I got an email asking if I could host this, so I happily did.
Now, the picture:

Good job coeli!
Kevin

Whoa Coeli, that's nice.
Got more photos? I'd like to give it more of a look before adding too much of a critique or anything.
All styrene too? If so, my kinda ship builder. :)
I gotta get a new saw to cut styrene with... I'm debating on what to buy since I'm actually not well versed with saws and plastic cutting with them. Maybe you can help because it almost looks like a jigsaw in the shot there. I'm curious about that.
-
Yeah, thanks for hosting that famine, I'll let him know that it's up now.
Jesse, coeli sent me this pic a few weeks ago, then he asked if I could host it. I couldn't but I knew either famine or dimetrodon could. I don't know if he has any more pics, but if they do, next one goes to dimetrodon. ;)
It's simply amazing. Damn I'd love to have this...
:P
-
Maybe once this is complete he could make a custom drop ship?
Kevin
-
Sure would be cool... I wonder how in the heck those drop ships could carry something this massive? ???
:P

Very carefully. :D

Very cool looking Coeli! Can't wait to see more pics!
-
Damn that is comming along great you sure have a great talent to make that from scratch well done.

Good Lord... check out this pic of it. If anyone still doesn't want to buy one of these from Hasbro... you aren't really into Star Wars IMO.

:P

I'm speechless... I am without speech! :o
-
Very nice. :o
I still haven't gotten a thank you from coeli for hosting the origional picture. :-\
Kevin
-
SWEET! The scale looks pretty close too!
-
WOW, now that's impressive.
The sheer size of it.
Do I dare ask? Do the legs move?
-
Wow... got a message from Coeli - and it looks like this behemoth might be showing up in the Rykrof Enloe series!!!
:P

Chewie invited me to come over and play, so I was happy to oblige! I am a regular over at the RS forums, started there way back when they were the Collect Star Wars forums. I recognize quite a lot of names here that regularly post at RS so some of you know me.
I am currently 34, married, 2 kids, mortgage the whole nine yards. I fell in love with the OT when I was a kid and have picked up right where I left off with the prequels(I love them just as much as the originals!). I started customizing when I was a kid, and found that the kid in me today likes to do it still.
I have some customs posted at (hope I did that right!) These are older customs, I have done a bunch more since that was posted, hopefully I will send new ones in soon! (http://www.thecustomalliance.com/baumhardt/default.asp[/url)

Coeli, great to have you here. This is a great community we have going here, and it's been growing lately - and with very good members. You may want to post something over in the Newbie section too.
I am looking forward to seeing your work in this section. You are a very great customizer, but also seem to be a great person. It's always a pleasure to chat with you and admire your work.
Your AT-TE is second to none. We've discussed it here quite a bit. Any plans on a Turbo Tank some day?
:P
-
Oh, cool, I didn't know this was posted here! Glad you guys like it! To answer a few questions, yes the legs do move and the scale is close.
Famine, thank you for posting the original picture. Wasn't sure how to get a hold of you. I believe I did say thanks in the thread over at RS though :P
-
That AT-TE blows my mind every time I see it. I wouldn't even know where to begin on a project like that!
Great to see so much new blood over here! Welcome, coeli!
-DD
-
Coeli, when you orignally sent me that first pic some time back, I sent it to Famine to be hosted. :)
Again, we all love this creation you have made. It puts everything I have ever made to shame.
:P
-
I could have sworn I posted here.....
coeli this is truely phenomonal. The detail is stunning and it's sheer size is jaw dropping. I'm glad you made it to scale it looks incredible. I'd love to see this this in the Rykrof Enloe Series :) ;D
One pic is good but I think we'd all love to see more, including some interior shots :) If you need someone to host them I'd be happy to. :)
-
This piece is so amazing...I want to build one so bad.
I don't suppose you'd be willing to share your process? For one thing, how did you make the legs?
And please, give us more pics! How did the interior come out?
-DD
-
Beautiful work... I wanna come play at your house. :)
-
That is beyond amazing :o
wow...wow
-
I never got in here to tell you how great this vehicle is but well, yeah, it kicks ass.
A friend of mine is wondering if you have a templates that you used to make it available at all. or measurements of some sort.
-
Thanks for all of the comments!
Unfortuantely, I didn't save any of the patterns that I made to make this thing, but if anybody would like help, just shoot me a PM!

