Me too Morgbug, that's why I started thinking about it in the first place.  I'm sad to say that I own some pretty craptastic figures :).

Oh, by the way, here's my choices:

Obi-Wan Kenobi - Outlander Nightclub Encounter (except I gave him Coruscant Chase's lightsaber)

Anakin Skywalker - I suppose Secret Ceremony, although I don't really mind the Hangar Duel one either (except the wrist and magnet on mine are both loose/weak)

Jango Fett - Probably Kamino Escape, although I kind of like how the preview one looks as well.  KE is a better "basic" version, with the removable helmet, etc.

Mace Windu - None are the best, but probably the Jedi Council one with a lightsaber.  Deluxe wouldn't be so bad, but has some problems of its own.

Yoda - Always liked Jedi Master Yoda, but the 2pack version is nice as well.

Dooku - Geonosian Escape

Zam Wessel - Bounty Hunter

R2 - Coruscant Sentry (sound is kind of neat), there are better non-E2 R2s though

3PO - Deluxe version

Clonetrooper - Without question, Super-posable Clone Wars version...if only it was easier to find :).

Saga '02-'04 / Episode II Multiples: Your Favorite Version?
« on: March 25, 2004, 02:30 PM »
I have been looking over my figure display, and I have noticed (particularly with the Episode II figures) how many multiple versions I have displayed of the same characters.  I have been thinking about packing a few away, just to save some space.  I was curious what some of your favorites were, of the different versions available of these characters:

Obi-Wan Kenobi
Coruscant Chase (2002)
Jedi Starfighter Pilot (2002)
Acklay Battle (2003)
Outlander Nightclub Encounter (2003)
Force Flipping Deluxe (2002)
Kamino Showdown Deluxe (2003/2004)
Clone Wars (2003)

Anakin Skywalker
Peasant Disguise (2002)
Hanger Duel (2002)
Tatooine Attack (2002)
Secret Ceremony (2003)
w/Geonosian Warrior Deluxe (2002)
Force Flipping Deluxe (2002)
w/Swoop Bike (2003)
Clone Wars (2003)

Jango Fett
Preview Figure POTJ (2002)
Kamino Escape (2002)
Final Battle (2002)
Slave 1 Pilot (2002)
Deluxe Version (2002)
Kamino Showdown Deluxe (2003/2004)

Mace Windu
Geonosian Rescue (2002)
w/Battle Droid Deluxe (2002)
Arena Confrontation (2003)
from Jedi Council Pack (2003)
Clone Wars (2003)

Yoda
Jedi Master (2002)
Jedi High Council (2002)
w/Chian 2 pack (2003)
w/Super Battle Droid Deluxe (2002)
Clone Wars (2003)

Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus
Dark Lord (2002)
Force Flipping Deluxe (2002)
Geonosian Escape (2003)
w/Swoop Bike (2003)
from Geonosian War Room pack (2003)

Zam Wessell
Preview POTJ (2002)
Bounty Hunter (2002)

R2-D2
Coruscant Sentry (2002)
Droid Factory Flight (2003)

C-3PO
w/Removable Panels (2002)
Droid Factor Deluxe (2002)

Clonetrooper
Preview POTJ (2002)
Red (2002)
w/Speeder Bike Deluxe (2002)
3-packs (2003)
Gunship Pilot (2002)
Clone Wars Super Articulated (2003)

Ok, you can really never have enough Clonetroopers I guess, so that one probably doesn't count.  I personally don't have all of these figures (force flippers, Anakin/Dooku w/bikes, R2 Droid Factory Flight, etc.)...but which version do you prefer the best of these...or who do you think could still use a "good" version?  I didn't include Padme on this list, since most of her figures are in different outfits...although I guess the Outlander Peasant Anakin is different as well.  Anyways, just curious as to some of your opinions on these figures.

I'm not sure on this either, but I thought I had read somewhere that Target was dropping the line, but Toys R Us was picking it back up...at least for this year.  I can't remember for sure what assortment they were starting back up with, but I thought it was the next one...I could be wrong though.  It would stink if it was that limited though, and missing from most of the major retailers....especially for such a great line.

I'm definitely no expert on Muppets stuff, but I'm pretty sure that grouping of figures are actually "mini-muppets", which I think are sort of PVC type figures.  I'm not entirely sure though, that's just what I thought.  I wish my wife wanted to collect the Muppets, I have a hard enough time trying to talk her into letting me get a few :P.  That's ok, we probably don't have the money or space anyways...although I did get the approval for an Indy Kermit :).  Sweetums looks nice though, would be a great one to have too I think.

Just noticed that Palisades posted an update yesterday (3/24) which includes a number of pictures of the upcoming Sweetums figure.  I think that it looks pretty good, and I'm curious as to how he will be priced.  You can check out pics of the big scary guy over here:

Yeah, good luck to both you and the Mrs. in the coming weeks Scott.  Keep us posted how everything goes....God bless you all.

Mark me down too, I'd really like to see this figure re-done.  I too have an Unleashed Luke Snowspeeder and it really makes you want a better version in the 3 3/4" scale.  I actually don't even have a version of this figure, since I stay away from the buff figures (got into collecting towards the end of them)...although I will pick up the glass w/figure if I see it (I like those glasses).  I also agree about Wedge, that's another figure I'd really like to see.  I don't have the other version in my collection, and have been holding out for them to do a new version soon.  Hopefully they will.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Star Destroyer Wave
« on: March 24, 2004, 09:26 AM »
I agree HMI, I think it would be nice to see these waves on those sweet OTC cardbacks as well.  If they're going to do some rereleases anyways, they might as well be somewhat new figures...as long as they are not overreleased.  Of course, I don't really see much of anything pegwarm anymore around here, aside from the dignitaries and Outlander Club waves, and some of the animated Clone Wars stuff.

I heard that today as well, I'm starting to feel even more behind :P.  From the report over at GH, it sounds like these first sightings were at Wal-Mart (in Illinois I believe).  Hopefully everyone will be able to find this wave (and the next), I was worried the last couple waves before the OTC cards started might be difficult to pick up (Star Destroyer/Endor Generals).

Saga '02-'04 / Re: SAGA Drying Up Again?
« on: March 22, 2004, 03:10 PM »
Seems to continue to be dry as a bone around here.  Got a chance to do some shopping in a little bigger area (Omaha, NE) this weekend, and it was almost worse there than it is around here.  All I could find was Dignitaries, repacks of Barris, Aayla, and Younglings, and some more Animated Clone Wars figures.  I guess every year has some sort of down time like this, hopefully things will start showing up for people soon.  A side note, I don't think any of the Wal-Marts nearest to us (all three of the "super" variety) even have pegs for the Ultra wave, has anyone else noticed this?

Yeah, I really like the packaging art for these as well.  Even though these are movies we have all seen 100s of times, I am so looking forward to having these on DVD in the fall.  I like how they ended up doing the packaging, and hopefully we'll hear some more details on the extras sometime soon.

I was curious if anyone here caught the new Simpsons episode last night, the first half or so of it had a ton of Star Wars (CosmicWars) references, and really poked fun at how the new movies are quite bad and are lacking the story, etc. of the original films.  They showed the entire movie was basically set in the senate, taking roll call :).  It is pretty funny, especially for Star Wars fans.  If you missed it, I believe TheForce.net has the clips available for download.
