Well, I joined recently, might as well showcase my second Galactic Marine, which I finished last night.
Personally, I think I could've gotten around the pauldron a bit tidier. I'm exceptionally pleased with adding the head and with the kama on this one. I named this one 'Scar', because of the little slip of the exacto knife on his helmet, while removing the Snowtrooper's rim. And yes, a customizer was hurt in that process ;). I also made a scar on the clone's face, above his left eye.
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/1374584/qy9olj.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/1374586/IpyPOp.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/1374587/nGwtmI.jpg)
Let me know what you like and/or dislike? I'm planning on making more of these, and I believe each should be an improvement over the other :)
-
That looks really, really good. "Scar" - I like that.
Care to share the recipe you used?
:)
-
Thanks, Chewie!
I used the following parts:
Helmet, backpack: Saga Snowtrooper
Head: AT-TE Gunner
Torso, arms, belt, pauldron: Clone Commander
Waist, legs: Clone Pilot
Kama: made from a piece of an old blouse.
The bootstraps are those clear elastic bands that held ROTS Aayla in her package.
-
that looks really good. the kama inparticular is great. it dosn't match the armor, but i don't think that really matters much, it looks great ,very well done and unique. the helemt also looks good, i like that you used the whole plastic helmet instead of adding a soft goods face cover, good choice. thanks for showing it!
-
This one of my favorite GM customs, I just love the two-tone cloth kama...just great!
-
Excellent job on this one. The soft good kama looks excellent. One of the better ones I've seen actually. Welcome aboard.
I have a small question though, Did you ahve any trouble attatching the torso to the waist? The transition looks flawless, ddi you have to do any work to make it fit?
-
Nope, no trouble at all. The Clone Pilot has a waist with a belt cast onto it. It's one piece. I used my dremel to cut off that belt. The Clone Commander, as you probably know, has a smaller hip area where his kama/belt is located. I cut that off as well, just below the pelvis area. The Commander's pelvis is actually smaller then the Pilot's area, but the belt makes up for that. Reading this, it doesn't make sense to me, but I hope you get the picture.... a bit ;D
-
Actually no it does make a lot of sense to me. I my be attempting this Ive been wanting to do one for a while now, and I just so happen to have these parts extra. I think I'm going to give this a try. I really like the way yours came out. Thanks youve been a big help.
-
That's nice to know D_E! But remember to use the Snowtrooper's armor instead of the Commander's. Here's (http://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=12747.0) why....
-
Looks great, the only thing I see is that you forgot to paint the green spots on the Commander kama. :)
-
I like the often used [username]'s customs idea for threads, so I renamed my earlier thread.
Here is my second custom figure (which came before that Marine I posted). Some members from theJawa already know the background story for this one, but I'll be glad to share it here also.
Apart from being a huge SW fan, I'm also highly interested in Formula One races. Last year during the Monaco GP (in May), George Lucas used that venue as part of his ROTS campaign. He made a deal with the Red Bull Racing Team to promote his film on their cars and crew. The crew were donned in Stormtrooper-like jumpsuits and their helmets were altered as well. An ideal project for me, being fan of both worlds.
So, here are the pics, as well as one with a visor-equiped helmet.

Might as well add my first ever custom as well: the Galactic Marine (with bulb-neck). I had tons of fun trying out this new hobby (because that's what it is now). I didn't really look for tips and clues, but the fellas at TheJawa helped me out big time with their advice.
I had the most fun in just figuring out how one thing would fit on another. What if I sanded some more of this part, or if I turned it upside down. You know, just go along the way.

-
Gotta love the Marines. The fine detail is great and the cloth kama is very cool. I really like the dirtiness to it.
one question though. is the backpack upside down or is that how the Marines had them? ???
-
Thanks for the nice comments Dimetrodon :).
Indeed, the Snowtrooper's backpack is upside down, but the Galactic Marines' backpacks are very different from those. I don't have the material to cast parts, so I just decided to use what I had.
For future Marines I think I will use the backpack that came with POTJ Cold Weather Obi-Wan.
-
I really like the marine dude. Great paint job and the removable helmet feature is awesome.
-
Thanks KF. Making the removable helmet feature was great to do! Too bad clones with heads (AT-TE Gunners, Evo Clones) are still quite expensive for me, but I'm confident prices will drop eventually.
I've seen your work as well. I visited your website when dealing with Jon from customcards.co.uk. I was totally blown away by your 'Buggs Bunny Fett' figure! Plus, your Mandolorians are excellent customs too!
-
Nice marine, very good work, but i rellay like the formula racer guy you made.
Very cool. Cool idea. Do you have a picture from the real ones?
-
It was pretty hard to find good pics of them, but here's one:
Actually, the lollypop-man was black and had a Vader-esque helmet. I may make him sometime too.
Totally forgot my F-1 guy isn't complete yet. I have to give him a comm unit on his lower back and a wire in his helmet. Oops.
-
I like that Red Bull Pit Crew Member, very nice.
-
Last night I finished working on my Galactic Marine v3. I attempted to make this one more movie accurate, now that we've seen that Sith snapshot of the 3D model used in ROTS. I used the Snowtrooper's torso for this and dremeled the arm sockets to the max.
I'm quite pleased with how things worked out, because there were times I wanted to throw away that chest and grab a Commander's upper body :). I only have mixed feelings about his right arm. Ball jointed arms and swivel joint sockets apparently don't match very easily.
Contrary to Marine v2 I didn't remove the rims of the visor. I need to practise more on that and didn't want to risk screwing up the head, because I made this one for somebody else.
Parts used:
Head, torso, backpack: Saga Snowtrooper
Arms, belt: Clone Commander
Legs: Clone Pilot
Kama: custom made and dyed
-
The Galactic Marine turned out great. If I recall its the first one we've seen made with the "corrected" armor.
The red bull Han is hilarous. These humorous customs are always great to throw out there.
-
I made this Jedi Master. Nobody you know, just someone I made up. All I have to do is think of a name I guess. Let me know what you think :)