Bly and his squad. Probably one of this years most copied customs. Bly is just a simple repaint while his squad are made up from Clone Commanders plus the shoulder pads from the AT-TE gunner. One has the helmet from the CC, while the other has the helmet from the #6 clone.

Made this custom swoop from the Shadows of the Empire swoop, plus parts from the POFT2 Probot, Jangos' second backpack and EII Obi-Wans assasin droid.

I repainted the Sneak Preview Wookie Warrior, plus added a bandolier. I thought that the #44 WW's belt would fit on the SPWW, but it is too small. This one is made from Sheet styrene and some wire.
-
Nice job, I like the paint job!
-
Good use of the AT-TE Gunner's shoulder pads. Good weathering job as well
-
Looks nice... any way to resize the image? ;)
Are you going to do any more painting on it? I'd like to see a rider on it. :)
:P
-
Yep, beautiful painting, weathering etc. Muy buen!
:P
-
Amazing job on the vest/bandolier thing. Did you glue on the shin guards?
I always like seeing how small the Clones look next to these guys.
:P

:P
Man, I tell ya. I have tried and tried to figure out the whole resizing of the pics. They usually just turn out with half of the picture gone ::)If someone is willing to explain it to me, I would more than appreciate it.
As far as the custom goes, the paint is final on it, it easily accepts most figs(EII Clone Pilot, AT-TE tank gunner as well as others) I will have to take some pics with a rider on it.
-
Nice looking swoop coeli! I think it could use a tad of weathering and maybe some other coloring, the paint jobjust looks kinda plain.
What program do use use to try and resize your images?
-
coeli,
indeed a cool looking Swoop, a really good use of the various parts, as the only thing I can notice from the parts you mentioned is the "wings" of the ObiWan droid as the vanes at the end of the swoop. I agree with SLC, that a bit of weathering on the swoop could be in order to give it a bit more of a Star Wars look to it.
Happy Customizing!
-
Very nice!! The paint looks great and that's a nice use of the AT_TE gunner's pad. :)
You should make one of those AT_TE troop transports, the ones that are on Felucia with the open roof. ;)
-
Top-npotch bandolier! It looks great! And nice work with the shin guards, they look better without the little tabs. :)
-
Either you need to start resizing your pics. coeli. or I've got to get a bigger monitor. ;D
I like this guy. He looks ready to break some Clone Troopers in half. Great paint job, and I love the custom bandolier as well.
-DD
-
Too bad all these guys are back-shooting b*stards. :P
Great job on the Bly...what reference pic did you use? I ask because some ref pics make it look as if his inner thigh armor is painted as well (albeit a different shade of yellow.)
I like the members of his squad as well. I did the same thing with my extra AT-TE gunner pads, but haven't painted it yet. Great minds think alike! :P
-DD
-
Are there STAP parts in there as well?
I concur with the rest of the group...great job. It could use some weathering though...dirt and grime at the intake vents, some oil stains and some silver drybrushing to show some scrapes and a little oxidized paint here and there. I'd also probably drybrush on a little flat copper in some areas for a little rust action.
But then again, you built a scale AT-TE, so who the hell am I to give YOU advice? :P
-DD
-
Where did we see a pic of his legs...only reason I ask is that I think I'm the only one to post one w/out paint there, and if it's incorrect, I'm changing it ASAP.
-
Two more days and all will be answered. ;)
-DD
-
Great work
I'm going to have to have go at doing the 3-3/4 for sure
Ron
-
i was planning to do one of these, but man, this has got to be the best bly ive seen yet! And its even better that you made his squad too ;D Nice Job
-
I was actualy planning on making an ARC commander using the gunner's pauldron. I was going to give him the ARC helmet circa the clone wars (AOTC-style with a mandalorian rangefinder) and give him a black paint scheme over where the red or blue of the usual ARCs are. He's gonna be called "Commander Gunmetal" when I finish him, cause I'd probably paint him in gunmetal black. Thanks, Coeli; now I knoe what to expect when I make him!
-
The squad looks fantastic! Great weathering job. Looks like they've been through a lot of **** together.
