Please tell me their image is reversed, and that he'll actually be carrying the ice cream secret rebel plans in the correct arm...  :-\

Either way, congrats once again to OCB for making it all happen.  8)

I remember a guy named JediMac, but he wasn't really helpful, so who's this new 'thing'?

 ::)

Also, if someone could pass along to Jared (and the rest of the Coman-bashers) that it only took me 1.97 years to finally take my (5G-late '96) iPod out of the box and start using it, I'd appreciate it...  I want to keep my technological reputation intact.

Great X-mas gift, albeit nearly 2 years late.  ::)

God, I feel like I'm in high school again, making my bitchin' mix-tapes!  :-X

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: So Arizona?
« on: January 1, 2009, 08:37 PM »
My parents live in Scottsdale (where all the pro athletes and celebrities get busted), just outside of Phoenix, so I make it out there once or twice a year.  Nice place, but definitely too hot for me in the summertime.  Any Arizonan would tell you "it's just a dry heat" though, so don't fall for that!  You'll definitely never have a problem finding figures again though, Daniel, as Arizona is probably in third place behind only SoCal and Minnesota for most Targets per square mile.

Any chance for good pizza and bagels?

Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa.  Tell 'em to play Star Wars.  You'll feel like your 8 years old again (or maybe early teens, in your case).  Love that place!

Also has a lot of nice casinos in the area.

Not in the Phoenix area that I'm aware of.  What are you talking about?  Have I been missing something during my trips out there?!  >:(

Find me a nice condo to spend the winters at when I retire please.  Should be cheap about now.

My parents rent out several properties/houses in that area, including in Flagstaff (snow, like in Canuckia).  Just say the word and I'll hook you up Brent.  You'll get to see me at least every year, so that should be incentive enough, right?  LMK...

Now is the perfect time for the return of Jango's Jargon.

Thanks for the suggestion Matt, but we've already contacted Cory, and apparently this is a no-go.  He's too busy polishing his Jango toothbrushes and washing his Jango underoos to devote any time to the (defunct) main page here.

We have however contacted Rob Gailor to see if he wants to start contributing again.  Our last ditch plan is to see if Angry Ewok is still alive...

My pleasure.

Though as I scroll back a few posts now, I see that Fury already mentioned the same thing.  Just in slightly less (verbose) detail...  :P

Have been on hiatus from JD for almost 2 years. Good to be back and I am sure it will give the staff cause for a few words of disbelief to see my ugly mug back in the forums.

Well, holy crap!  Look what the cat dragged in...  :o

Good to see your ugly mug 'round these parts again, Thomas.  Hope life's been treating you well these past ___ (10?) years since we've last see you.  Nice Chewie collection.  Keep it up!

so is there a way to fix the album art covers on Itunes?

This happens often, as you'll soon discover.  There'll also be many album covers iTunes can't find at all, so the following "fix" will help you fill in those glaring holes too.

First, just delete the cover that Itunes automatically stuck in there by right-clicking on the album cover and selecting "Clear Downloaded Artwork" from the drop down list.  You may be able to skip this step altogether, and just do the subsequent stuff, but I've never bothered to find out.

There's lots of ways to stick the appropriate album cover in there, but the easiest is probably to just go to Amazon.com's music section, and search for your album.  Once you have that page, just right-click on the album cover shown (or pick one of the other versions the "Amazon users" have included below it), and select "Copy" from the drop down list.  No need to save it, "copy" works just fine.

Lastly, go back into your iTunes album page, and right-click on the album you're adding the cover art for, and select "Get Info" from list (first item).  If you get a pop-up with a question after that, just click "Yes".  Then you have your album profile up, and you just go over to the Artwork square in the lower right corner, right-click inside of it, and select "Paste".  That should stick the cover you copied from Amazon in there.  Then just click "OK" at the bottom, and wallah, you should be good to go!  Good luck...

I finally joined the 21st century and got my ass into iTunes not too long ago, and this was one of the first fixes I needed assistance with too, so enjoy my helpful New Year mood.  :P

Happiest of birthdays to ya', Cocky.

I remember when you were such a young pup.  Man, you're really gettin' up there now.  Next year you'll be closer to 40 than 30.  Yikes!  :-X

But try not to think about that, and have a Happy Birthday anyway...

Ah, yes - here we go.  Star Wars is Friends Forever.