WOW. I think he looks really good! I love the parts and the paint. Very believable. I think the hair came out great. I'd love to know how you did that. My only question, is he blind? It would appear so based on his eyes. If you've painted them then the details are washed out in the picture.
-
Thanks, Brent! And nope, nothing wrong with the picture. He's blind. I remembered a line from a Faithless song: "you don't need eyes to see, you need vision". Quite fitting for a Jedi Master.
The hair is plain ol' sewing thread, only a lot of strands next to each other. I put on a bit of all-purpose glue on the head and placed 10 - 12 strands on it. My g/f helped me make the braid, she has a handy way to make one. After the glue dried, I painted black over it, to cover up the glue and parts that were er.... bald.
-
I really like the look of this Jedi master. He reminds me of an Anistazi Jedi from the Clone Wars comics. The braided hair is an especially nice touch.
Good work, keep it up.
-
Thank you as well, Fritzkrieg. I'm very pleased with the hair as well. This guy was therefore a good testcase for another figure I have in mind.
-
very nice jedi. he looks like he has a refined personality. he could be a knights of the old republic jedi as well. i also like how you did the light saber with the ring hook, i've been trying to do that myself but i haven't be sucessful, you did a good job. do you have a recipe for this custom?
-
Cool Jedi. I really like the lightsaber hilt, and the attachment to the robes. I never would have thought a Valorum body would work for a Jedi but that really does look cool.
:)
-
Chewie, Jedistyle, many thanks as well for the nice comments on this Jedi Master. I'd like to think he was on the Council some 200 years before the events in RotS.
The parts used for this figure were:
- Entire body + head: Valorum (tuff of Valorum's hair cut off)
- Arms: a Qui-Gonn figure. Not sure which one, but any human Jedi arms would work I guess.
- Lightsaber: Qui-Gonn saber, hilt modified a bit to remove it's Qui-Gonn look
- Belt pocket: from AotC Obi-Wan Pilot (that insanely crappy figure)
- Belt: from those plastic rings that hold six-packs together
- Hair: sewing thread
I just made tutorial pics on how to make the removable blade. When I wanted to make pics of how to make the D-ring, the batteries of my camera went dead. And so did the back-up batteries :P.
Anyway, here's how I made a Qui-Gonn Ep1 blade into a lightsaber with removable blade:
Take your 'fixed-blade' of choice:
Cut the blade off precisely at the emitter. Using a pick or a push pin, make holes in the blade and the hilt, in a manner that the holes are at the same position on both parts. Do this very carefully, by gently but firmly twisting the pick/pin in the parts. Only has to be 3 or 4 mm.:
Take a paperclip and superglue one end in the blade:
Cut off the paperclip so that the 'peg' in the blade is too long. Place the blade in the hole in the hilt and mark where the peg enters the hilt. This way you know how deep the hole in the hilt is and how long the peg has to be. I just held my thumbnail on the spot and eyeballed the length:
Place the blade in the hilt and check if it doesn't fall out easily. If so, drop a little superglue on the peg, put it in the hilt and very slowly turn the blade until the glue starts to settle. Familiar to tightening joints, not unknown to you, I'm sure:
I read the How-to on FFURG, but there were no pics, but it's that method I used. FFURG also has a How-to on making D-rings, but I approached that a bit differently. When my batteries are done reloading, I'll make pics of that as well, ok?
-
Thanks for the photo tutorial. You may want to push this into another thread so that Jeff can link this up to our sticky thread with other tutorials and things. I'm looking forward to seeing the D-Ring tutorial too!
-
No problem, BrentS, just made a new topic of it :)
-
Damn, it's been too long a period of non-customizing! All because of the heatwave of July here in Holland, which made working on the attic (my workspace) unbearable. But now that August is trying hard to be the wettest month of the year, I'm back at it.
I've been working hard on my Kass Todd figure, a hawt Zabrak Padawan from the Clone Wars/Republic comics. Her looks are based on her appearances in the Battle of Jabiim.
I chose POTF Slave Leia's head, because I like the angry look on it. Here are some pics of it with two pairs of Zabrak horns added.
Here are some reference pics I scanned from the Clone Wars TPB Last Stand on Jabiim:
Here are some wip pics of the rough assembly of the figure. Kass' hair is quite long (there's a tiny shot of her back in the comics), but not as long as you see now. I'll trim that later. I used Fritzkrieg's excellent tutorial to attaching ball jointed limbs on peg based bodies. Worked like a charm! Thanks man!
Although the shoulders look a bit bulky, that will be covered up with the leather vest Kass will be wearing. As always, let me know what you think of it so far!

SWEET! Happy to see you are finishing this character Incom! ;D
-
Wauw she's coming along nicely! Can't wait to see the finished product.
-
Wow, had to dig up my thread all the way from page 3 ;D. That's what I get for not updating for more than a month, ha! Kass Tod is slow on progress, due to difficulties in finding/mixing the right colour for her skin.
However, here's Jedi Knight Szaru Faallor, my entry for the September competition over at Yakface. Szaru was one of the lucky Jedi to receive the altered signal from Coruscant and acted accordingly. Like other 'fugitives' of the Empire, he stayed in hiding in the Outer Rim territories. He led numerous succesful uprisings against the Imperial oppressors and gained much love and respect from the locals. Of course, his presence did not go unnoticed by others either. After five years of rebelling against the Imperials, one of his 'loyal' followers led him to the wrong end of an infamous red lightsaber...

Parts used:
head, arms: GI Joe VvV Dr. Link Talbot
Torso: Saga Han Solo Bespin Outfit
Legs: ROTS Ki-Adi Mundi
Coat: GI Joe Monkey Wrench
Custom made leather belt, holster and two shoulder patches.

