With all the talk that the end could be closer than we thought, I was just curious which figs from the OT that people most wanted resculpted before the line dies. Not new figs, just existing figs updated. Pick around 10 figs for each of the 3 films. For me this list ultimately would sum up how well Hasbro handled the line since '95. Although I am fine with the line dying, I would be pretty upset if these figs were not updated before the demise of the line. Give or take a fig or two that are more obscure.

Lando I was just looking for figs that needed resculpts and not any new figs. It seems from the rumors I have been seeing that most of the possible figures coming in the next few years will be comprised of many of these.

I agree with nearly all the POTF2 figures you've all named, but I'd personally like to see one vintage figure remade that never received a modern resculpt - Sim Aloo, the original Imperial Dignitary.

What evidence is there that the line is going to end? As far as I can tell it's as popular as it ever was.

Not saying the line is dead. It seems that the Figures from the 6 films may start drying up over the next 1-3 years. Clone Wars and the New TV show will be the cash cow for Hasbro in the next 4-5 years. There seems to be a general opinion from alot of folks and the fact that Hasbro has been giving us alot of subtle clues IMO. In all honesty there really arent that many new OT figs left. There seem to be more resculpts needed at this pont then the new figures.
From past Q&A Hasbro believes that alot of the figures over the last 3-4 years are definitive versions and would be highly unlikely for them to revisit.

When you look through these lists, and this hasnt been the first, you see the same figs requested over and over. At times I am bafflled why some of these have not been released sooner. Some Collectors wine about the same figs being released over and over. Hasbros response is that kids want the core characters and that is why they keep releasing them. Vader, Chewie and R2 really stand out. What about Han, Luke and Leia? Like someone else said. It is no more than a ploy for Hasbro to drag this line on longer than it should be. And as a collector it becomes really frustrating.

Examples? I think they forthrightly acknowledged that sales have dipped, but also said that the way they market and distribute will be adjusted accordingly. The guys at Hasbro a huge fans. I don't think they'll give the line up without a fight.

I'd put Hoth Luke back on there... He's attrocious, as a LUke, IMO.
As a custom fodder regular schmo, he's workable, but as Luke I find his new figure to be an absolute letdown.

I think at least one of these would make for a decent Droid Factory B-A-F. And in that case, I'd lean towards EV-9D9 since that droid has some dialogue.

You know, I'm actually pleased with the Star Tours version (which is simply the POTF2 version with newer paint apps). But yeah, I do have a soft spot for Ree Yees, I just don't like to show it.
