I can't find anymore Gunships......Scalpers? You think, or was this a popular re-re-release?

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: doing a wash?
« on: October 24, 2008, 11:36 PM »
Check your local hobby shop for bottle of "The Detailer" Black it out. They run about $2.50 or so and come in Black, Red, Blue, Orange, and Yellow. I originally used it to accent detail on chrome for model car stuff, but I still use it for all sorts of stuff. The great thing about this stuff is if you don't like it, it washes off with soap and water. If you're  satisfied with the results, simply seal with a top coat of flat clear. If you can't find it in a shop I'm sure you can find it online  ....The Detailer black it out detailing and liquids.

Wow! They are all so Incredibly well conceived and translated over so well, it's hard to pick a favorite, but i think i finally narrowed it down to Bossk, He's my favorite.
But they all rule!

Picked up my first Gunship ever last night, I love this ship, it rocks! But can't help but notice that it looked like a few things may have been omitted from from the interior. Never owning one before, it's kinda hard to tell. To me, it kinda looks like something is missing just behind the dropping platform and directly in front of the platform. Was there some kind of door to divide the cockpit from the rest of the ship. And it kinda looks like something is supposed to snap into position in the rear, i just doubt a speeder will fit back there. Was there some kind of Rifle rack or Ammo cases? ???

Star Wars Action Figures / Re: Theta 288 Custom

Cool! Looks Good, i hope we get some more republic commandos this next year, or at least some badly needed articulation. It's a great figure, just wished the arms and knees moved a lil' better.
Keep up the good work Theta.

Star Wars Ships and Vehicles / Re: Turret Syndrome

Did you sand it thoroughly? Wash with soap and water? I prefer Acrylic paints as they tend to be more forgiving and level out better than Enamels. If you use something like a flat Testors acrylic basecoat and a flat clear topcoat, you can usually hide a lot of sin. You might look into some Modelmaster(made by testors corp) bottles and or rattle cans.

Damn Glorbes, That's awesome! Can't wait to see some figs inside. Just out of curiosity, what brand/color of paint are you gonna use on this? Do you use rattle cans or airbrush? Thanks in advance!

The Legacy Collection / Re: More K-Mart Exclusive Saga Tin Sets
« on: July 16, 2008, 04:17 PM »
Ha! That reminds me of a time when K-Mart had a buy 2 tins get 1 free deal. I had gone in 2 days in a row for the buy 2 get 1 free, and each time they tried to weasel out of it saying "We don't deal with the website stuff", finally after talking to a manager, he let me have them, but tried to keep the circular that i had showing the sale. The second time, i had the same checker and she still gave me a hard time. While she was talking to the manager, a woman behind me asked why i had so much Star Wars stuff in my cart, so i told her about the sale, and she asked if she could have my circular with the ad in it so i gave it to her in front of the manager and the checker, Boy were they ever upset... i waited to see if they gave the woman behind me any trouble. I stood watching as they rang her stuff up and the checker looked in my direction to eye @#$% me, i just smiled and the woman behind me thanked me for giving her both the scoop on the sale and the circular. That was good fun!

I'm sure you might have questioned your sanity during this build, but Thanks for persevering through this phenomenal scratchbuilt custom. Great job!