I thought I'd give you a quick glance at a special RepCom I've been working on: RC-J1406, a specially trained Commando, whose main job it is to hunt down Jedi. His cortosis alloy armour comes in handy at the job ;)
He looks like a member from Omega Squad, I know, but I actually based this figure loosely on a Japanese character named Jin Roh. I'll add a wash and some dry brushing of course, as well as other details.
-
Just scroled through your customs and it was well woth the time. Very well made!
The new commando is looking really sharp too.
-
;DWow these are cool!! Since I'm trying to make more jedi,it helps too.So far i have a dresslian, duro, djas phur-I'm not really sure what spiecies he is. Bith,Squid head, wookie A'sharad Hett(tusken jedi) in the process of making a wolfman jedi but pics help alot and gives me ideas
-
Thanks for the nice comments Anton and Deanna. Hope to see some of your Jedi soon, then, Deanna :) It's always nice to hear someone say "hey, that's a cool idea, I'll have to try that." :)
-
Nice customs! Especally the Marine, Hasbro should of mage SG carma on the Marine & Airborne. :'(
-
Lookin sweet man. How did you modify that helmet? Looks like a different visor. It reminds me of Boba's or Jango's helmet a little. Nice.
-
Jedi Master on pg 2 looks like Cin Drallig (or however you spell it)
-
I guess there's a bit of a couple of Jedi in my Jedi Master. I can see some resemblence with Cin, too:
Paul, I used a very small amount of putty to fill up the vertical bit of the visor. Nothing fancy, actually :)
-
I finished work on Clone RC-J1406, part of a specially trained group of Commandos, skilled in hunting down and battling Jedi. Like I said in my last WIP update, this guy wears custom made cortosis alloy armor, which can take a blow or two from lightsaber strikes 8). I got that idea from those nasty dudes in the game JK2: Jedi Outcast. He also carries a backpack which can supply him with some sort of stimulant that will enhance his reflexes and stamina. Pretty handy when fighting those pesky lil' Jedi. 1406 lost his left hand in one of those encounters and had it replaced with a robotic/cyborg hand.

Recipe:
- Scorch figure (obviously) with modified helmet
- AT-TE Gunner's head
- Saga/OTC Snowtrooper shoulder plates
- Cmdr. Bacara belt
- custom made kama by Outrider (thanks man!)
- Scorch missiles (backpack) with hose from Saga AT-AT Driver helmet
- shortened Clone rifle
As always, feel free to share your likes and dislikes :)
-
AWSOME! I love that helmet deco, the shoulders are perfect, and the colors go together so well. Not to mention all the cool acessories! This is my favorite custom I've ever seen of yours, bravo!
-
wow that clone looks great. awsome work dude.
-
Thanks for the feedback! It was a real pleasure making this figure, probably because most of it went quite smoothly. I'm really considering making three more of these, with this one being the squad leader....
But first, I'll make a fat guy.
-
Here are two new customs. First, a quickly made Gnarls Barkley, as seen during the MTV Movie Awards. Search YouTube for "gnarls barkley, mtv" and you'll see what I mean. Nothning serious, just a little laugh:
Recipe:
Saga Vader: body
Mace Windu (Geo Rescue): head
Then I have the fat guy I mentioned in my previous post. He is Sibosa Scapr, a former bartender at the Mos Eisley cantina. He started out as a Twi'lek crime lord (for a Yakface competition), but saw the error of his ways and became a bartender ;) :
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/2463348/EqTSes.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/2463347/PoNuir.jpg)
Recipe:
Orn Free Ta: head, hands and feet (never thought I'd willingly take a peek under his robes for them :-\)
POTF2 Malakili: body, arms, legs
Sculpted belt, buckle and towel.
As always, let me know you likes and dislikes! :)
-
:o :o ;D ;D 8) 8)
-
I finally finished work on Kass Tod. It was quite easy after having found a suitable skin colour. I'm not 100% happy with one of her horns, but since I jammed pieces of paperclip in her pretty face and spent a lot of time adding the hair, I'll leave 'em like they are.
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/2506891/8Y1gDs.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/2506893/jz03LR.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/2506894/v9Jd9s.jpg)
Recipe:
- head: POTF2 Slave Leia (heavily modded/repainted)
- arms: ROTS Saesee Tin (upper arms shortened a bit)
- hands: ROTS Agen Kolar
- torso: EP1 Adi Galla
- legs: AotC Obi-Wan Pilot
custom made leather Jedi attire
custom made hair
And not without some sense of pride, I present to you a custom inspired by my own lil' girl Linet Starbright (Linet's her real name, Starbright is fictional). She's 1+ right now, but I think this could be her as a young Jedi in a couple of years :D Credits for this concept go to JediDre, who made a clone commander named after his son Kellen.

Recipe:
- head: G.I. Joe Scarlett
- body: Zett Jukassa
As always, I appreciate your thoughts and comments 8)
-
Excellent work on Kass my man, she looks dead on. I like that thing you did with her hair. I can imagine how much of a pain that was.
The Linet figure is beautiful. Excellent job on her too. Inspired customs like this are wonderful to see. ;D

-
Thanks D_E and JesseVader.
D_E: I got some comments about Kass' hands being too manly (they're from Agen Kolar, after all). I think I'll replace them with Adi Galla's. The hair was quite a job to do, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. I based the technique on how the hair on my daughter's Dora the Explorer backpack/doll was applied. Next time I'll try and make a tutorial, for those interested :)
Jesse: yeah, it seems Screamin' Mace has a lot of potential for the customizing scene 8).
-
OMG!! That Gnarles is awesome I dont know how I missed that.
ROTFLMAO!! That is excellent. ;D
At least someone found a use for that thing.
-
Great job on the thread for the hair on Kass. He is a very unique jedi. That pony tail is very cool. Did you glue it to make the thread stand up?
Linet Starbright is also a fantastic female jedi. You need to card her. Maybe you could photoshop an old picture of your wife as a little girl and put her head in a matching jedi outfit. It would be interesting to see in a few years if your daughter matches the card.
-
Kass Tod is awesome! It's nice to see more female Jedi. She was one of my favorites from the Padawan arc of the Republic comic series.
-
Phruby, MJ, thanks for the comments :)
Phruby, the pony tail is made of several strands of sewing thread. I glued those together at the base. I then glued that base in the hole of Leia's head. Leia's slave pony tail has a peg, you see. After boiling it pops out quite easily. I glued the end of the pony tail on the back of her head, so that it would stay fixed in the loop position.
Hmm, interesting idea about carding Linet. I'll keep that in mind, should I ever become more adapt at working with Photoshop. Only recently discovered the art of making lightsabers ;)

Here's Dark Jedi Varan E'ron. An average Jedi at best, he never emerged from the shadows of his more esteemed peers. Trying to prove himself while negotiating in a conflict between two hot headed land owners, he got horribly scarred when the not so happy land owner decided to teach him a lesson. Afraid to be mocked by his fellow Jedi, he never returned home. In fact, he exacted his revenge on the man who left him scarred for life, by killing his children, his wife and himself. He joined forces with the other land owner and helped him become a powerful warlord. Varan had discovered his dark side powers were quite prominent and he became quite skilled in using them.