But Christ almighty, why didn't one of you ******** tell me to suck my gut in?!  I've never seen myself look like that, you dicks (who were in attendance).  I really wish someone would spring for some teeth for the old man though.

****, I missed some fun RS drama.  Been a while, but I want to play too (albeit late to the party, as usual)...

You gathered that from Phillip, I can tell.

Yes, exactly.  We are all very close, personal friends with Phillip here at JD.  Hell, Phillip pretty much created JD, for all intents and purposes.  So please don't ever question the legitimacy of information we gather from our pal Pappy.  Unfortunately, I don't have time to dig through 250+ pages to find "the picture" to further illustrate our close kinship with him to you, but hopefully someone can dig up that great money shot of us from C3 that Jamie took (or was it Jason?).  Classic.  Still have that bag full of pins Pappy gave me too!

The point of Bantha Skull was NOT, in fact, to screw up Rebelscum. They took pride in the fact that...

So please, I don't blame you, but unless you know the whole story, don't spread this around. Please investigate on your own before their reputation is tarnished!

Wrong.

Welcome to BanthaSkull.com, the official secret hideout of the 365th Lockdown Brigade. We are a merry group of Star Wars fans who share a few things in common. Our most binding characteristic is that we loved to derail those asinine threads that pop up on the big boards every hour...  Well, along the way we star(t)ed having more fun derailing threads than actually talking about Star Wars.

We also had a hard time keeping things PG as you might guess from the banner.

Please.  As Scott already mentioned, that's so 2003.

         Wow -- I feel like I'm somebody now.  I've been banned from BanthaSkull.com  ???

For some reason, I doubt you have been banned.  We've only banned four people, ever.

Don't be so sure there, Dre.  Tracy's one helluva troublemaker.  We've had numerous discussions here about potentially banning her from JD, but have ultimately decided to keep her around in case any of us run for president and need to pick her up (quick) as a VP running mate.  It's either her or Beth - take your pick.  Plus, Kevin said she's a great pole dancer.  Or lap dancer.  Or was it lap dancee?  Hell, I don't remember now.  Anyway, she's definitely trouble, so I'd say that was a good call with the pre-emptive strike on her at BS.  You'll be saving yourself from some serious headaches in the future, trust me.

I'm not even going to bother with my thoughts on the most obvious comment (or two) in the prior several pages of this thread, other than to say DUH.  Welcome to the Internet.  God, I feel old.

Maybe if you hadn't picked the one year that I skipped Comic Con as the one year you'd actually show up, you could get a list started here too, Daniel!  ::)

I think you're probably the only person from JD/RS/GH (pre-2007) that I hadn't met yet anyway, so thanks for not helping me round out my list (which I probably haven't updated in years now).  It's not like I'm a completist, or anything...  :P

I realized I've never played this game so...time for a bump. Who have you met in person?

I'm a little late here (what's new?), but huge thanks go out to Anthony for helping a fellow SoCal'er out with some SDCC exclusives last month.  First time I've missed the show in years, but Anthony helped ease my anxiety with several key pickups from the Con.  Thanks a ton Anthony.  As always, I owe you bigtime, buddy!

Hey, thanks for the B-day wishes everyone.  Surprised anyone around here even remembered me anymore...  :P

My birthday present from my sister was finally becoming an uncle a few hours earlier (on 7/31), so I guess that was pretty cool.  First baby in our family in 33 years.  Kinda weird.  But cool weird.

Happy belated birthdays to Paul and Ryan as well.

The Legacy Collection / Re: 2008 Evolutions Sets
« on: July 30, 2008, 02:21 AM »
Finding them for $15 at Walmart... wow.

When I was buying a few extra Evo sets at our 24-hour WM at Midnight Madness (following the TRU binge), I noticed all the Evo sets were ringing up at $15 for me as well.  I threw the several that I bought in the car, and jammed back in to the store to buy a bunch more, and Target will now be getting all of their $20 sets back, despite my disgust for supporting the disgustingly repulsive WM franchise.

The only set at WM that wasn't $15 was the Fett set, which was the regular $20 price.  I'm sure WM will catch this error soon enough, and adjust their prices accordingly, so get 'em while they're hot!

Considering the prior Evo sets were the only items I was NEVER able to find on clearance at Target, this is a pretty good deal now in my books...
