Does SE kill him in the comics?

No, it was long thought that Stormshadow was his killer, because at the time of his death he was immitating Snake Eyes during a practice session with S.E. and Stormy was getting a little jealous of his family elders (Hard Master & Soft Master) favoring S.E.  It turns out that it was Zartan who killed the Hard Master (thinking it was Snake Eyes).  That's the jist of it, there is a whole back story about Zartan as a faceless master working for Cobra and so forth, but I degress.....

As for Scrap Iron, he's usually seen with his huge goggles/glasses on.  Never heard of why he has scars.  After all, he is an explosive expert.  Have you ever met a carpenter that wasn't missing a finger or two?   ;D  Dangers that come with the job, I guess.

Dang, that's a lot of info.  Thanks DoctorPadawan.  We'll be on the lookout.

By the way, we did see the Elite wave.  My son was excited to finally pick up Swoop to add with Grimlock and Snarl.

I know that I'm in the minority here, but since you guys are in the know and keep up on all of the TF sites, maybe you can tell me what the latest news in on new animated TFs coming out.  My son is jonesin' for some new ones.

My son and I finally found the animated Swoop at WalMart this past weekend.  It only came to $7.77 before tax.  What a deal.  "Son" was happy for catching up on his Dinobots and "Daddy" was happy for the cheaper price.  :)

WalMart seems to have a nice huge floor display for a push in TFs with a mix of movie, animated and Bumblebee packs, but besides a few new WalMart exclusive movie ones, it's pretty much all old stuff.   :-\

I live in MN like iFett.  If anyone in MN is on top of these things, it's him.  So I will just keep my eyes open and report to you guys if I see anything.

So, no sign of the new animated TFs yet?  Wasn't September when the new wave is coming out according to Toy Fair?  Yeah, I know that it's only the 8th, but I was hoping that Swoop would be out before my son's 6th birthday party this weekend.  He is getting Grimlock to add with Snarl.  I know that what they say and what actually happens can change as well.  I was just hoping that they would be out before his birthday.  Anyone hear anything?  I might be lucky for Christmas.   :D

He's due in September.....

Will he have interchangable faces like on the cartoon?  I always liked how that old school He-Man character (forgot his name) rotated faces on the action figure.  Maybe they will come out with something like that.

Awesome pics!  Thanks for sharing those.  My son has Snarl, and he is getting Grimlock for his birthday (Sept 12).  If Swoop comes out on Sept 8th or around then like it says, I will try and get him that one as well.  COOL!   :)

I picked up a Commander Fox w/ protective case this morning at my Target.  Rang up at $12.99.  So stuff is tickling out before the big day here in MN.

I was at Target tonight and saw the DVD packs with figures.  They had the : Roadblock, Lady Jaye w/out cap (finally), Destro, creeper vines and weather dominator, and the Snake Eyes (w/ glowing feet), Timber, COBRA trooper, Baroness in scuba gear, Stalker w/ jet pack and part of the MASS device.  Each for $19.99.  Man I wish I was still collecting these figures!

They also has the 12" Bazooka, Flint, Cobra trooper and Dusty figures/dolls.

Just not sure how to get them back into vehicle mode

This may be old news to some of you, but a client of mine that I talked to on Wednesday said that she goes on YouTube and watches videos people have downloaded on how to transform your Transformers.  She said that this has helped with a bunch of her sons' TFs.

On a different note, my son picked up a Bumblebee and Lugnut TF toys from McDonalds.  Cute, but definately cheap.

At BotCon 2008, it was revealed that Oil Slick was an original Eric Siebenaler design that was never intended to be in the show...but upon finding out about it, the Animated cartoon crew said "we would have worked him in had you told us about this." As such, Oil Slick is currently not slated to appear in the cartoon...but may be worked into the third season

Now I see why we never saw him in the cartoon.   ;)

I watched the animated show today with my son.  Must've been the season finale' or something because it was 1 hour long and the way that the show ended just seemed like a season ender.

Also hit Target in Apple Valley (MN) this morning and my son bought a Snarl/Triceratops with his allowence.  They also had a guy named Oil Slick.  Never heard of him, but he looked like some tricked out Dreadnok chopper.

That's all,

Jeff
