Episode 1 / Re: What is you favorite Episode I figure?
« on: April 7, 2004, 10:37 AM »
My list (seen at the top of this page...and before I got deleted) has changed.

I have realised that my top 2 choices were influenced by the figures' so called "worth". In light of this my new list is:

5. Captain Tarpals
4. Naboo Royal Security
3. Captain Panaka
2. Watto
1. Holo Sidious

Many thanks,
Rob L.

Finally found Faramir. I know this may not be any big deal to those in the US, but this wave isn't even officially released in the UK until the end of May (if at all).

I just noticed that Chris Rhoads - dustrho has not been here anymore?

Also, his name has been removed from the moderators list?

Is he no longer part of the JD community?

Anyone?

Shania’s “assets” have made her famous even in the UK, where the general population is mostly unaware of Country music. She will be 40 soon, so then we’ll see.

As for the guys, I think most people here would have heard of the name Garth Brooks, but I don’t think his work is too well known here. Like I said, we don’t really get country, just the pop-ified stuff.

The Dixie Chicks are popular because of how they look, but more importantly because they annoyed your President. It’s a stereo-type but CD-burning (and not the process whereby one might bootleg an album) is just the sort of thing we’d expect from Country fans ;)

My neighbour is in her 80s and loves LOTR. She went to see ROTK and then borrowed my ROTK DVD. She told me it’s one of the most moving films she’s ever seen.

She also told me the disc went a little grainy on her widescreen TV. I told her that DVD-Rs only have half the capacity of commercial DVDs and that I had to basically squeeze 2 layers onto 1. She took this on board, told me the copy was still near-perfect, but she doesn’t want to keep it because she's waiting for the extended edition.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Buying a new computer soon... Suggestions?

Just got my first DVD-rewriter (internal 8x used with USB2 external drive enclosure).

It's giving my newest PC a lot to do with DVD encoding, which it enjoys since it's never been "pushed" so far, and my 3-year old computer is very pleased that it can clear out a few gigs of its HD to DVD-R backup.
