Who knows what the brain-trust at Hasbro thinks sometimes, Rob.  Although the small infiltrator did sell pretty good.

Looks like Elvis Dumerville is going to miss most, if not all, of the 2010 season due to a torn pectoral muscle during training camp.

Shame...he's a great help to their defense.

I just don't see a live action series working with just background characters...and there's no way they're going to get any of the main characters to do this.

I think there's where they run into the money problem...not the effects.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Better "Toys" Vintage or Modern?
« on: August 6, 2010, 05:34 PM »
Just comparing the 3 3/4" lines I'd say Vintage made the better "toys" because starting from day one the figures fit into the ships!  It's only been in the last two years I've been able to get a modern Chewbacca into the Millennium Falcon cockpit.   :D

From a collecting standpoint, I think the modern figures are much better to display.  If you look at my collection, about 85% of what is displayed is modern.  It's much nicer to display the modern figures because because of the superior articulation and accuracy in sculpts, they make better scenes.

All my vintage figures displayed (which I have great fondness for since they are all my toys from childhood) Are displayed standing in one cabinet in my collection room as a museum piece.

I can't see an AAT being made for the 3 3/4" line.

The republic shuttle from ROTS would be awesome though.

I don't, but I'm working on my shelves to make them a little more dioramaish....still no backgrounds though.

I'll update my collection page with pictures when I'm done.

Good question, Brian.  I've been thinking about what I would like to see and the possibility of us actually getting it:

- Sith Infiltrator - Doubtful (it should be the size of the Queens Starship and Hasbro thinks we were lucky to get the POS we did)

- Death Star - Possibly...but playset is a bad word (like you mentioned)

- Imperial Shuttle - Maybe

- Sail Barge - If done it will be in 2013

- Twilight - You'd think they would've done it already...it depends on what role it has in the future of the CW series

I don't see a whole lot of larger vehicles they could do.  I'd like to see a Tantive IV and a Star Destryoyer (they could do them similar to the Lego Versions and I'd be happy), but I don't see them being done.

I like how they have a picture of him and the caption is "George Lucas and Friend".  Did they not know that was Steven Speilberg?

Celebration V: Orlando / C V Build-A-Droid swap meet
« on: August 5, 2010, 11:52 AM »
I'm hoping for a little help here.

Since I cannot go to C v, I need some help with some BAD parts:

-Head and middle leg of the blue astromech from the ROTJ wave
-Left arm and right leg of the YVH droid

I have various droid parts I can send to who ever is willing to help out.

Collect All 92! / Re: AT-AT Driver
« on: August 5, 2010, 11:42 AM »
The Legacy Collection figure we got last year is (IMHO) perfect. I'm actually very surprised that they didn't add him into the Vintage line-up as a repack, especially with the AT-AT coming out.

Probably because he's a pack-in with the AT-AT.

Oh how I miss the days of $4.99 SW figs.

When SW figures were originally on these style of cards they were $2.50.

One of my favorite ESB figures!  Mainly because I got it the same Christmas I got the AT-AT.  I thought the POTF 2 versions were fine, but the TLC version is awesome!

I went to Wal-Mart today and looked for some of the new figures and they don't even have a Star Wars section anymore!

What was the street date anyway?
