Bobafett2007 told me he was going to remove the 5% PayPal fee from his auctions, but now he has simply changed it to a fixed handling fee, which seems legit. It that turns out to be 5% as well. Anyway, he is going to refund me my 5%. This should be in the scams and fakes thread.
Something more on topic. The ridiculous price for this 2008 collectors box is what caused me to stop collecting Kubricks for a while. That and the devaluation of chases by reissuing them as regulars (indiana, halo, han luke stormtroopers, boba fett). Before that I was a completist. Well almost. Last year I started buying my first bricks again. But now I only buy the ones that I really like and I try to stay away from chases.

Thanks for mentioning that Adrian. You were right. eBay Surcharges Policy. I have reported it and I am now trying to get a refund for the additional fee.

I prefer to buy things directly from the east nowadays. In contrary to the dollar, most people at the office have no clue what the exchange rate is of the yen and simply not bother. If your package gets singled out by the customs officer expect to pay tax + pay a handling fee + wait 1 to 2 weeks longer. On low values that handling fee can be a real joy killer. Example:
Toys €41
Shipping €13
Tax €10.26
Handling Fee €12.50
Total increase in price €22.76 / €54 = 42%
And I would never classify Nixon as a good example.

Found a slightly better picture on amiami. R2 is different with only two legs, but C-3PO seems to be identical to the one from S3. Or am I missing something?

My favourite is 400% Boba Fett Prototype. I love the detailed weathering on it. It cost me an arm and a leg but it is the centerpiece in my collection.
For 100% SW Kubricks my favourite would be the Scout Trooper with Bike. Runners up would be Dagobah Luke, Veers and Shadow Trooper (glossy!).
For non-SW it is Melusine (camo version) from Maschinen Krieger. This one is what started it all for me.

Got my bricks today! They look great. Is it just me or are they shorter than the previous series? Anyway, I decided to add some weathering to the battle droids. Left: an original. Middle: washed and cleaned up. Right: washed and waiting to be wiped clean.