Head: GI Joe VvV Tomax (?)
Body/arms: ROTS Ki-Adi Mundi
Legs: Ep1 Tatooine Darth Maul
LMK what you think :)

pretty cool, i have to say the paint aps are a wee bit weak but overall still a very cool custom, i see clearly ki-adi torso/arms but what are the legs and head? basically, can i have a recipe?
great work and keep it up! 8)

;D ;D AWESOME!! ;)

His head looks great - nice and grizzled, like a hardened vet. The paintjob reminds me of Chewie's work, very well done. Using the static Maul legs would've never occurred to me, and they go really nicely with the rest of the body.
-
Robo Quack, thanks for your thoughts. What exactly do you mean about the paint job? Just curious what can be improved :) The recipe is just below the pics.
Ruprecht, thanks man. Tomax (or whatever) has a real smooth face, but while drilling out his head to fit the neck post, I accidentally slipped a couple of times with my bur :-\. At first, I wanted to throw the head away and look for another, but mangling him up a bit more was more fun ;D. I even wanted to make him legless at one point and have him on a repulsor device or something. That idea will have to wait though.
-
I like it, I think the back story is very good as well.
-

oh duh, i shouldve seen that recipe.
the paint aps seem really thin, making him look shiny and that takes away some of its realism. also, since this happens to me all the time, i cant really blame you, but i can see where you missed a couple spots on the arm joints. all in all, a very neat custom with a cool backstory, but just a couple little pointers i figured id mention. 8)

Ah, I see. Yeah, I normally don't have much trouble with Citadel paints in terms of glossiness. There's two coats of paint, so I don't know why it came out a bit glossy. I don't have dullcote or anything like that. It's impossible to come by here, and I can't order it from the States or UK :(. Otherwise, I'd have applied some of that, of course :)
-
Hi, your Dark jedi is awsome,
and I really like that twilek bartender!

Hm, it's been a while.... Here's a movie crossover I made for the Yakfinities. This is QT-UT, an all purpose utility droid on the set of Kill Bill 1 & 2. This little fella stood in as reserve-backup-last-resort-stunt-triple for Uma Thurman and was supposed to direct the 5th and 6th unit. Unfortunately, his services were never called upon, so he just stood in a corner, acting as a water cooler...

Holy mackerel, it's been ages since I've posted a new figure! These home makeover things are real hobby killers. But I managed to make this zombified version of our beloved mr. Vos. More figures are nearing completion and I just wanna say it's good to be back at the customizing table :)

Let me know what ya think :)

I really like the Kill Bill astromech. Very ingenious.

I'm steadily finishing up some WIPs. Here's a Quarren (bounty) hunter for ya, named Niqrot.

Here's another wiip I finished: a Wookiee Berserker all ready to pound on some nosy lil' clones! I call him Shorryyhn, which means "fierce danger".
Shorryyhn is a 250+ year old ferocious warrior from the more northern parts of Kashyyyk. During the Imperial siege of Kashyyyk he managed to escape captivity and slavery, by fleeing into the thick forests. He encountered Linet Starbright, Jedi padawan and fugitive from the Empire, being hunted by a squad of clones and their AT-RTs. Without hesitation he made short work of the clones, ripping limbs, heads and AT-RT legs along the way. Together they fled deeper into the woods, never to be found again. It is rumoured they eventually formed a succesful pair of smugglers....

Very simple additions that make this wookie unique, very nice. Excellent job with the greenstuff.

Here's a Heavy Support Trooper for the TFU Yakfinities. This guy's equipped with the T-21 rifle (later issued to the Sandtroopers, amongst others) and he has an integrated jetpack on his armour. This allows him to quickly jump to various hotspots on the battlefield. A special shout out to Straxus who made the helmet!!
Personally, I'm glad this one's finished, at least I'm done with it ;) I used the regular AT-RT Driver's body, and painted that white. Never again! Next time, I'll just pick up the Utapau version or something :P

Nice work on your latest stuff here Incom. That clone looks pretty good, I like the new headsculpt a lot. That wookiee is fantastic. You did a great job varying him up enough with the braid, beard, and shoulders to make him look like a completely different wookiee. Those gauntlets really remind me of the hidden blade in Assassin's Creed.
I think my favorite has to be that Quarren. The drybrush on the head is prefect. I never really noticed that headsculpt actually had so much texture. I really like the gloss on the mouth tentacles/beak/or whater the small upper part is. It makes it look nice and wet. You've done a great job melding your armor and that Obi-Wan body together, it really looks like it came like that. Very nice choice of color on it as well. I'm looking forward to seeing more from you.
-
:-[ A belated thanks for the comments guys, they're much appreciated :)
Thanks for the detailed comments on the Quarren, Ryan. That one was a real pleasure to work on.
Anyway, here's Sahhrad Simn, the son of a male Iktotchi merchant and a female Chiss science officer. Simn was viewed as a bastard son, an outcast and his parents, under pressure from their societies, had to give him up after only a few months. He was adopted by a Mandalorian and of course was raised as one himself.

That is an outstanding custom with an awesome paintjob, cool story, and great mix of parts from other figures! :)
-
Iktotchi/Chiss! EXCELLENT combo.
We should have more inter-racial aliens. I can just imagine some of the really cool mixed races from that.
Great custom!

Really excellent custom. Everything fits nicely and is colored perfectly.

would you mind if i posted one of those chiss iktotchi mando pictures up on the forum for my custom mando clan...we were just talking about cross breed mando's TODAY lol

Thanks for the replies guys, I really appreciate them!
Brisk, go ahead and copy the pics, but I'd appreciate it if you put my name up ;)

Jeditaz (http://jeditaz27.googlepages.com/home) made a very cool website using googlepages. This inspired me to do something similar, so feel free to check out Incom's Customs Conspiracy (http://remco.zwart.googlepages.com/customconspiracy)!
It's still in its early stages, but I'm gradually building up on the contents. My latest addition is a section called On the bench (http://remco.zwart.googlepages.com/onthebench), which currently features my Krath Shocktrooper I'm working on.
:)
-
Great for first start. Easy to read and simple layout. As you add content, it'll get better and better.
-
Thanks, still learning how to best place the different areas of the site, but I'm getting there.
Anywho, here's a custom I've been working on for the greater part of April and this month. It's a Krath Shocktrooper, featured in the TotJ comic series Dark Lords of the Sith. First things first: his teeth. I know, I just saw that when checking the pics I took. But trust me, from a couple of feet, you won't even notice it! ;D

And shots of the base and his gear, which is held in place by two pins made of paperclip, that plug into tiny holes in his back

As always, thoughts, gripes, critiques, donations, etc. are most welcome!

