Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What's the worst job you've ever held?
« on: September 13, 2008, 08:07 PM »
Seeing as I only had two jobs, I would say my worst job would be working as a Courtesy Clerk at Vons grocery store.  I loved most of the people I work with but there were times when I couldn't stand it because of sick people who figure they could do whatever they wanted to do since they didn't have to clean up the mess.  For an example some lady had her young son pee on the floor of one of the food asile.   Luckly I didn't have to clean up one of my other coworkers had to.

Ended up getting two orders for Jinn because of GG " The system was unable to process your order at this time. Your credit card was not charged, please try and re-submit your order. If the problem persists please contact customer service."  So hopefully I can get them to cancel one of the orders since the limit was one per member.

Why would you cancel !!!! Hook a brutha up ! ! ! !  ;D

Wasn't sure if Gentle Giant would cancel both of my orders or not since the limit was one per membership.  So I decided to play it safe and called to cancel one of the orders, of course both of them are still pending on my credit cards at the moment.

Ended up getting both of my orders even through I called to cancel one.  Guess the 1 per member isn't true at all.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Computer Help & Tech Support
« on: August 14, 2008, 10:56 PM »
Hopefully someone here can help me.  My desktop computer won't connect to the internet and I get a message down by the time saying that the "Local Area Connection, has limited or no connectivity".  I go into the local area connection status and hit the support tab to see a message about the limiited or no connectivity but also "This problem oocured because the network did not assign a network address to the computer".  I have tried to do the repair option but it dosen't work.  When I try to get only my Timewaner Cable tries to diagnose it but the only thing it does is statw that "... has determined that a network card incorrectly configured.  The card should be able to receive a new network address each time it connects to the internet.  Instead it is setup to usee a fixed address at all times". (I have had this problem before but usually got it fix by following the Roadrunner to try to refresh the IP Addess, but this time it can't do that).  I'm using my sister labtop which is on a wireless network (hookup to my desktop) and the internet works fine.  If I plug her laptop into the moderm it ends up getting the "Limited or no Connectivity" issue as will.

If anyone knows anything that can help it would be apperciated.

Whew....Airborne Trooper is SOLD OUT.

Glad I decided to buy two when I saw them while at work.  Wonder how many will be around once all of the duplicate (no discounted) orders are canceled.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Disneyland!
« on: July 31, 2008, 02:20 PM »
Yeah, this thread hasn't been posted to in almost three years, but it beats the heck out of starting a new, almost identical one!

Anyway, my family is going to Disneyland in about three weeks. It'll be the first time for the girls (ages 4 and 3) and it's been years since either my wife or I have gone. For the Disneyland officianados, anything we should definitely know/do? Also, we'll be driving down from the Bay Area, so we'll probably arrive in the late afternoon. This'll give us possibly enough time to hit the parks that evening for a bit. In addition we'll be staying two more full days. Should we get 2-day or 3-day park hopper passes? Also, I see tickets on eBay that are deeply discounted, but most are stated that they're for SoCal residents only (though the sellers always state, "They don't check your ID!"). Any tricks to getting discounted tickets?

Let the ideas/suggestions flow!

I know over at California Adventure they just opened up the Toy Story Ride, I haven't been on it yet since I haven't been to Disney in a few months, so I can't say what its like.  Some work places have discounted tickets available to their employees not sure if you or your wife have this available or not. (I know my former job and current job offer discounts to Disney and other places).
