There are some really cool Pearl Jam happenings being worked on for this fall. There could be some shows - maybe acoustic, maybe not, a possible CD of some sort, and it's possible the band may head back to the studio towards the end of the year to begin work on their eighth album. As far as new music from side projects goes, some releases are possible but not definite. It's amazing what tea leaves can reveal. That was fun!
Former drummer Jack Irons has finally announced that his new, long awaited, solo album will be coming out in August. It is entitled Attention Dimension.
Even better, you may recognize some familiar names appearing in the credits. Ed Vedder lends his vocals to a cover of Pink Floyd's Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Flea, and Les Claypool also make musical contributions on the album.
Has this piqued your interest yet? Head on over to Jack's brand new website jackirons.com for more information!
what kills me about that is this person obviously bought one strictly for putting it on ebay. stuff like that makes me sick. kinda like those damn gentle giant exclusive busts >:(
how much was this selling for originally from the fan club?
They aired the April 1994 Saturday Night Live with the boys last night on NBC; this was the show done just weeks after Kurt blew his head off, and PJ was kind of right on the top of their wave of success. They did three songs ("Not for You"--months before Vitalogy, "Daughter", and "Rearviewmirror")--and I don't know if SNL ever let a band do three songs, before or since that show. Dave was still drumming.
interesting. they showed some episode from christmas time with pink as musical guest here last night.
they were also the first band (i think) to do 3 songs on the david letterman show as well.
Whew, thought I was being scooped again...

Latest Rumor Pit comfirms the Title and Release date I guess, no Long Road and Apparently no Unreleased Tracks (I guess they did everything on Lost Dogs)
Ah, Vs.That is also my favorite PJ song of all time. One my nicest PJ memories is them standing in a circle during the Ice Bowl concert to close the show. Steam from their sweat is pouring up and the strobes are flashing furiously. The were just playing as fast as they could, it was great :)
That one has my favorite PJ song of all time-- "rearviewmirror".
Ben, I got it like the week after I posted here they were shipping. I would e-mail them :)
Bought my Winnipeg tickets today :)
Sounds like there will be very few Ten Club people there so I expect some pretty kick ass seats :) :)
Hopefully a guy I know from up there goes with me :) :) :)

Pearl Jam, The Ten Club and CBS's The Late Show with David Letterman
are
excited to offer up this unique opportunity to watch the band perform a
short set immediately following their performance on Dave's show on May
4th
in the historic Ed Sullivan Theatre. You must be a current Ten Club
member
as of April 19th and live in either New York, Connecticut or New Jersey
to
be eligible.
Here's how it will work-
This is a first come first serve opportunity. Log on to
www.pearljam.com
Friday, April 21st before 1 PM Eastern time. Go to the GOODS section
and
LOG IN to your Ten Club account. Then at 1 PM Eastern, click the
Tickets
category and you'll have the opportunity to obtain 2 tickets to the
show.
Only the eligible Ten Club member will be allowed to pick up the
tickets.
A government-issued ID will be required for entry into the show.
Now here's the best part. It's free....with a couple of catches.
First,
we're going to ask you for your credit card information. Your card
will not
be charged, but we need it to verify your transaction. Second, you
ABSOLUTELY must be able to participate in this event if you are
able to get tickets. Failure to show up for this event may have an
impact
on whether you are considered for future promotions from the Ten Club.
There are only 350 seats in the Ed Sullivan Theatre, so we only have
175
pairs to give away. These are general admission tickets. If you are
lucky
enough to get a pair of these tickets, you will receive an email on May
2nd, explaining how to pick up your tickets. Keep in mind this show
will
take place at 6:00 PM Eastern time in New York City. Participants will
need to be there by 4:30 PM on May 4th. If you can't make it at that
time,
don't bother trying to get tickets!!!!
Best of luck-
Ten Club Staff
Monday at midnight, Tower in the Village will be giving away half the
tickets to a "secret" Pearl Jam show scheduled to take place on Friday
the 5th. The first 450 fans to buy the CD on Monday night will be
entitled to one ticket to the show, first come, first served.

Does anyone have a complete list of all the Live Bootlegs that have been released to date? I am only talking about the ones that the band has released for purchase. I cant seem to find a complete list and I am trying to finish off my collection.
Basically every show from 2000 on has an official bootleg that has been released. Last and this year were only available via the Fan Club and only on-line via download (as in no discs)
Here's the list...

Can anyone help me find a download of the previously mentioned song? It's a real bitch to find.

I should go iron my hands now, and send not only Pearl Jam some extra money, for my sinful ways. Wait...does it count if no one has the CD?

Good boy.QuoteWait...does it count if no one has the CD?
It doesn't now, but when the CD CD comes out, you should strongly consider sending him at least a dollar each, for whatever songs you illegally downloaded (provided those songs wound up on the final album), along with a letter of apology. That would be the right thing to do.

Thanks Matt, I'm glad we had this talk.
I need to write those letters now.

For a limited time only. (http://s6.quicksharing.com/v/2468235/2006_A_Love,_Reign_O_er_Me.mp3.html)
And people still listen it?I thought you were an English genius?
"Backspacer" will also be available on "Rock Band" the day it comes out, and Target has an exclusive on an edition of the album featuring access to download its songs for "Rock Band" on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. It's a precursor to a dedicated Pearl Jam game that could hit stores in 2010.
Super Deluxe reissue of Vs. and Vitalogy (https://secure.pearljam.com/store/product.spring?sku=9395-SDX)It is better than paying $150 for the Ten Reissue last year...which to me was still worth it and totally kick ass. Really looking forward to this one
:o
I would order this, since Vitalogy is one of my favorite PJ albums, but I'm still waiting to receive my CD and LP of Live on Ten Legs from the fan club that I ordered three weeks ago.
Damn, $150 is a lot of scratch.
Question for anyone who's seen them in the last 5 to 10 years:You need to go...they tend to cover 1-4 songs from each of the albums with an emphasis on the latest (maybe closer to 4-5). Mainstays like Alive, Even Flow and Black get played most nights.
Pearl Jam is one of my all time favorite bands. "Black" is my favorite song of all time.
Having said that I think their, let's say pre 2000 stuff is brilliant overall, but their post 2000 stuff is only "good" overall. When they perform now do they do a nice mix of their stuff or do they "promote" newer stuff? I know they don't have any super recent releases so that maybe helps my cause.
Any thoughts?
