The Vintage Collection / Re: 2020 TVC Imperial Troop Transport

Considering how the tank noise dived in price is this worth pre ordering and paying full price or more? I'm feeling a little ripped off on how fast that tank and now the skiff went bargain bin.

My initial thoughts are always the same. However, I always buy one or two (of fleet building vehicles like this) at retail price, then wait to see what happens.

Pretty neat.

With the Troop transport on the way, literally, to my home, I'm getting a good feeling about a re-issue of the speeder bike.

Mine are on the way! My buddy picked his up at will-call. In spite of it being a tad underscaled, I'm really psyched about this.

I was just pontificating on these waves with the current state of the Vintage Collection. Although I will certainly pick up the updated versions of these, and I don't necessarily think that these are bad choices, I'm now scared that these are going to severely hurt the line. I'm hungry for new figures. I'll buy them. But, I'm just one collector. If these 2 waves end up sitting in warehouses, I can't just can see much more becoming available after that.

I dunno. Hope Toyfair offers some hope.

Reading the comments, it's kind of tough to come up with an iconic set piece from ESB. Jabba's prize was about as simple and practical as you can get. It's a perfect diorama backdrop with a lot of display possibilities. That said, I wold think that another crack at the carbon freeze chamber is the best possible set. It's usable for 2 separate scenes; Han's freezing and the Vader/Luke dual. What makes it complex is it's multi-levelness.

Another much have. Next time I hit DL, will easily spend more on droids than on a ticket to the park.  ;)

Completely agree about the rebels version of the ITT. The Tank proves that a high quality version can now be done.

BUT, just for good measure, would still love the very first prototype made in 1978/79. The one with the pointy front.

Great custom!

Too much goodness from this show to not make. There's almost no excuse not to re-issue a repainted speeder bike now.  :)

With the Black series Chewie/C3PO set, there's almost no excuse for Hasbro not to do a VC C3PO with removable limbs now. That should really be in this wave.

I managed to grab Yavin ceremony Luke in store. With him being the 100th figure, It's a good number to bow out of the Black Series on. It's a fantastic line, but I have no real display plans.

Oh! How could I forget the Imperial Transport?! Can't believe that it was made in live action form. I really want a bunch!

I liked that twist. It didn't occur to me. But wish this thread was better executed throughout the trilogy.

My story for getting to see this was fun. Had tickets for Thursday night (the 19th) with the same group I always go with. The weekend before I was writing with my British friend at a coffee shop when a work colleague texted asking if could cover him on a 4 day gig. Tuesday through Friday, the shooting days, Wednesday and Thursday, being nights. I reluctantly agreed. After getting booked and going back to my work, it suddenly hit me and I said a frustrated curse semi-loudly - I had agreed to work Thursday night in conflict with seeing the movie.

Obviously work was more important and I laughed luck. So did my British friend.

About an hour later my, British friend asked me about what I was doing Tuesday night. I didn't have anything to do, so she signed me up for the BAFTA screening to see Star Wars. Never knew she was in the British Film and TV academy.  So I got to see Star Wars on the 17th.

I felt the movie was the best of the Sequel trilogy. I really enjoyed it. But, it's still a JJ Abrams movie. Very fun, but very flawed.