Wow that is just bad ass at it's most badassyness :-\
The parts choices are spot on, I see some of the old Clone Wars Mace and Anakin in there and one of the back packs from Mcguire figs.
This looks really good Incom and with a base to boot. ;D

Heh, "bad ass" is just what I'm aiming for, Jedipurge ;D Thanks so much for your comments, man, really appreciate it. I updated my site with this one, and shuffled some pages and pictures around. The full recipe can also be seen there (http://remco.zwart.googlepages.com/krathshocktrooper).

Would never have guessed that to be a Mace head. Excellent.
Photography question: What wattage bulbs are you using?

Thanks Darth_Anton. And er...... I just made these pics near my kitchen window, without any additional lights. It was around 3.30 pm and the skies were clear blue ;D I used a lightblue A3 sized paper sheet as a backdrop. I took the pics two stept underexposed and corrected that in PS Elements.

That explains the beautiful color saturation.

great work on the krath, i've always loved that cover art. nice to see a clever mock-up done in such a masterly way....
-
A belated thanks, Depressis ;D Anyway, I've been working on and off on a couple of customs, but this is my current centerpiece on the work bench:
After reading a very interesting FSM article on weathering natural metal on a P-47 Thunderbolt, I immediately was inspired to do a similar treatment to a Star Wars ship. I picked the A-Wing for this project and went to work.
First, I removed a lot of the raised panel lines and scribed in new ones:
Then I base coated the thing with a couple of layers of silver spray paint:
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4195221/j80zSk.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4195249/QoNDLl.jpg)
Next, I detailed the engines and engine fins with some markings and washes. I'll add more washes after reassembling the fighter.
I'll also revamp the seat and cockpit with sheet styrene. Hopefully I succeed in making some decent on board computer panels and a center column. I'll use reference pictures from the Incredible Cross Sections book.
I then ran into serious painting trouble the last couple of days. It appears the spray paint I used does not accept my Tamiya and Citadel paints at all. Anyway, I decided to mask off the sides and sprayed a layer or two of Chaos Black on the middle section. I'll go over that with some Citadel blue shades, don't worry.
Panel lines have received a wash as well, which was fun to do. Also gave some panels a thinned down gunmetal wash.
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4248250/ENvJVO.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4248246/Qw2OWE.jpg)
-
That's an amazing amount of detail. Can't wait to see the cockpit, love when those things are accurate.
-
Thanks D_A, I'll do my best. I'm even thinking about adding some lighting, as adviced by CorranHorn at FFURG. Never done that, but there's a first for everything. I hope I'll be able to finish the upper body paint scheme and add some decals tonight.
-
Paintwork on the upper body is done, only need to touch up here and there. The engine section is about done for now. Final weathering and such will be applied after reassembling the A-Wing.
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4262179/0hH3WA.jpg) (http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4262180/lgkenU.jpg)
Ran into a slight problem with my decal. I used clear decal paper, instead of white, but now a part of the yellow marking on top of the fins is showing through ::) Didn't see that one coming...
On a cool note, the silver is also showing through a bit which gives the decal a metallic look. Pretty neat ;D (imho, anyway).
Already looked around some modeler's sites on how to add a couple of LEDs. I think that'll look really cool.
-
Another update: the upper body is done, safe for the final weathering.
-
And immediately another WIP entering its final stages. This is just a practice dummy for sculpting. I like to think of this one as some sort of Juggernaut commander. Spray painted in black, painted in Codex Grey, then heavily dry brushed in Fortress Grey. I want to work up to Skull White dry brushing and then make some sort of arctic camo scheme on his kama and a yet to be made poncho 8)
-
The A-Wing is coming along great! Neat idea with the tail art...kinda WWII'ish!
-
So I put on the last layer of dry brushed Skull White and camouflaged the kama. Honestly, I think it looks like CRAP >:(
I tried to apply a temperate snow camo pattern, following directions mentioned here (http://industryfigure.com/berkeley/camo.htm), but it didn't turn out the way I wanted to.
So, I drew this nice kama at work (it's real quiet like there) and I'll practice my patterns in photoshop. Feel free to join in so I can get some ideas for free ;D :P
(http://album.zoom.nl/user/10119/images/388/4274399/FX5bqr.jpg)
-
I love where you are going with the A-Wing paint! It reminds me of a paintscheme on a P-51 Mustang or a P-38 Lightning.
I couldn't really see the decal in detail, so the following is just a random technique I've had success with. Not saying your project needs it.
I found from my days of building model planes, if you really want to make the edges of the decal disappear and make it look like it was painted on, hit it with a light layer of Dullcoat after you apply the decal. It looks like you chose a pretty high sheen silver, so it wouldn't dull that up too much.
I'd practice the technique on something else though first. :)
-
Thanks S_H! Good to hear from you again :) Yeah I know: a nice coat of sealant is obligatory ;)
Anyway, I did some colouring in PSE. How's this?
I am much more pleased with this pattern. Maybe loose the yellow brown colour? I dunno. Pretty hard, getting this camo thing together.
-
Ok, a minor update, but a lot of work for it :-\ I got busy with the cockpit. Here is the right side panel. Not glued in place yet, just a test fit. I use the POTF2 A-Wing's stickers, the ICS book and my own imagination for reference. The panel with little squares is a series of lights (and it's loose), but I think I'll leave that one out and make one from the clear plastic of a CD case. I'd like to try my hand at some
LSD LED stuff....
The left side panel is nearly done, but man it's hard work cutting all that out of a 1 mm thick sheet of styrene...
-
That is some amazing work on the A-Wing; always been my favorite rebel ship. :)
-
Thanks Commissar, the A-Wing is pretty nice indeed. Plus, its small size is great to work with for a first custom vehicle!
Took a little break from this project and made an Aqualish mercenary for this month's Yakfinities (http://www.yakfaceforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=3230).
Ohk Moffu was an Aqualish mercenary/gun for hire. Like most of his species, he was crude and quite aggressive. Double crossing on deals was also one of his traits, which led to his unfortunate demise, when one of his scams was discovered by one of Jabba's henchmen.

