I am all over this. This is a very worthy upgrade and the paint scheme looks really  sweet and more film accurate. I can justify selling the 2002 version I have. If any of you missed the 2002 version this tool is so good, Hasbro just made it even better with this deco. You got to love the package, they captured the true essence of true Vintage here.

They also almost captured a Vintage price as well.  The Aug release date is the cherry on top, this one is a winner all around. Kudo's for getting this one so right!

One of my favs of the show thus far...  The package, the ship...  Love it, and can't wait to add it to the collection.  The Saga ship is good though, and I can see some folks passing because it's good enough, but I'm definitely into getting this updated paintjob.

Me too.  I've got my Saga'02 version in my Bantha/Tusken attack scene and my PotF2 landspeeder in my Mos Eisley set-up.  I'm thinking about buying this new one and upgrading the ME scene so that Obi and Luke have a better ride to sit in while they are being questioned about droids.  The kids can have the POTF2 version... :P

This is one of the items I'm most excited about as well.  I also have the SAGA version (which I love), but I do like the new paintjob on this one - and although I don't leave things boxed, the vintage packaging pulls me in every time on this stuff.  The Saga Landspeeder is one of my favorite modern vehicles, so it is nice to see it out there again.

I missed the SAGA '02 version of the Landspeeder and have been meaning to go back and grab it for awhile now. I'm glad I was lazy. :)

Echoing the sentiment in here so far, easily one of the top tow or three pieces at SDCC this year (so far anyways) and it is just a repaint. Count me in for at least one.

This thing is really an incredible paintjob update.  I really thought the Saga ship was good, but this shows how much a new coat of paint can really spiff up something.

C-3PO is making some sort of gesture on the box photo.

Yeah he's letting him know he's not the droid he's looking for, the Italian way.

Man, the new high-res pics (http://jedidefender.com/newspro/fullnews.cgi?newsid1314850316,28832,) have really sold me on this.  I love the deco, really really nice upgrade. :)

Very much more vintage-y and more 70's looking deco...  I like it a lot too.  It's a repaint but more than enough for me to rebuy.

I forget the Target DPCI price but was it $20?

Windshield is still too low, but still sleek.

Jesse, I thought it was going to be closer to $15, shockingly. I'm planning on snagging this as soon as I see it.

$15'll be nice Diddly, I hope that's the case.

In this day and age, I just assumed $20 minimum.

Yeah, anything over $20 would be ridiculous and might actually cause me to pass. The pic posted above said $16.99, so I'll probably hope for that but expect to pay $19.99.

Hasbro's SRP at Comic-Con was $16.99. If Target charges more than $20 I'm waiting for clearance... I better be getting a pack-in figure for that much!

Yakface is reporting these were found...  Good times.  :)  DPCI's 087-06-1732.

Just found Wave 9, and back to going to Target routinely if I can I guess.

$24.99 each, according to the Yak.

Just...wow.

I'm not really shocked, but the Taun-Taun it's a good bit pricey.  You should get a figure with it at the very least.

The Speeder I'm sorta ok with at that price, but really would it kill them to include Luke?  Seriously?  Or a Hoth Trooper with the Taun-Taun?  Seriously?

This is a must have in my opinion. The updated speeder is fantastic, yes overpriced but well worth it! I was afraid when I sold my old one but have no regrets after I opend it, it looks very screen accurate.

Isn't this just a repaint of the TRU Saga version?  I never even opened that thing - wherever it is.

The Saga Landspeeder is one of my favorite vehicles of the line, very well done.  This new version appears to be even more screen accurate, so I'm really looking forward to picking it up.  It hasn't hit here yet, but hopefully it won't be too tough to get a hold of.

Spotted this today, the only one of the three exclusives my store had. I passed though, I said I wouldn't pay more than $20 and I'm sticking to it.
