Thanks Paul!

This is my last pair of customs I had to hold back for you, until I received confirmation of receipt  ;D As some of you may know, ImperialShipYards mods LucasClones and Tamer host the Custom Action Figure News podcast. CAFN is fast approaching the 50th episode and it's a great podcast for the customizing community. Earlier last year I decided to immortalize these two fine gents in plastic action figure form.

So, without further doo-doo, may I present two very respectable officers among the ranks of the fine Imperial navy: Chad Hitchcock and Shawn Groves!

Recipe:

Fleet Admiral Chad "LucasClones" Hitchcock:
- Admiral Ozzel body
- Galactic Marine head w/sculpted moustache
- Lt. Jundland cap

Lieutenant (Commander when wearing the armour, nice going Hasblow ;) ) Shawn "Tamer" Groves:
- VTC AT-AT Commander body and accessories
- GI Joe Chuckles head cast, supplied by DocOutlands

This female Endor Rebel Scout was made for the 2012 ImperialShipyards Secret Santa round.

- GI Joe ROC Cover Girl body
- Saga '06 Endor Luke Skywalker poncho, belt, blaster
- TAC/TLC (?) Hoth Han Solo binoculars

Quality stuff here, man. Love that Jess figure, that one's plain awesome!

Two more updates of what's in store. I have so many projects I just hope to be able to finish a couple of them this year  :D

First up is a kit bash Durge, using parts from the different Durge figures Hasbro has put out so far. Each of them is too short in my opinion, so I made him a bit taller. He'll be part of a Clone Wars diorama, featuring the scene of him battling a group of Jedi on the moon of Ohma-D'un. Here he is stomping down on Anakin (Obi-Wan's the real victim in the scene, but he was unavailable for rehearsal...)

Apart from some work on the feet joints, the build is pretty much done.

A project that's been on the backburner for a long time is my Speeder Bike chase diorama. But I picked it up again, learned a thing or two on articulation from fellow customizer Spudafett and completed the first of five or six super articulated Biker Scouts:

Darksiders Ulthane and Death:
Ulthane is close to being paint, need to finish his sculpting his hammer. Death has finally recieved a suitable hairdo, after numerous sculpting attempts didn't work out.

More to come in the coming days!

Alright, time for a WIP update:

1st attempt from a year or two ago:

2012 version, using GI Joe parts for hip articulation:

Steampunk Han and Chewie, inspired by SW artist Tom Hodges:

Like I said when the big RS overhaul took place, I frequent RS less and less often. I'm a customizer and rarely get out much (from the customizing section, that is, in real life I do get out. Really!), but events like this worry me. Then there's the whole image content issues I've been reading about.... Geez....

Anyway, take a look at Palpa- er.... PW's list of friends:

Those are great, Paul! Is that Chewie pillow laced with real Wookiee fur...?

Awesome job on those  :)

Well there are so few out there anymore. My personal favorites are Chewie, Incom, Fritzkrieg and Daigo-Bah.

Thanks, Paul, I appreciate it!

Let's not forget Sithfire30, Starwarsgeek and Stronox.

Season 2's last episode was terrific. Loved how Danaerys (sP?) handled herself and the last scene was epic. Love this series: boobs, brutal violence, dragons, face changers, zombies.... Plus, the variety of scenery is also pretty damn cool.

Rock Am Ring in Germany was great. Awesome performances by the bands of old, like Metallica, Machined Head, Lamb of God. I'm not much for alternative rock anymore, but Shinedown put up a good show. Tenacious D was hilarious and man, do they have a fanbase in Germany! Unbelievable!

Skrillex was also there. My buddy's all over that guy, but I just don't get it. I mean, R2-D2 can do the same trick.

Anyway, I'm super happy my home town has a genuine, decent venue now (www.metropool.nl). I used to drive 100 miles to Amsterdam to see live music, but haven't been there in a long time, now that I can just hop on my bike and go see whoever I like. Prices are still really fair as well, so I'm gonna see Fear Factory, Soulfly, Gov't Mule for sure :D

Thanks Nicklab, I appreciate it  ;D

I'll be seeing the D at the Rock-am-Ring festival in Germany (www.rockamring.com), along with a lot of other good bands. Really looking forward to that!
