Thanks guys, I totally get it now. I had that Panthor thing and can still recall the velvety exterior.

I received my non-exclusive Bruce the Shark from Super 7 today, never have seen this in a store. I think I like the bloody one better.

I really did not need another chewbacca that looks that close to the original. At least he could come with a new coat or something.  :D

And Snoke! Nothing on Snoke either...they do a good job keeping the cgi stuff under wraps.

Nothing designed by Jack King Kirby is ridiculous.

Yeah, still not sold on if those are the real deal or customs. Finn looks pretty good from the neck down but that face does not look right somehow. Almost like a Ken Doll...too smooth and generic. The Kylo shots are so close up that it looks a little crude, but maybe it comes off better at a distance.

I definitely think we will see the ones they showed off as prototypes come FF. That could be almost a wave itself, except they are coming 6 per now, so maybe they will double up on a few of them or BB8 gets his own box and the Stormtrooper is #6. There are at least 10-11 figures beyond that which have been strongly rumored or teased, so if they wanted to they could crank out another wave or two and have multiple waves on the shelf on 9/4. That's kind of what I'm hoping for anyway.

Bought an AT-DP for $13 at Walmart over lunch...it was the last on the shelves anywhere around here.

Also picked up a Plo Koon and Skiff Lando for $3 a piece.

Stormtroopers on the beach for Rogue One.

That troop lander is pretty cool. Gotta make a new toy of that.

Yeah, Reed should be older than the rest of them too, except for maybe Ben. He's a tweed jacket pipe smoking guy with grey sideburns the first time you ever even see him. There's a reason Ben always calls him "high pockets". He's conservative, older and uptight...the Mr Ward Cleaver of super heroes.

And Sue is straight up Doris Day. Sally Q Whitebread all the way.

If they think people can't relate to that, just pick another group.

I've only seen T2 figures once, and it was at at TRU.  I've turned to eBay more times than I'm comfortable with this line... just recently I've gone there for Mr. Miyagi with the headband, T-1000 with the hook arms, Bloody Jaws (found him a few days later), and T-1000 with hole in the head (didn't know he'd be at TRU)...

Still need to get the T-800 with battle damage, the chase Sarah Connor, the Japanese Marty McFly with Einstein, Flocked Wolfman, MOTU....

Yeah, the non-exclusive figures are actually cheaper to buy on Ebay, for whatever reason, you can usually find them in lots for less than $10 apiece. I've gotten a lot of them this way.

Interesting you mention the "Flocked" Wolfman. I have been hunting that one too, but have no idea WTF "flocked" means in relation to a toy. I see there are some Funko vinyl figures dubbed that as well. What does that mean? (I can't see any difference between this and the regular Wolfman)

Picked up the exclusive "Arcade Version" Predator off eBay this morning. Got "hatless" Sarah Connor earlier in the week. The work continues...

Nice!  What store?  TRU?

Sarah was actually from eBay too. I gave up trying to find her since TRU is the only place to stock T2 figures around here, and only sporadically at that.

The Black Series 3.75" / Re: Retail Prices/Sales/Discounts

All of the Targets near me have completely clearanced out Star Wars... It's all gone, no SW section at all.

About half the ones around here are like that, the other half have been consigned to a tiny corner of real estate in some other toy aisle on clearance.

I think TRU needs to go ahead and clearance those Rebels vehicles as well, what are they waiting for?

It will always fail as long as these dopes keep trying to drag the story into present day. It is at its essence a period piece, a Cold War fable that is out of place in any other time. I have always said this should be done like Cap America 1, true to its roots. Like Mad Men meets the Avengers.

And stop screwing with the core dynamics of the team and every other little thing you can find to tweak. (Like the costumes, always the worst costumes) do it like you actually respect the source material.
