So did anyone actually buy one of these?

Even within the 3.75" lines of the past there have been clunkers that were way too short or way too tall. Might as well wait to see these in comparison shots before getting too upset about scale.
Potential scale issues aside, so far I am not seeing anything that I need to buy. Just more main characters that I already have...
Star Wars needs an introductory line for the 1:18 scale. How many 8 year olds are clamoring for TVC figures right now? Or their parents who are not existing collectors?
I’ve seen Hasbro’s Marvel Epic Hero Series figures. They’re not up to the standards of the old Marvel Universe line, but they’re not garbage. They’re an introductory series that can offer vehicles that won’t break the bank. In fact , I already have some of the Marvel Epic Heroes figures from GotG volume 3. I need to compare them for height with some current TVC figures. I think some people might be getting unnecessarily hung up on the 4” figure thing.
This line makes sense in advance of the release of the “Skeleton Crew” series. That’s supposed to feature a number of kids in the cast. A line like this seems like it could support that Disney+ series in real time and reach that broader audience.
Plus, this line could be a way to get more 1:18 scale vehicles back on the shelves of the big box retailers. Lots of collectors recognize what junk the electronic 12” figures are, but they’re keeping that lower shelf space that used to be occupied by vehicles. A vehicle line that consists of ships that are all priced above $100 is not friendly to the market. TVC vehicles have been amazing, but they get released at a very slow rate. A $30 to $40 assortment of vehicles is much more accessible to the broader market and has the potential to generate volume sales. I don’t think for an instant that this will replace the Vintage Collection, but it can definitely help build out worlds at a more affordable price point.
TVC proves it's popularity by backing all three TVC Haslabs made.
TVC is way behind Black Series in new characters and product in general.
Hasbro's solution: create a new 4 inch 5 POA line that does not fit in scale with TVC.
All of us here, in this antiquated forum, are the outliers.
Why Dooku? Because he won a fan choice poll over on Instagram.
Instagram seems to be Hasbro's go-to source for "what do the fans want" these days. Try as I might, Hasbro doesn't really care about us "forum folks" anymore.
I am very excited about Count Dooku. He has not been in the line in a long time, and I think that the updates look good. Having him on a TVC card is really cool, and I like the artwork. And I'm hoping that Dooku sells well, because if he does I hope that would motivate Hasbro to take on him from Tales of the Jedi. One of those 2-packs with Jedi Master Dooku and Yaddle would be tremendous!
I guess I'd agree that at least Dooku is the most interesting thing out of what the showed... but (and I know I'm an outlier here compared to the whole of people who collect this stuff) I have no fewer than 13 Dooku figures already.
I don't need 14th when there are so many other characters who need to be made... no matter how nice it looks.
ROTS Boker Scout & Speeder Bike are also down to $19.97
I was holding out hope it was in fact going somewhere, but I find it the heart of arrogance on Filoni and Lucasfilm's part to feel so assured they will have the opportunity to continue this into another season, or show, or film in the future.
