NOTHING beats a nice glass case to display some of your your favorite toys in!
I rescued this from a CVS I used to manage (it was where the perfumes were locked up in the cosmetics department):

It's 9' long by 6' 6" high by 1' deep and weighs almost 1200 pounds! They were just going to throw it away when the store was getting it's 1997 re-fit! I went out to my '76 Malibu wagon and pulled out my tool box, went back inside and disassembled the whole thing in about 45 minutes and loaded it into the bed of my wagon (after folding the backseat flat). I had to build a custom support for the mirrored back and metal shelf rails as it was designed to be mounted directly to the wall of the store, so there was no back on it. I've moved it 4 times (home from the store into my first apartment, from my first apartment to my second apartment, from my second apartment to my friend's basement for storage, and now from my friend's basement to my new apartment last December) and the only damage it got was a cracked piece of plexiglass that covers the top (which alittle epoxy fixed right up ;) ).

Hills/Ames going out business sale?
We got a simialr one when they went out of business, I think it was 90 bucks.
Also a jewelry display case, about 3ft long, but that cost a bit more and a Poster
rack for 40 bucks. Service Merch. closed around here, I didn`t have the scratch
to pick up any cases, but I could have filled the place with them, lol.

Yep, the old collection looks pretty damn nice behind glass and that is one big friggin case you have there. I am still kicking myself for not buying the 8' glass cases from the KB that closed by me....so here's hoping they will close the crappy TRU here and I can buy their huge video game glass case. ;D

Wow! That's a big display case there Specter.
Yeah, the dusting they save is awsome. I use and old stereo cabinate and the moment, but I hope to graduate to something like the DBK's soon.

Those look really sharp, guys. :)
Just a heads up to everyone Wal-Mart is no longer selling guns so they are selling the galss display cases they sold their guns in. With a little work they could be made into some really cool display cases. :)

Anything that cuts down on dusting works for me!! ;D
I'll probably build some glass cases in the future but if I can find something like ya'll got modifying to suit would be a time saving challenge.
In the meantime I plan on building fronts for my cheap W-M book cases !! :D
