Thank you Scott. Delivered to the door for the same price as tru in store. I was about to leave to look for Castas at my alternate tru. You saved me an hour and a half and seven bucks in gas.

My son and I opened up the droid speeder and the clone ship yesterday. I am impressed with how much articulation there is with the ships. The clone craft has positionable thrusters, a turning sled on the back for another figure to stand on and the ability to customize where the guns are used. The droid ship has a bomb insert which can be released at the touch of a button. The wings also can position up or down to give the ship a different look. The best feature on the droid ship is how well the figure sits in the seat. There is none of that uncomfortable bending that some other vehicles have had. The droid can even hold on to the steering mechanism, which folds back and forth by the way. After seeing how cool these are I am tempted to get the grievous cycle. Has anyone opened one yet?

Arrgh hasbro, just when I had convinced myself not to buy that whole set for the bane figure they up the ante by adding the arm panel...I am guessing I will have a while to decide though.

It looks cool, but it seems like a wait until the tru 50 percent off sale that they have offered with every other clone wars large vehicle before I buy it. It may end up under the Christmas tree. Now, the Twilight on the other hand would have me lined up and waiting for the store to open.

Found grievous the clone and the battle droid set today. Castas was the one I was looking forward to the most. Someone beat me to it. I hate having to work on saturday.
The prices are zany. One rang up 18.99 listed as sw deluxe fig& vehicle. The other sw rapid strike vehicle at 19.99. I should have waited a couple of weeks when these hit walmart, but with how distribution has been, if you don't buy it when you see it, you may be out of luck. If target is clearing the inventory of the deluxe you can bet the new cases are at the wharehouses ready to ship out.
As far as Ashoka I don't remember seeing a new figure on a peg in over a month. Walmart shipped out the leftover Embo waves they had in stock and the have been clogging the pegs since. I am glad that the aqua droid is due to come out again, because I want one or two more. As per the last couple of years, the first two waves get over ordered and then we wait forever for a chance at the last couple of waves.

It is hard to believe that sales are slumping when I have not even been able to find some of the figures in the wild. If numbers are down I would point the finger at production and distribution. As far as the combination of the lines, it it only good business to lead the group of kids that started collecting with CW to start buying some realistic. With the movies coming out in 3D this is the chance to take the group they cultivated with the CW and expand them into the entire line. It makes business sense for Hasbro. I hope it works, because in the end that is good for all of us.

Wow, I don't think I have thought about mini rigs in almost 30 years. But this certainly captures that essence. As a child I played with mini rigs more than regular vehicles because they were small and easy to "fly around". They also fit more into my childhood budget,(and a small gym bag for transportation) so it was easy to own them all. My son is dying to find this at a store, and I will be just as happy to buy it.

After countless trips through all the local stores, I finally had to break down and pick these up on the secondary market. As much as I hate to resort to it, the fact that I have not even had a sniff of this wave in the wild and with gas trading with gold futures it made sense. The figures are worth the work to find them though. The barriss is the best of the lot. She jumps right off the small screen. Now the wait begins for those battle packs.

It would be great to see them develop this arc some more. Trench would be a jem! So would the stealth pilot. You could put me down for a stealth ship right now, but I think we would see a Twilight before the stealth ship. And the forecast for that is, for whatever reason, not good.

It's great to see more clones with unique head sculpts/paints. I am still a little disappointed that Jesse did not come with a removable helmet to show off his head tattoo.

I think the availability of new cases varies from store to store. The two walmarts within 7 miles of my house have a very slow turnover rate and usually never get past the first couple of waves. I have to go about 20 miles to find the targets and walmarts that have turnover like you are describing. With the price of gas so high, along with spotty results at best, even at the good stores, It is pricing me out of weekly hunts very quickly. I am almost to the point where I will wait for the surplus to hit HTS and order from there. IF they ever make it that far.

Castas is a must everything else may be a wait and see.

Good call on the droids bp. It will give people who missed 3PO the first time a chance to pick him up, but I don't look for anything new there. The Zillo beast pack has a ton of opportunities. I would certainly drop the cash if it included palps. More likely it will have a new Cole repaint, maybe Trapper or Hawkeye. I can't remember who went down into the pit with Ponds. In any case it has potential.
Now an ultimate battle pack with the Zillo along with a couple of new or repainted figures would have me lined up at the doors.

I have to think they will revisit the clone wars mail away policy. Mail aways are IMO the best part of collecting star wars toys. Getting that box in the mail and waiting to see what that new character was like was amazing. My son gets just as excited when the current mail aways come in. I would hate to see Hasbro lose that segment of future collectors to pinch a penny today. I do not mind paying an extra dollar or two for the mail away if it kept it going.

Trench would make a great mail away. ...At least with the mail away we know we can find the product.