I saw this guy today over at YakInifinities. Aqualish mercenary is a great concept. I like the detailing of the hair around the head. That A-Wing is coming along great! Very cool wing symbol on it. How are the electronics coming along for the a-wing?
-
Thanks Phruby, Jedistyle once made an awesome Aqualish with "real" white/grey hair and that contrasting colour works great for this figure.
How are the electronics coming along for the a-wing?
Er..... not :-\ ;) I need to enlighten myself in that aspect first. Maybe I'll open up my FX X-Wing to see how things look inside.
-
Another darn awesome looking figure.
-
Thanks Darth_Anton, glad you like him too :) How's things with your armies then?
-
Ugh, all of my pics at my image hosting site have had their URLs changed. I have switched back to Photobucket, which happens to have transformed into one heck of a hosting site since the last time I was active there. So, without further ado, here's my take on TFU's Shaak Ti, my entry for the Group Project Phruby started at Yakface!
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/TFUShaakTi_14a.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/TFUShaakTi_15a.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/TFUShaakTi_16a.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/TFUShaakTi_17a.jpg)
And a little scene from TFU (I know, wrong Starkiller, but it's the only one I have)

awsummmme :o
-
How's things with your armies then?
I'm nearly ready to photograph my Imperials, but I'm hung up on making custom capes for my red Royal Guards. My Wife just successfully made the proper stitching on the shoulder, but it turns out we still don't have the right cut of the cloth and the material is a tad too thick for it to drape over the figure properly. We're trying to decide how to go from there.
The Shaak Ti - perfect. Another great piece of work.
-
Excellent work there, IncomT65!
Now why didn't Hasbro do make this figure???
-
Thanks for the feedback guys. Oh and don't worry, Hasbro'd be stupid not to make a TFU Shaak Ti of their own.
-
WOW! She's purdy! :D
-
I thought u were the guy who sold these customs at Ebay while ago!
But no, congrats sir, I like TFU & collect them, would love to have one of your customs, your Shaakti rock!

-
That's a cool group of TFU figures. Nope, I'm not the one who made those, but I wonder who did, though.
Thanks for the kind words guys. With Shaak Ti finished, I have more time to work on my A-Wing and TF diorama. Here's an update of the A-Wing's cockpit:

It's nearly finished, just need to prime it, paint it, add the leg straps and steering handles. And then it's on to see if I have what it takes to put in some LEDs ::)
-
That's an insane about of detail. Kudo's.
-
Thanks D_A! Yeah it's quite detailed, but I wanted it to look really different from the stock cockpit. I just finished painting the cockpit! I'm quite happy with it as well. LMK what you think!

SWEET! Can't wait to see it back in the ship.
Excellent job.
-
Thanks man, I contacted a client of our firm who can probably help me out with the LEDs ;)
Anyway, here's a couple I wanted to make for a long time. They're my entries for this month's YF: Entertainers. Here's the lowdown:
Kit and Agen had been best buds long before they were knighted. They were both really good musicians and decided to team up and just jam between Jedi tasks. They had this dream to form the greatest rock band in the galaxy, but unfortunately the Clone Wars hit in full force and they had to put their plans on hold. After the end of the Wars they would leave the Order and find two more fellas to really get things rollin' and take over the galaxy. Both had future visions of hot women, arenas filled with devoted fans and all the hot roddin' speeders money could buy! But events we all know of destroyed their dreams in a devastating way, leaving only questions of what once could be....

I'm still "designing" the other two band members in my head, but hope to get things going soon!

Can't wait to see the rest...I'd love to see a 1/18th scale "Green" amp behind your guitar player. This is gonna be awesome! I can almost hear them....

Again with some sort of fatherly pride, I present to you my second custom figure of my daughter Linet. You may remember her as a Padawan during the last days of the Clone Wars. She escaped captivity with the help of Wookiee friends. Ever since, she's been part of various resistance groups until she joined the Alliance. There she quickly became a trusted and skillful pilot. Besides the Rebel insignia, she also carries the triibal symbol of the Wookiee tribe that gave her shelter, when she was in her teens.

- GI Joe 25th Ann. Scarlett head
- Tycho Celchu gloves + chest box
I sculpted her chest area just a little bit, to create some sort of bosom. This was before those female Evo Rebel pilots came out ;D
As always, comments, gripes, etc..... send 'em my way 8)

It's been quite some time since I've updated over here, but then again, a lot of projects remained in their WIP status
First up is an ARC Trooper I made for a fellow TFN member:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/ARCTrooperMike_09.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/ARCTrooperMike_15.jpg)
Next, a no-paint Black Sun Crime Lord. As soon as I've cleared my work bench of current WIPs, I think I'll make him a bit less Ki-Adi:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/BlackSunCrimelord_01-1.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/BlackSunCrimelord_04-1.jpg)
Then a little diorama I made, featuring a brave female Jedi having just gone through the last battle droid in battle:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/Last%20Droid%20Standing/LDS_19.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/Last%20Droid%20Standing/LDS_17.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/Last%20Droid%20Standing/LDS_18.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/Last%20Droid%20Standing/LDS_16.jpg)
A Phase I Shadow Trooper, for the same fellow who commissioned the grey ARC Trooper:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/UtapauShT_04.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/UtapauShT_06.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/UtapauShT_08.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/UtapauShT_09.jpg)
A self custom for FFURG's Casting Call #55:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/SelfCustom_01.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/SelfCustom_03.jpg)
(don't worry, normally I don't look that aggrevated ;) )
And another mini dio, inspired by the awesome game Killzone 2:
(http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/SW%20Killzone/Killzone_107.jpg) (http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a295/incomT65/Customs/SW%20Killzone/Killzone_106.jpg)

These are some great updates Incom. I really love the mini-dioramas/vignette scenes. The Jedi/Droid scene is my favorite. You have done a really good job telling a story with just the two figures and a base. If it isn't too late I'd suggest maybe adding pieces of another droid or two on the ground, just to help convey that she was fighting more than the one SBD.
That self custom looks really good. It's nice to see someone found a use for one of those Mutt figures. ;)
The female pilot looks great, nice touch with the helmet decals. Keep the updates coming!

