That is an interesting 4 pack, looks nice.

I think it is a waste of money/plastic.

Why didn't they include figures in it that were a little harder to get?  If it were me, I would have had the following figures included in it:

- Ephant Mon
- Gamorrean Guard
- Nikto Guard w/ EPII Nikto Jedi head
- Amanaman w/sturdy staff

The cannon accessory is alright though.

I would like the Han out of the set but not the rest. I will wait for this item to go on super low price sale then pick one up. If I miss out on it, oh well. I do not want this set that badly to pay $20.00.

I suppose it's nice for the folks who missed out on these figures.  That group seems to be Hasbro's primary focus this year, those who missed out before.

More power to 'em.  More money for me!   ;D

The more I see that, the less I want it. I was going to get it for the Han, but $20 is a bit much when I have other interests.

I thought I had heard that this set was to be cancelled...

It is a Han that is kit-bashed and cobbled together from the CommTech Cantina Han (upper half) and the PotJ Bespin Han (lower half).

GH.com had a pretty good comparison photo here:

As many Skiff riders as there were at the 'skirmish' at Carkoon, Hasbro could have made all-new figures and put them out seperately on a single card. A new gammorean woulda been nice, too.

Hell repaints of the skiff guards would have been nice...and an easy way to give us Kithaba ::)  Sometimes I wonder about them

No, but they could have just called it "Jabba's Goons" or something like that instead and added in a better mix of figures.

Kit-Bash an Ishi Tib, and throw in a Tessek, Gammorean Guard and Ree Yees. Give us a couple blasters, a vibro-pike and those little thermal detonators we saw a while back, and the two carbonite slabs (frozen and unfrozen). There, I thought up a better 4-pack and it only took me about thirty seconds. Who the hell is working at Hasbro anyhow?

This Skirmish at Carkoon is the sort of crap that sits on the pegs and makes retailers think "Gee, Star Wars doesn't sell anymore".

A better idea for these 4-packs would be to put figures in them that people would want a lot of. 4 SA clones would never sit on the pegs...ever. 4 Rebel Fleet Troopers, 4 Imperial Officers, 4 Biker Scouts, 4 Sandtroopers, even 4 Gammorean Guards would be better than this.

I agree with others who think the set could've included Ephant and sold like mad...

I like Lando's idea of a kitbashed Ishi Tibb too.  There's a figure people would probably think was new they haven't seen it in so long.

Ephant takes the place of any large accessory, then the Tibb, and kitbash the Skiff Guards into Vintage Barada, Vintage Nikto, and just leave Klaatu as is (or even repaint him for a fan-fic or EU type character, who cares) and there you have a NICE appealing "fodder" set for Jabba's Palace or the skiffs.

A new head would be NICE for one or two of the figures...  Just a nice "hey, yeah, we'll give you something new to buy this" as well, but not entirely  necessary.  The figures may not be 100% accurate but they'd be better than the crap we ARE getting.

If they were going to insist on a Han then, I say skip Klaatu Skiff and simply do a BETTER Han...  Use the fold-out diorama Han's head (at least it had the right look) and even the torso...  Attach it to the legs they have in the image.  It'd be better than what we're getting.

I like the idea of the detonators too, some forcepikes and pistols...  Voila.

As it stands, this is a 100% pass on this set.  The Han's too much of a joke to bite.  Even clearanced this is a tough sell to me.   :-\

Found this set today at TRU. I passed on it since the only somewhat new figure is the Han.
The only difference I cold tell from the rest is that Barada's headband is Green instead of Yellow and the weapons are Blak instead of the Copper Color

Crap, ya' beat me to it David!  I thought I was the first person in the country to find this set today...   :P  My local TRU had 6 of them just staring at me.  Picked me up a couple, 'cause, well...  'Cause I HAVE to.  That's why.   :-[

Yeah, not much different, aside from the Han.  The Nikto looks like he's colored a tad differently, but I'd have to pull out my old Cinema Scene to confirm that.  Maybe later...

But they're officially out there now, if you're looking for 'em.

Do the figures look like they're made of any better quality materials than the CS? They had a very cheap glossy look about them. Is this set any better?

They might be from a slightly better plastic this time around, as they don't have the cheap glossy look to them this time.  Or perhaps it's just a different type of paint/finish.  I dunno.  But maybe you can see for yourself when you're up this way tomorrow J.  Hopefully they've still got a few over there.

I pulled out my old Cinema Scene (which was astonishingly accessible) to compare the Skiff Guard figures, and from what I can tell, David and I already pointed out the two most noticeable differences.  Barada's bandana is pretty much the same color of his face - a darker green, and not the orange/red color of the original.  His whole face is much darker (green) all over this time too, not a nice wash like before.

And the Nikto's face that I pointed out is much greener all over too, so it looks quite a bit different than the original, which had more of a peach colored face.  This one also has a black Vibro-axe thingy, instead of the dark brown/gold one he had the first time around.  That's the only difference in the weapons.

The figure's pictures on the back of the box are actually of the ones from the Cinema Scene (at least paint-wise, on Nikto and Barada).  Strange.  I think the originals definitely looked better for those two guys...

Found it tonight.  It's okay, but I would've rather gotten the Han Solo as a basic figure rather than spend $20 to get that and some other stuff I already have.

Is the Han really that decent though Nick?  It's looked really bad in images I've seen.

This is the first posts I've noticed of anyone finding this set...  I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.  Still unsure about buying it but if the Han's decent enough I'd bite.

Saw this at TRU yesterday and I don't think the Han is as bad as the online pics look IMO.  He's actually failry decent, not decent enought to warrant $20 but he's decent enough that I may pick one up down the road sometime (clearance or trade)

Hmmm

I'm miffed at the inaccurate shirt still...  I may hold off a long time, just to see what comes of this set as far as clearances.  I'd rather wait on Hasbro to either make an accurate carded figure or to do it myself eventually than to pay the $20 for it if it's still inaccurate.

At least it's not as bad as those online images implied though.  Yikes that was an oogly figure.

found this the other day at t.r.u. and had to pass on it. these new 4-packs that hasblow is creating kinda suck. i haven't bought the last 2, maybe 3 of them, just 'cause they suck. and i usually don't pass on much stuff. i can probably count the number of things i've passed on with one hand.

The head sculpt appears to be the same as the POTJ Han Solo-Bespin Capture.  It's a reasonably good Han Solo, but it isn't worth $20.

Kinda? You're being generous.

I'll be praying for those of you who have to buy these things, because I don't think we'll see them getting much better anytime soon.
