Slamming on other great sites...

That's classy. ::)

Can you really expect any more from Durge Commander Cody?

Wait, Commander Cody is "Durge?"  The same guy from RS?

I read an interview with her somewhere recently and the question of  red hair came up and she said that she has a little help making it that color.  Her hair is a light brown according to that interview.

Still, her hottness is undeniable.

Has anyone else read this entire thread and feel like they just got done watching the 6:00 news?

It just seems eerily similar to how the press is reacting to the whole Cheney-shot-a-guy-and-didn't-tell-anyone-for-three-days thing...

Eh...maybe it's just me.

Anyway, it does suck that JD wasn't able to have coverage of TF but realistically nothing was shown that we hadn't already heard about and, in some cases, seen pictures of.

I didn't read all the commentary from the various sites, I mostly just looked at photos.  And although it's nice to see pictures and coverage on your favorite site, I always hit 3, 4 or 5 different sites because everyone gets a different shot, includes something that someone else missed or covers other lines that may be cool but not related to SW.

As a matter of fact, a large number of sites I visited for info weren't even SW sites, they were more generic toy sites.  A lot of times those guys end up with better overviews of lines rather than focusing on minute details and that type of coverage is sometimes better IMO.  I take the same approach to get all my news, I don't just watch CBS I also look at CNN, MSNBC, Fox and Internet blogs.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that yes, it does suck that something happened and JD didn't get coverage, but that doesn't mean that coverage and pictures weren't available.  And you don't have to go to sites you don't care for if you don't want to...there was plenty of coverage available from various sites.

Come on, if you're going to mention "Not Another Teen Movie" you have to mention Mia Kirshner:

You know...I know you guys seem to like Scarlett Johansson but I don't care for her.  Not her looks or her attitude from what I've seen of her.

But, Keira Knightley...  That girl is on the top of my Hottest list.

****.  I'd heard a rumor about this a while ago but then never did track down any hard evidence that it was going to happen.

One of the newer issues of Toy Fair of AFD even had pictures of Big Bird and some of the other SS toys.  I thought maybe the rumor I'd heard was just that...guess not.

Kubricks / Re: Kubricks and Minimates

Gotcha.  I guess I didn't realize that a master case was only 4 boxes.  That makes sense since the 3 of you go in on them.

Do you usually save by doing that over buying boxes individually?  I guess I've never asked you that before.  I bought a box of the Bounty Hunter wave way back when...ran me about $100 shipped from Hong Kong.

Damn, Adam...how many boxes of Kubricks do you buy when you order up the SW sets?  Or do you just buy cases?

Sweet score on the Shockwave.  I bought one last year but I think he's missing his knife.  I got a file card with him but not the full back.

Over the last 3 years or so I've slowly been filling in some holes in my collection for 1985 and tacking on the 1986 collection as well as a few others here and there.  Maybe later this year I'll work on it a little more.

Ah, yes.  Emmanuelle Vaugier.  One of the lovelier Canadian exports over the last couple of years.  She hasn't had a breakout role yet though.  She does keep showing up on some of the WB shows though.  Smallville, One Tree Hill.  I think she was on another but I'm drawing a blank and don't feel like hitting IMDB.

Where's he moving to "back east?"  Because I'm really hoping it's nowhere near me.

How do prisoners actually find out about their fellow inmates' crimes? I'd think there'd have to be some sort of outside source involved. Do guards slip out inmate's info to other inmates?

Yeah. When you get to prison you get a little sheet that says all your stuff on it, including what you are there for. People will look at your sheet or steal it if they don't believe you. Word spreads fast, and guards could care less about stopping people from learning what those bastards did.

(Don't ask me how I know all this.)*

* I saw a tv special on it once.

You're right, all the info is available.  Plus the court cases can be looked up in the law library unless the specific case is sealed.  The law libraries in prison can be just as good as any so it's available.

Also most prisons use inmates for garbage detail, cleaning, all sorts of things where they have access to info.  Many times they know info about what's going on in the prison before all the guards find out*

*I'd reveal my source but the CO is looking over my shoulder.   ;)

douchebaggery.

What a great word.  I'm going to petition Webster's to add it to their next edition.  :D

It's got my vote! :D

Voted.  It's way better than the more widely used "ass hat."

Didn't he also get discharged from the Air Force for some reason, injury or something?

You know, I have to take that back, about not finishing anything and the Air Force.  I was a little pissed when I wrote it and thought better of it between work, when I posted, and home.  If he was in the AF and was injured on the job it still can't take away from the fact that he served.

It still doesn't excuse the fact that he's a, how did Jesse put it, "sopping wet ******bag."  And what did I say about name dropping?  Calling Dustin and Philip into his tirade?  Pure genius.   I've never said word one against Dustin or DBB and although I disagree with how RS is run some times, my problem is more often with the forum rats than anyone else over there.

I wonder who's name he dropped?  I missed that, but yeah it's funny to think about it.

I don't recall now. He tossed out some high post count names...about how he's "friends" with them.  As if to say that even though his answer was wrong, if his post count didn't make it right, knowing these people would.

I'd like to invite Mister Kenobi back to continue our discussion from last time.  He's called out several people in the Rebelscum Photo Album thread and I think that it would only be appropriate to discuss it in a place where he can actually see the replies.  Since I'm on ignore and he can't see posts from me over there.

Here he calls efranks 'thick'

Just like efranks - that guy is too thick to understand t

Thanks fan-*******-tastic!  He called me out in a thread I've never read, about a comment I made on another board.  I guess I'm going to have to go and read that whole topic now to see why that even came up.  It's pretty funny though...and now we have further proof that he haunts this board looking for any mention of his name.

What's really sad about that comment, recanting his previous marriage support question, is that he probably needs help.  If you lived with that guy wouldn't you be looking for a way out?

I heard about his being sent home from C3.  What a waste of time and money.  Didn't he also get discharged from the Air Force for some reason, injury or something?  It just sounds like he can't finish anything he starts...except his EP1 figure collection.  Which, any die-hard would have completed sometime around 12/31/1999 if they were really a fan.
