions

Maybe they figured the Q&A they had at the figure forum was enough... since most were likely asked by people that run the forums anyway (I don't know the who's who of SW collecting sites outside of a few on here).

Sooo... in hindsight, we should have given our Q&A to Paul, speedermike or myself and we'd have avoided this headache.

Seems like Palpatine never dies, either, just resurrects himself in a clone (of course maybe they finally offed him, just going by Dark Empire).

I realize it's not Star Wars, however, we all know zombies can come out of any pop culture property.

Wasn't there a book about zombie Stormtroopers or something? Definitely Geonosians.  ;)
