Well i bought mine for 23 pounds from r2dtoys.com seeing i dont really live near a Toys R Us, and it is definatlly one of the best promotional figures ever.
Whats your views on it? 8)

I wish my local TRU had something that I could buy to earn the thing. They haven't re-stocked last I checked, and even if they did its so close to Christmas! I hope they have some after Christmas, but I doubt it.

I have four silver R2-D2's right now. I have one that is C-9.5, two that are C-8, and one that is about C-6.5 (bubble is dented). I purchased some figures, Jedi Starfighter ship, Action Fleet vehicles, and the new Slave I.

It's so sad... the TRU clerk I talked to, Wanda, had no idea wtf I was talking about! :(

I have a friend in the US that picked one up for me. :) Very nice figure. Look's great next to my Silver Vader. ;)

Wanda still works there :( but alas, I got my Silver Artoo as an early Christmas present from my mom's best friend. It so rocks... I love the shine! :) ;D

I finally got one(well I'll be getting one)!! In roughly 3 hours I will win one from the AllTroops.com Troop Training Contest. No one has come close to beating my 24 multicharges. Lets hope that it doesn't happen at midnight. ;)

I'm not sure how hard they were to get in the St.Louis area !! The first TRU I called in St.Peters Mo, the gal I talked to knew exactly what I was wanting. She said they had two and she would hold one for me (whatagal)!!! I was there in 15 minutes and grabbed a Anakin and Zams speeders and a Perfect R2 !!!! I never saw any at the store either. Maybe my store was one of those who let the sealed cases somehow work there way onto ebay.
The people at my local store don't seem to well updated on whats comming out.