Time for my semi-annual update here at JD :-X :-\ ;D

Nice update. The Sullistan Jedi is outstanding. I really lik the dio with Kal and Mereel too.
-
Thanks S_H, always nice to hear from you!
Last night I finished work on my entry for the Swoop Racer Yakfinities. I'm quite the motorsports fan and had this idea of making a former champion swoop racer well past his hay days. I almost finished his ride too, but I accidentally broke off one of the steering vanes :-X So er.... it's back in the shop.

Last minute changes of a couple of minor things on the commissioner´s request: added some more chunks and small rubble, as well as scuff marks on the floor. Also gave Ven a green saber, like it should be :)

Excellent work. Malgus is awesome. Whats your recipe?
-
Thanks Glassman! Darth Malgus has been copied of Jokabofe's (a.k.a. Starwarsgeek) excellent version from quite a while ago. I did a few details differently, but still all credits go to him :)
Darth Malgus:
ROC Doc Lewis (http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/doctora.shtml) - head
Cobra Commander (Battle Armour) (http://www.yojoe.com/action/08/cobracommander28.shtml) - upper arms
TAC Galactic Marine (http://www.rebelscum.com/TAC02marine.asp) - shoulder armour
ROC Flash (http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/flash3.shtml) - breath mask, upper torso, modified upper body gear, lower arms/hands
X-Men Origins: Maverick (http://www.cooltoyreview.com/Hasbro_XOW_CS-Maverick.asp) - lower body, upper legs, neck piece
TAC Vader (http://www.rebelscum.com/TAC16vader.asp) - lower legs, feet, modified saber hilt
And a random sith cape.
Ven Zallow:
Resolute Duke (http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/duke30.shtml) - head (resculpted hair)
ROC Duke (RIA) (http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/duke34.shtml) - torso, upper arms, upper legs
ROC Ripcord (Accelerator Suit) (http://www.yojoe.com/action/09/ripcord2.shtml) - shoulder armour, lower arms
TAC Concept Boba Fett (http://www.rebelscum.com/TAC15McFett.asp) - belt
CW Clone Trooper (http://www.rebelscum.com/TCW05clone.asp) - belt ammo packs
25th. Ann. Wraith (http://www.yojoe.com/action/08/wraith.shtml) - lower legs, feet
Random saber hilt and cloak.
The base was made of a picture frame with two sheets of foamcore painted in shades of brown using a sponge. The pilar's a piece of PVC tubing and the chunks of wall are piece of styrofoam coated with a mix of plaster, woodglue and water.
-
Beautiful work! Nice solid construction. Good weathering. Nice use of soft goods, so they don't look too bulky. The diorama pulls it all together too. Kudos!
-
Never got around to posting this here fella. It's my second Rebel Commando, in addition to the one I made last year for the contest here at JD:

Here's a Twi'lek smuggler (based on a DeviantArtpiece by Greyskull) in memory of Michael Martinez, a.k.a. MercuryArtStudios. As you probably know, Mike was tragically killed in an accident with a drunk driver. This customs has recently been auctioned off and all proceeds will go to Mike's fiancée and their daughter.

Very cool smuggler. I like the use of the joe type body there. She looks like she can kick some ass and has that sexy Asian look to her. The Duro Spacer is also one of my favorites from your recent posts.
-
Very cool new stuff there. I need to check more often.
Thanks Phruby! I need to update more often. But I'm a guy who's quick to start and slow to finish, so there's quite a few WIPs on the table, in various states of progression ::)
-
Got some new Star Wars figures in the works.
This first one will eventually be Mandalorian Novoc Vevut. I have a CW Boba Fett coming my way, hopefully in time, so I can make Ghes Orade out of him!
Heavy Mandalorian, inspired by Deviantist Vinom11. A very early WIP, the only thing I've done so far is make a Jango Fett helmet higher and sculpt the top part of the visor.
Arkanian smuggler, inspired by SWAG artist Travis Moore. I used the head, torso and legs of Ms. Marvel, arms of Juno Eclipse and the feet of (I think) ROC Scarlett:
Last in line is this female spacer, based on artwork by Deviantist Yoitisl. She's not a Star Wars character per se, but the population in the GFFA is quite diverse, so I thought, what the heck. Body is 25th. Ann. Lady Jaye, lower legs of 25th. Shipwreck (or Cutter), 25th. Cobra Cmdr. (Battle Armour) feet, custom cast helmet from Clonehead (still had that, yay!) with tubes from some ROTS Firespeede pilots' backpacks:

Novoc will be part of a mini dio later on, teaching his adoptive son how to shoot :D
Recipe:
- ROC Reactive Armour Ripcord: head w/sculpted dreads
- TLC-ish Jango Fett: body, resculpted belt
- Animated Debut Boba Fett: helmet
-
Wow those are really ambitious. I love those concept drawings. I think the female spacer is going to be my favorite.
-
Thanks Phruby! Yeah, typical for me to add even more new projects to my ever growing collection of WIPs :D
I took a little detour and started messing around with the art of molding and casting. After one or two failed attempts I got the hang of it and produced five pretty darn good looking casts:
The first is a cast of a Snowbunny Padmé head, which I'll use to make a female AT-AT Driver.
The second and third are a modified Ki-Adi Mundi head and the neck post. I'll need five of these, to make the Brothers from Afro Samurai. I sculpted the thick eyebrows and ears and smoothed out the back of Ki-Adi's head. After that I made a cast of it.
The fourth is a Starkiller head, which I will resculpt into the Sithstalker head, with the helmet like add-on. I'll fix the little air pockets on his mouth piece as well. This is the only cast with air bubbles, by the way.
The last is a modified TCW Mace Windu head, which will become the head of Afro Samurai. I sculpted some big ass 'burns, but when I accidentally dropped it on my workbench, both sideburns snapped off! I superglued them back in place and decided to first cast that stage, before working on his huge 'fro :D
-
commented more on your Mando at Yak...
Female AT-AT driver... that sounds interesting! Can't wait to see that Incom!

