Hey everyone, this morning at Walmart i hit the jackpot
They had 10 cases of the Obi Wan Pilot and the repainted Clone Troopers
BUt one thing i noticed as i was looking through the pegs that #28 Anakin, the one with the ugly makeup on as FINALLY been redone with RED EYESSS..WOOowO and his scars are retouched.
It looks alot better than the original one. I didnt pick it up since i already had two but maybe when they go on clearance in December. 8)

This actually sounds like one of the most legitimate running changes that Hasbro could make to a main character (I'm still waiting on #1 Obi-Wan with the correct lightsaber hand), so I will definitely be picking this one up and replace the "Airplane!" makeup lady Anakin figure I already have.
The only thing that makes me shake my head is that they chose to release it this late in the ROTS line. If only it had been out there around late May, it would have been a bit easier to find. I'm hoping that my local WMs follow yours ST and put out more than one case of these figures, but since they haven't really stocked in a month or more, I'm not holding my breath.

ooh well I'll be on the look out for this one. The paint ops on the face were a big turn off when he first came out april 2, looked to 'girle' to me.

There were a ton of these at Target yesterday, fresh out of the case, I looked around them for the new figures. I may have to hit it again and check it out.

This is cool, but I'm not buying any more ROTS Anakin's after the Evolutions one. I too wish they had done this to start with.

They knew that compulsive people (A.K.A. us) will buy every version so they decided to do a crap eye shadow hooker version to release on 4/2. After it sold, they decided to come out with the real version. Quite similar to what they have done with other figures and saber "variations".

My TRU hasn't restocked anything in 2 months, you sure can build quite the Mas Amedda army though.
WalMart hasn't restocked in 2 weeks, they put out 10 cases of Bacara/R2/Crispy Anakin then, sold them in 1 day, and haven't put up anything since.
Target has had 90% empty pegs with a few clone pilots, neimodian warriors, Mas Ameddas, and salt shaker Palps dangling here and there for 2 ******* months.
There are no KMarts close to here.
Things do not look good here right now :)

I found this at Wal Mart today...I can't say whether it makes enough difference to shed another 6 dollars for though. It's a bit silly in my opinion.

I found this "corrected" version of Anakin yesterday for the first time, and I must admit that it looks a lot better than the previous Raccoon Anakin. Just annoying that Hasbro "supposedly" can't get it right the first time through, which causes some of us obsessive compulsive idiots to have to buy another one (or two). Oh well. At least they finally got it right.
Unfortunately they're not going to be issuing a second correction to the red gowned Palpatine figure (whatever it's called), to finally give him his own lightsaber hilt...

I think this is a huge improvement. The "eye shadow" was overdone before and I really like the possessed eyes.
Will I grab one though? If I see it, probably. :-\

There was another guy picking through the entire section, and he kind of pissed me off because he was draining it of clones, but I snagged you what I think was the only Ani left. Hopefully I will find this new version a I like it better, huge improvement. What I may do is buy the new one, and since I haven't opened the old one, return it. That's bad isn't it?!

If I come across it, I'll probably grab one but it's not something I'll lose sleep over not having thanks to the plethora of other Anakin figures I've already got.
In fact, just the other day we were dicussing how funny it is that Anakin is so variant prone this time around...
#2 - with Vader Saber or with Dooku Saber (in Pink or Red)
#28 - with Dark Eyes or with Sith Eyes
#50 - Paint variations on Crispy Anakin - blackened or cooked.
Dlx "Change to Vader" - 2 different bubbles for placement of armor components
Dlx "Medical Table" Anakin - Glossy or Matte Head

I picked up the sith-eye variant yesterday. The eyes look pretty cool. Too bad he doesn't have an evil facial expression to go with them. He looks like a clue-less surfer dude with yellow eyes...

Found mine yesterday at Wally, so I bought two (my son wanted one), then returned my racoon eyes since my son has an opened one of that. I got another Shock Clone Trooper so I think that was a fair trade. Need to find 2 more AT RT's now and I'll be done until something new hits!

I can't beleive this is something cattyclysm1 found and I havn't (it's usually vice versa). Havn't seen it yet. Has anyone seen it come out of the case to know which coll.,wave,rev. code it's packed in? " I'd like to know..."