Here's an overview of some SW projects, including a Sithstalker head for a fellow customizer:

Heavy Mandalorian is coming along nicely. Cool helmet for Sithstalker. It feels like a Cobra trooper to me.
-
Thanks Phruby ;D I hope I can get around making the sides of that helmet. Will give it my best, of course!
As you'll probably know Yakface.com hosts an annual Secret Santa Custom round. Quite a few of us took part and made some great custom gifts for each other.
This is what I made for fellow customizer MrHoppers, a battle damaged Spider Droid and as a bonus a female Jedi Knight. The latter is a custom I made a few years ago, I must admit. I wanted to make a new Jedi, but you wouldn't believe the insane paint rub issues I experienced with that one. Because of the deadline, I opted to add an older quality custom, instead of a new one with a soddy paint job.
The Spider Droid is the Saga Deluxe one (I think), with the walking mechanism ripped out, damage effects using my Dremel and soldering iron and a bit of tubing on the under side. Repainted the entire thing in shades of green and added the obligatory weathering and battle marks.
Despite the pressure of the deadline (shipped Dec.17th., arrived Jan.3rd.) I had great fun making this one. I even thought of adding decals, inspired by that walker seen in Sucker Punch. But like I said, time wouldn't let me.
The Jedi is made from a 25th. Scarlett body, ROTS Shaak Ti skirt and VvV Bombstrike head. Fully repainted of course.
Anwyay, enough talk, here's the pics:

Here's a female AT-AT Driver for Tamer from ISY. During the CAFN interview he kind of asked me if I'd be willing to make a custom AT-AT Driver for him. I had this idea of a female driver for a while, so it was a perfect opportunity to make it happen:
Parts used:
- Saga '06 AT-AT Driver: helmet, chest box
- 25th. Lady Jaye: upper body
- 25th. Scarlett: head
- TLC Cesi Doc Edriss (sp?): arms
- ROC Cover Girl: legs
- ROTS AT-TE Driver: shoulder plates
- Marauder Inc.: blaster rifle
More pics on my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Incoms-Customs/197614093610231), of course:
:D
-
Oooo. I really like that ATAT driver. That Spider droid looks great in green. I'd love to see Hasbro make that.
-
Thanks Paul ;D
Here's my second version of Master Ven Zallow, well known from the "Deceived" trailer. The parts are the same as the first one, but on the commissioner's request I made the armour a lighter shade of green. I sculpted the hair a bit differently as well this time.

In case you have missed my first version, here's a shot of him again:
Let me know what you think, always appreciated!
-
WOW. These are all great, but the last two (AT AT Driver and Ven) are nothing short of amazing. Great vision to come up with these and outstanding production. Wow...I have to go look at them again!
-
Top-notch stuff Incom. It really is fun to see just how much better you have gotten over the years. I love the Ven Zallow's. They really are great looking figures. That Novuc figure is pretty cool too. I wonder if you could somehow sculpt some dreads for the helmeted version as well? Just hanging out the back of the helmet. It seems like he wouldn't be able to fit them all up in there. Great stuff! Keep in coming!
-
Thanks guys. I like that idea for Novoc's dreads, Ryan, will give it a shot once I start working on the mini dio with his son :)
-
Definitely liking the Ven Zallow a lot! From a sculpting standpoint I think you really nailed him. The armor pieces look fantastic.
-
Thanks Nicklab, I appreciate it ;D

More to come in the coming days!

Two more updates of what's in store. I have so many projects I just hope to be able to finish a couple of them this year :D
First up is a kit bash Durge, using parts from the different Durge figures Hasbro has put out so far. Each of them is too short in my opinion, so I made him a bit taller. He'll be part of a Clone Wars diorama, featuring the scene of him battling a group of Jedi on the moon of Ohma-D'un. Here he is stomping down on Anakin (Obi-Wan's the real victim in the scene, but he was unavailable for rehearsal...)

Apart from some work on the feet joints, the build is pretty much done.
A project that's been on the backburner for a long time is my Speeder Bike chase diorama. But I picked it up again, learned a thing or two on articulation from fellow customizer Spudafett and completed the first of five or six super articulated Biker Scouts:

Thanks Paul!
This is my last pair of customs I had to hold back for you, until I received confirmation of receipt ;D As some of you may know, ImperialShipYards mods LucasClones and Tamer host the Custom Action Figure News podcast. CAFN is fast approaching the 50th episode and it's a great podcast for the customizing community. Earlier last year I decided to immortalize these two fine gents in plastic action figure form.
So, without further doo-doo, may I present two very respectable officers among the ranks of the fine Imperial navy: Chad Hitchcock and Shawn Groves!

Earlier this year, I got a message from a fellow who asked if I could duplicate the Twi'lek smuggler I made in 2011. I didn't have the same base body, but version 2 turned out pretty nice and somewhat different looking.

The commissioner also showed interest in an older custom of mine, a Zeltron female, and bought that as well:

Wow, that's well done! Awesome custom dude.

Back in 2010 I made a commissioned diorama of the duel between Darth Malgus and Jedi Master Ven Zallow. Later on, I was asked to make another Ven Zallow and last year again someone wanted me to make a custom figure of this character.
Version 3 is quite different from the first two. The client wanted quite a few changes, most notably on the armour. This is the reference pic:
(http://i740.photobucket.com/albums/xx49/incomscustoms/Ven%20Zallow%20v3/Ven_Zallow_zps81f06b69.jpg) (http://s740.photobucket.com/user/incomscustoms/media/Ven%20Zallow%20v3/Ven_Zallow_zps81f06b69.jpg.html)
And this is the custom figure:

This is a follow up from the same client who commissioned the Twi'lek smuggler. Turned out to be a very fun project to work on, with quite a bit more sculpting than anticipated at first.
Rachi Sitra is a Twi'lek character from the SW Galaxies Trading Card game: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rachi_Sitra (http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rachi_Sitra)

Already working on a fourth Ven Zallow. Here's a wip shot of the fourth version of Ven. This time I'll sculpt his shin armour as well, instead of just using the lower legs of that GI Joe Wraith figure.
